- In this episode I am riding towards the Ecuadorian amazon, to a small town called Zamora and I'm checking out a local waterfall there. But on route, I stop in Zaruma, which is dubbed 'Ecuadors prettiest town'. The gold history of the place.. is not so pretty though..

Unlike other cross-country vloggers, you aren't just traveling from one country to another. You specifically explore a country you visit for your viewers' benefit. Thank you and be safe. 😊
Your choice of words is always on the positive note! Even when you describe the mess of cables you call it a piece of art! What an example to follow! Thanks Noraly!
Noraly, your Itchy Boots channel brought a lot of light into this otherwise not so bright 2021. Thank you so much for all your hard work behind the scenes and keep on travelling the world. I wish you and all the followers here all the best for 2022!
Hear, hear!!

So true!
@Thomas Bulla
Very nice comment!!
I wish you the Best!
I can onley agree.
She is a shining star fore many arounde the world.
THAT DOG!!!!!!!! Omygod insane madness!
Your drone flying skills equal your motorcycling prowess! The footage in the confined space at thw waterfall was stunning.
I took a lot of risk flying there and almost lost the drone 🙊😂
What drone do you use noraly?
I am always amazed of your drone filming skills Noraly! Professional is not enough to describe your skills!
Thank you Noraly for visiting Ecuador 🇪🇨.
Another year of Noraly's inspiration is behind us... but take heart, 2022 will bring even more! Can't wait to see all that she encounters in Central America!
Colombia !
@@dialogarconlahistoria8229 thats not central america ;)
@@JimMcBeam but she will pass by Colombia
It is nice to hear from a geologist about the history of the places during the journey
Another Noraly special. Geology, History. Tourism. Even some biology. You brought a smile to my face on this last day of 2021. Thank you.
I believe that was an attempt at biology .. 1 party had shorter legs lol

Yes as spoken here ...Noraly shows courage leads to a world beyond.
Noraly, you have brightened my year.
You are showing us parts of the world so close up, it’s like I’m watching over your shoulder.
Looking forward to more. Thank you.
All the best in 22.
Greetings from India🇮🇳. Wishing u a happy and prosperous New year🙏
Your Spanish is good, and always always gets you out of all situations. 😂😂Bravo 👏👏Noraly.
Still enjoying the posts in 2023.👍👍
People in Ecuador are right: Alaska is a great bike, despite having only 300cc.
Without a doubt, this Honda has been the right choice
Lighter bikes are actually always great. Maybe exception is for very long road trips (on tarmac). Heavy bikes are cool and all but just not very convenient for very long trips like this.
Consider… the XR650L is only 15 pounds (6.8k) heavier at 346 pounds full of fuel, has vastly more power - especially torque, it pulls hills like a tractor - and its well known proven rock solid simple design remains unchanged since 1993 for good reason.
The 650 can be lowered to the 300’s 35” seat height, and accessories (fuel tank, bars, shields, racks, etc) are also each well known, proven, and widely available for the 650.
650 availability in Europe is probably nonexistent, so that pretty much US buyer info.
Yeah power torque power torque LOL. Totally missed the point about being heavy.
The other reason for a small bike is the cost of fuel. Very few locals will have anything larger then a 250.
@@donniebunkerboi9975 as I said above, the XR650L is only 15 pounds heavier than the 300 Rally, which is pretty much nothing, so yea.. bring on the power and torque, especially for riding this kind of terrain loaded down with bags. There are many other subtle advantages for the big bore too; engine doesn’t have to rev as high or work as hard to reach/hold the same speed, nearly zero electronics in the 650 (just one board), stronger frame/suspension (especially the rear, the 300 is too soft for most people and bags), parts are cheap for the 650 and the knowledge base among owners is huge - every single weakness is known and was dealt with years ago, no radiator to damage, no cooling fan blowing hot air on your legs, no emissions system robbing power or clogging.. I could go on and on..
But again, the 650 option really only applies where its available (obviously) and I think Noraly picked the right bike for her home country registration and overall needs… just saying the 300 isnt the best Honda option for the US.
Awesome video, your one Brave Woman. The Fiesta Flash. 🤙🏼🥂
Thanks Noraly @itchyboots for bringing the world to all of us. As an Ecuadorian living in NLD I felt specially attracted to your aventures in this season. Next to the breathtaking footage and high-tech video editing, your approach towards discovering the world is simply beautiful. From staying at simple accommodations to honestly interacting with the locals, you showed the enriching experience of world travelling. Thanks for taking us in your journey.
Stay safe and keep rocking!!! 🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
Funny thing, I was watching Golden Earring videos on TH-cam. Knowing they were a Dutch band it made me think, I need to watch Itchy Boots new video. There you are, riding to the Amazon. From Dutch legend of the past to the Future of Miss Boots,
great entertainment on New Year's Eve. You're probably thinking who is Golden Earring, that is how old I am. I was 18 years old in 1973 rocking out to Golden Earring, now I am an old man riding along with Itchy Boots. That is a strange Dutch connection.
Thank you for some fun New years celebrations... Texas
Hola Noraly
"This is your last chance to swap!" SO funny. loved those guys. So interested in Noraly's world-traveling techniques. Maybe they will be inspired to try it. Waterfall was breathtaking!
The background information that you provide about the places you visit is another reason why I love your channel. I always come away with new knowledge. I appreciate you.
Your water-crossings are always exciting and full of suspense .. i love your can-do-attitude !!!
Wealth for the few, misery for the many.. as so often when it comes to gold and diamonds. Fortunately, there are those like you, Noraly, who share a wealth of natural beauty and adventures! I wish you, and all the fans here, a happy new year!

