I wish they would stop trying to make this seem like just because you were an NBA player that you have the most valid opinion as it pertains to anything having to do with a national basketball association... I actually even agree with his Charles Barkley point, but at the same time I definitely think it's fair to question Kevin Durant leadership based off of his career as a hole even though he's an amazing player that will be a first ballot Hall of Famer. The funny thing about all of this is that Kevin Durant came out back in the OKC days and said he wasn't a leader himself, lmao. If NBA players always had the best perspective on everything in the NBA then this podcast will be pointless because they would all agree with each each other on every topic, which we clearly see that isn't the case.
If KD said he wasnt 6lack, would that be true too? NBA players DO have the best perspective, because you know, they were in the NBA. There's all these questions about KD's leadership, while all of the people questioning his leadership cant even tell us what leadership is smh.

7:11 Some commenters are claiming KD said he's not a leader... I'm pretty sure KD made a statement attempting to give clarity on how he leads or presents himself as an example. The sentiment behind his words were I'm not a vocal leader. This has been misrepresented by some as him saying he's not a leader, based on some feeling that a leader must be vocal or else they can't lead. The problem I see with SA is he is rated #1 in his field. He carries that attitude into all spheres. In check this has value. In regards to sport, specifically basketball, he is a frustrated wannabe player they live the life he wished for. SA is known for speaking with passion. Some of the energy is residual 'Skeelo energy'. For the most part his takes are grounded in facts and logic. However, too often he stinks it up with thinly veiled 'I could do it better energy'. Barkley has ALWAYS admitted he didnt do enough to prepare his team for Game 1 and thats why they lost in 1993 because they had home court and lost games at home during The Finals.
Kenyon just basically shrugged his shoulders the whole making facial expressions for a whole 5 mins 😂😂
How is KD sensitive? If someone has something to say about him how’s he sensitive for having a response?
Exactly
No his nt sensitive Steve a liar Smith disrespect lying abt kevin Durant last 6 years to mess up dismiss kd legacy ok

Stephen A Smith wrong like Mase said put equal respect on KD’s name. KD done a lot for the league too.

4:10. I don't dislike Kenyon... but my TH-cam Brain cant focus past the long pauses... Like REAL LONG.
Kevin Durant himself said "I don't want to be a leader. I'm NOT a leader. I'm not good at telling people to stand behind me and follow me.". Now Stephen A is saying it and Stephen A doesn't know what he's talking about? 😂
I'm calling 8 seconds on Kenyon 😂😂😂
Stephen A built his name of tearing down BLK man and that’s a fact
That’s such a lazy platitude. You’d have a more solid point if you were talking about him bashing European players back in the early 2000s.
@ he literally came up off bashing Kwame brown but go ahead captain save a Stephen A FOH 😭😭🤷🏽♂️
You never find any of KDs ex-teammates saying this or backing it up. That says everything you need to know.
Stephen A knows hating on KD brings views. How can the same media who said "This is Devin Bookers team" after KD got traded there, question KD's leadership. If they weren't questioning KD's leadership on Steph's team...don't question his leadership on Book's.
He wasn’t leading shit in golden state but stats he was not one of the leaders they were already in place Steph dray iggy klay
Hating?
We live in a day and time where speaking the truth is hating 🤡

@ it’s crazy I ain’t say the man was trash he just wasn’t the leader 😭😭😭
Rashad said "he keep messing with US" 😂😂😂😂 bro you are not a part of that US
I feel Kenyon is lazy on his takes at times. I think some days he doesn't want to be on set. If you do not feel like working some days on the show, just stay home man.
It’s like he, at times, doesn’t want to be honest when he acts like this. He Ms having inter personal struggles as if he doesn’t agree with the guys but also is trying to have KD’s back as a former player. Kenyon knows KD ain’t no leader & Steohan A points have validity but he don’t want to admit it. So he just gives these takes that really don’t say nothing!
Is it just me or does Rashad remind you of jaguar wright?😂
If you can’t beat them…do you really join em? Cause we all saw KD do just that, don’t go to a Championship Team bro, LEAD YOUR TEAM to one🤣
Why? What's the difference your trying to get the best players either way.
And why would he resign after he told OKC he wants Harden and ibaka instead or Westbrook. As we saw they backed westbrook over kd. But he should resign and be robin to Westbrook? Just for y'all to then say it was Westbrook team and not his.😂😂
Dude literally committed an athletes sin!!!!! TRAITOR!!!!!!!!!

Kenyon, when people take a long time to speak they usually say something profound. The only thing profound is how long you took to say a bunch of nothing 😂
the thing is the new sports media is former players so the weird narratives aren’t gonna be able to fly and be gospel that’s why these media heads who never played are bumping heads with athletes CONSTANTLY
What?? These players are not very intelligent and lead by emotions. Yeah they are hoopers and they cool, I get it. But McCants is dumb as box of rocks. The players lose credibility when they get so much in their feelings and then be uber petty with each other. They talk out of both sides of their face. They want and accept all the praise and accolades but then don’t want the criticism. Kenyon said two things can be true. Imma use you, you’re a clown, so then the other side can say what they want to. These player podcasts really show the limited scopes of their lives. They have no worldly knowledge or life experiences. Everything is about their sport or craft. Once out of that scope, they don’t really have any merit.
@ I agree, some former players in media get microphones and say anything or are petty and project maybe based off how their careers played out. There is a small percentage however that are unbiased and I personally can listen to. I do agree with you about the petty ones though.

Why these players keep calling out journalists for not being players. This never happened back in the day. Journalists promote and make professional sports relevant. Players have a role, media have a role. Neither can exist without the other. These players wouldn’t be getting this money without journalists. What kills me is all these fans talking about someone is sensitive when yall are anonymous behind a TH-cam profile. Nobody will ever care about you besides your family so you dont get it. Traditional AND social media has been crapping on this man for damn near a decade on a daily basis. You have the luxury of being a nobody, so you dont get how that feels.

Some commenters are claiming KD said he's not a leader...
Him criticising KD's leadership smells of "you see what I'm doing in the media. Imagine if I was in your shoes, [insert player name]"...
KD's not a leader. We all know that, even KD himself knows that. I get sticking up for players but let's keep it all the way a buck.
Tell us how he isnt a leader though. Yall struggle to do that simple task.
@smoothsavage2870 it's not hard to see if you've been watching is career
@@smokejones4484 I watched his career and there's nothing I saw that said he wasn't a leader. Out of all these comments saying he's not a leader, not one of you can actually say why he isn't a leader. It just goes to show how most of you just blindly parrot media narratives.
@smoothsavage2870 this in no media narrative this is from eye witness claims of seeing him disappear in the clutch time after time after time in OKC, PHX & Brooklyn. Every team he was supposed to be a leader on he never lead to the promise land. That's the explanation. What he did in GSW is irrelevant cause Steph was the unspoken leader
