Not long. Almost a year or so. The chain in engine went to hell and i decided to sell it. Now i am driving Kuga mk2 but its shit comparing to A6. The chain itself was sketchy from beggining i dont know when previous ownwrs change it.
@@surena9451 i dont even know previous owner. He was only car salseman deal was super sketchy. There was a leak from oring in engine. But the chain itself was workig good when i bought it.
I have one too, it's the B7 A4 2005, absolutely fantastic car, amazing engine, underrated performance and sounds unbelievable. I would go ahead and get one.
@@64siskat96 well, you should consider that it will literally eat your wallet. Like the amount of fuel that fucking 3.2FSI smokes is just astonishing. I have ine and i love every bit of it. But i have also come to realize that renting a car+fuelling that is cheaper than to run my own 3.2 A6. So take that into consideration and dont buy high mileage ones
I think the 3.2 has it's issues well known so you can loop them up and find a car which has those issues fixed. The 2.8 FSi and 3.0 TFSI are about the same engine in a sense. The chain system for example is well known and you can find a car that has that replaced. It's fuel consumption is also comparable to the 2.4 while being more powerful (the 2.4 is just greedy for fuel but doesn't give much back in terms of performance I would say), The difference from 2.4 to 3.2 power wise is quite a big jump even though the numbers on paper aren't that far apart. I mean going from 3.2 to 4.2 V8 wasn't the same huge jump for my feeling. In fact it felt a lot the same in daily use in sport mode. The 2.4 is most reliable because it doesn't have direct injection so it won't carbon buildup on the valves. It also doesn't have a turbo, so no forced induction related issues. However depending on how the previous owners have (ab)used the car it can have oil burning issues. It has not much power so most would rev the engine out completely when spirited driving. I have bad memories with my older 2.4 burning oil like mad, but it sounded cooler than my current 3.2 when you did rev it out to 7k. And yes, the 2.4 also has chain issues. Most if not all VAG engines do (even diesels like 3.0TDI) cuz VAG can't build good chain systems for some reason. 2.0 TFSI is worst of them all. You can expect both direct injection related issues AND forced induction related issues (turbo). Oil consumption can also get out of hand quickly, to the point you fill with gas and oil at the same time. I think there was also a specific problem with the camshaft follower in this specific engine. This car afaik has a timing belt so no chain issue but yeah... If I were you I would find a good maintained and fixed up 3.2FSi, preferably with quattro and NOT the multitronic. It can be cool and maybe save 1% on fuel but the quattro tiptronic is much more reliable than the multitronic. Manual transmission is best, only the clutch is most likely to be worn but having to shift yourself doesn't really fit in a luxury comfort car imho.
I am thinking of buying an Audi A6 2.0 tdi or 2.7 tdi, or 3.0 tdi, between the 160,000 / 190,000 milleage (kms) from 2004 to 2009. I travel, on average, 8,500 km per year. Is this car reliable and am I making a good choice?

Not worth, take some petrol model 2.8 or 3.2fsi, y travel 50.000 and i use a petrol engine, its a way better
No! For 8500 km a year you are better of with a petrol engine. Diesel can create a lot of problems with EGR DPF, turbo and so much more
