Are you everywhere? sukekiyo isn‘t connected to Dir en grey‘s latest album. Your taste is fine but if you need to lower another band‘s work, the praise will be worth nothing!
TIW wasn't underwhelming. Maybe the first half, but the second half and remakes quite made up for it. Seriously people need to comparing those two bands because even if kyo belongs to both, he isn't the primary composer of either one.
Whoops, didn't see that I had replies. I just don't see any point in hiding a negative opinion. It isn't an attack on you if you appreciate something that I don't, nor is it an attack on the band. I'm just expressing my feelings towards a particular sound. Perhaps I could choose better words to get that across, but those words would still express that: A. I'm a huge fan of kyo's work no matter what he's doing. B. My personal preference leans toward songs like the more moody and atompheric ones that Sukekiyo in particular is known for. C. The Insulated World didn't meet my hopes for a new Dir En Grey album, especially after how much I personally enjoyed and appreciated Arche. Sorry that it upsets some people. But like I said, my opinions are obviously an expression of my thoughts and not an attack on anyone, especially the music I love. Even if I think TIW wasn't great, I still think it was better than most of the music I hear. A solid 7 out of 10.

Not the first time I've noticed Takumi "reference" a classic piano piece in a Sukekiyo track. He's brilliant.

Both bands have the same singer, and with the releases being so close to each other, it's hard NOT to compare.
