@@TheSurogate Carol Magnus was the first Holy Roman Emperor, but not the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire.
Also in the era of Holy Roman Empire, Rome was autonomous (ruled by Pope) and roman empire still existed. (Eastern Rome)
Also it wasnt even an empire, more like an confederation of bunch of Germanic States.
And it wasnt even holy because there was some sort of cold war going on between Pope and Emperor.
Also Carol Magnus' empire i called Carolingian Empire or Frankish Empire by historians despite him declaring himself emperor of rome, because his empire divided into three nanosecond after he died.
And Holy Roman Empire does not own frank teritories.

It’s mostly semantics. Pope Leo named Charlemagne the “emperor of the Romans”, but I don’t think anyone referred to him as the Holy Roman Emperor, at least not contemporarily. Otto Duke of Saxony was the first to be given the title of Holy Roman Emperor, but you’re right that it was essentially a continuation of the Carolingian empire, because Otto ruled over what were the parts of the former Carolingian empire after there weren’t any of Charlemagne’s heirs to take the title.

      Its called Frankish Empire.
The HRE (at this time called Eastern Frankish Empire) was created by Karls (Charlemagnes) grandson Ludwig.
Because three of his grandsons split the frankish empire into three parts.
One becoming the Eastern Frankish Empire (later HRE aka Germany), one the Western Frankish Empire (later France) and one the Central Frankish Empire, which was quickly distributed between the other two.

Actually many of the elder Nazis were former monarchists, for example Erich Ludendorff, who is known mainly for his participation in the 1923 Beer Hall Putsch, but was also one of the most important generals in WW1. While in Bismarck's time, the German empire still had a somewhat progressive role (mainly uniting all the small states, also implementing a first parliament with limited power (Reichstag) and some social reforms), it was totally regressive and rotten by the time of WW1.

@@TheBlackzmanOversimplification again. For the first centuries of it's existence, the HRE was an unified Empire, which was undone by wrong doings and decentralization. Also, it was the Protector of the Pope in Rome, who also crowned the Emperor and was the first whocalled the entity the "Holy Roman Empire". So, while the HRE didn't directly control Rome, it did so through the said protection and influence, which made it somewhat Roman. Also, everything the pope calls holy is, right? And the picture is a bit misleading, the HRE was at it's lowest point in history at that time, you wouldn't show somebody a picture of Byzantium in 1452 and tell them that that's Byzantium, right?

Can someone explain to me y Germany was blamed for WW1? They didn’t “start the fire;” World War I was triggered by a complex web of alliances, tensions, and events, but the immediate spark was the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria-Hungary on June 28, 1914. The first two countries directly involved in the conflict were:
    1. **Austria-Hungary**: After the assassination, Austria-Hungary issued an ultimatum to Serbia, which led to Austria-Hungary declaring war on Serbia on July 28, 1914.
    2. **Serbia**: Serbia was the country against which Austria-Hungary declared war, marking the beginning of the hostilities.

Well as a German I learned that Austria-Hungary started the war.
Germany was their allies since both empires had long relationships between the high nobles. After Germany declared war other countries with ties to Russia declared war on Germany. Funny thing is that Russia wasn't even being able to go to war because the socialists raided them in that period.
In the End the Brits wanted to see a weak Germany so they and their allies "US" declared war for no valid reason to just destroy the peak German economy at that time, because Britain was in debt and most trade would happen in Germany rather then Britain.

(After WW1) The Treaty of Versailles was more or less the reason for WW2. They punished Germany way to hard. Many people even say the plan was to destroy the country completely through the treaty of versailles. Taking away Germany’s military (from 4 mio to only 100 thousand) was a big humiliation for them. The country had one of the most advanced military and it was definitely one of the biggest prides of the nation. Another problem was that in the territories that got taken away from them, there lived many ethnic Germans who didn’t want to belong to the neighboring countries. They also could’ve never payed the allies with the money they demanded from Germany. The country itself was in a huge economic crises. It was only a matter of time before another war would break out. (And don’t forget that they lost all their colonies in Africa and Asia)
It was also not fair that Germany had to accept all the war guilt for a war they didn’t even start in the first place which made the people even more bitter.

Lets not forget what germany did after the 2.ww. I mean its a big list full of good things. Every other country would be vanished after losing a war and end up being a 3. World country. But not germany. They somehow managed to build up the whole country again in 5 years after the war and become one of the respectable countries in europe again in a very short time. And have a look today on the cars in the traffic and guess from where the big majority comes from. And consider to count skoda and seat also for german cars because they are basically a vw.

Incorrect. When Karl the Great became Emperor, his country was called the Frankish Realm or the Frankish Empire. When his son, Ludwig the Pious, died, the 3 grandsons of Karl, split the Frankish Realm into three parts. It was the Eastern Region, ruled by Ludwig the German, which became Germany.
The year one can speak of "Germany" is the year 919, because in 919 Heinrich of Saxony became the first German King over all territories and therefore formed the real German Kingdom (Roman-German Realm). When his son, Otto the Great, became Emperor and established the "Reichskirche", then Germany transformed into the German Empire, or, by its titles also called Holy Roman Empire of German Nation.
(It was of course not a national state but a [progressive] medieval country in which the term "German" encompassed all offspring of Germanic tribes in the geographical area of the continental Germanic people, for example, in the HRE the Dutch were Germans, the Hessians were Germans, the Austrians were Germans, the Saxons were Germans, the Burgunds were Germans, the Swiss were Germans etc.)
