Damn, you managed to ride them before I can. And I literally live near the red line lol. I haven't been able to find these cars in months! It's like they run on a special occasion.
I was able to ride the new Red line cars on this same day too. I much prefer these to the older ones, although I'll miss them. The T also really needs to work on their tracks. The ride from Central to Harvard is soooooo slow.
There’s a tight curve right as it approaches Harvard if your heading to alewife, which is understandable, but before that tight curve, it should be fixed.
Ahh yes! The Red Line CRRC 1900 series cars! I live in NY but I go to school near Boston and I’m still yet to catch one of these on the red. The newest one I’ve seen is the Bombardier train from 94.
I even tried to catch them once back in 2021, and it was complicated. But, it is worth mentioning that the new trains act like the old red line trains, with slow zones, technical problems, etc. Luckily, apart from the expected slowdown, there was no oversight or technical problems in my ride, which is good, but later in the year, it can get a rocky start.

They seem very alike to the newer orange line cars but also sounding similar to the current blue line cars.
Just color changes, and announcement changes, everything else you see is exactly the same as the “new” orange line trains.

I would agree, but it seems as they were using it as training, seeing there was a conductor and another person in the front.
I remember being on the new red line trains and someone played around with the intercom, very canon and weird.
They must’ve been out of it.
