The "train approaching" message is on the commuter rail. The sound of the subway approaching is the Green Line.

I live in Quincy on Elm St. But I found it quite hilarious when I first discovered that Gay St. is bent in the middle (it bends ~90 degrees half-way-down). Since then, I can never help but chuckle every time I'm on one of the buses that makes that announcement!

It's a street off of School Street in Quincy, Massachusetts. I hear this announcement on bus route 230, 215, 236, and 238.

THE train announcements seem to have the only public "voice" that doesn't have a Boston accent.

+Nathan Bush I'm as much of a huge fan of him, too. Why just yesterday, I heard the announcements from route 608 Haymarket via Government Center Loop and the Government Center stop was updated: "Cambridge Street at Government Center Station - no Blue Line or Green Line Service".
