I have watched so many reactions to PTX, and this arrangement especially, but you are the first that I have heard pay attention and compliment the technical difficulties stitching these songs together entails. You bring such a cool perspective, and you explain the musical theory behind their choices very well. Thank you!

I knew they "knit together" several Daft Punk songs, but didn't understand the depths of the mastery. No wonder they won a Grammy for Best Arrangement! Thanks for the analysis.

They did manage to squeeze in "Around the World", in an oddly appropriate way. While Avi us singing "Television Rules the Nation", in the background Kirstie fits in a couple of "around the world", and during the big breakdown at the end, she works in two more. It's really subtle, but there is a reason that they won a Grammy for the arrangement.

I am also checking out your other content. I really enjoy your reactions! And THANK YOU so much for explaining how DJ's can effortlessly sync one song into another without missing a beat! Apparently literally! I was in college way back in the mid-to-late '70's and the college kids who were spinning the records (literally) at dorm room parties could do that so well! I have always wondered how they managed to do that! (And the point is that Kirstin didn't sneeze and her glitter survived intact!)

If you haven't ever watched their Sing Off live performances, I strongly recommend it. Listening to them in a live, rather unpolished format provides a great insight into their techno strengths. While I personally prefer the powerful vocal ranges that they show off in covers like Hallelujah, their ability to use their vocals for synth effects is just mind-blowing. Also, ditto to Marsha Grant's comment from a couple months ago. You really should list these as "analysis" rather than "reaction." I legit just spent over an hour watching your Pentatonix vids and explanations. Great work!

Ok...sry for the novel here. I'm an old school 70's recording engineer and I learned more about DJ ing than I've even known before by watching this vid. Thanks. I ended up going down the Pentatonix "rabbit hole" tonight and have watched at least 15 reaction videos to this track. Yours is the best BY FAR because you actually EXPLAIN what's going on. Feel - BPM - Pitch - the mastery of transition. Well done indeed! I'm not a club guy by any means, never will be. Like I said, 55 year old magnetic tape engineer with 30 years of experience and you have re-affirmed my faith in DJs that you actually understand what music is all about. They JUST released Trailer #1 for a video of their ORIGINAL "Happy".. or is it "Happy Now"? They performed it in concert during their world tour that was cut short by the virus and we were so hoping that they would release it!