Thank you for a year of great videos in 2021. Here’s to many more safe travels for you and us all in 2022!! 🍾🎊🥳🍻
Both guys were thugs.
More of nice roads, riding, laughs and scenery. Thanx.
I guess Dutch people are really informed about Spanish history! Nice to hear about…..and glad to hear that America speaks Spanish and not Dutch…would pay a lot of gold only for this great language. 🇪🇸
You are such an awesome tour guide! Your memory.....Sheece!

Happy new year Noraly! Thank you for always bringing smiles to our faces and taking us with you in your rides. I look forward to being part of your journey next year, and years to come.
You remarked at the beginning about the overhead wires. Most people live in neighborhoods with overhead wires. I do in Fairfield, California, USA. However I grew up in what may be one of the first planned neighborhoods to have buried electrical and telephone wires, being in what was called Atherton Heights but now West Atherton, California. The neighborhood in hills of western Atherton was originally develioped in the middle 1930s, precisely in about 1936-37. Our house was constructed in 1941. At the time, being young and inexperienced with other residential neighborhoods, I did not appreciate the lack of overhead wires and telephone poles that most others must endure.
The weird-sounding bird looks like a grackle. Probably a velvet-fronted grackle (Lampropsar tanagrinus), because they live in Ecuador.
I was in Puyo in 2020 and heard the same sound and I couldn’t figure out what animal it was, finally I know hahaha
Noraly thank you for your inspiration................so enjoy your vids
Incas found gold and mined it to make mainly religious objects for worship, in the capita, Lima the made a huge 2 metre disc of gold called the" Face of Sun"(translation) that Spanish too and melted down.
That dog is the determination im going into 2022 with. Conquer anything no matter the size it is
Happy New Year Noraly, may your New Year be blessed with more dirt trails and mountain twisties and most of all doing all of it safely.
There is no way my classic 1975 Kawasaki Z1 900 could tackle the unpaved tracks. It does eat up the miles on the USA and Canadian and Mexican highway systems and improved graded roads. I have 130,000 miles on it and have rebuilt most systems and engine parts over the years. I'm 69 and bought it used for $1100 in 1977 when I was 25. It's a fabulous bike but you, Noraly, are the adventuress! Stay safe and happy traveling in the New Year🌷
Your videos, enthusiasm and smile are hypnotic. I find myself smiling with you. What a beautiful country Ecuador is, and its people Ditto.
From the first videos of India and Munnar etc, she has vastly improved her skills as vlog maker, added cameras for seamless videos। And she has also evolved to a very fine humble and modest person। 👍
The vlogs on South American travels are probably the best ones as tries to get her way through remote places and lifts her passion for geography।
It is not Munnar it is to be read Myanmar
Noraly has shown that, with courage, you can choose a different route in life from the majority. I guess this is why she is so popular, tapping into something many wish they could do but life has given them a different path. I hope I can take a little of her inspiration in the choices about how I live my life.
I don't know how she has the financial means to make her trips happen, and it really doesn't matter to me. She's happy doing it, and that's what's important.
But, whatever she does or doesn't do, works. Unfortunately, if it was as easy to travel like Noraly does, everyone would be doing it. It is not the case for most ordinary people.
I can't travel like this right now, but I hope that once I am able to.
@@HeathBlythe She financed herself by working and then decided to travel. She then started the TH-cam channel which as become very successful that it is now financing her otherwise I doubt we would be on season 6. Many people work hard in there early years then take a break to travel but normally have to return to work.
Well said 👍
@@HeathBlythe she initially sold belongings..also worked in Australia mining which pays well. That's how it kicked off and now makes very good money from u tube...could of gone wrong but lucky for us it worked 😎👍
with courage an money... unless you wanna go backpacking, but that takes even more courage...
Beautiful!! Cheers to more rides and views in 2022
Thanks for another great episode. I had no idea Ecuador was so beautiful. Thanks again.
Looks like you have a “few”(!?!) followers Noraly! Posted 8hrs ago and over 1k comments!!! How could you possibly read them all plus travel , edit, and sleep! 🤷🏻♂️. We really appreciate and enjoy how often you post new videos. We can’t get enough of your adventures. Can’t wait to see your adventures when you get into the USA. Stay safe. 🏍
Thank you Noraly for giving us the world. I've been following you since one of your first videos from India, and have never tired of the journey, whether in the Netherlands, Asia, or now, South America. Love it all. You have made our holiday!

I have fallen in love with your travels. The incredible beautiful places you go, your interactions with people, your struggles and victories are all so well captured. Sometimes I click on a video of yours without looking at the title and try to guess where in the world you are filming. I look forward to travelling with you in 2022. The geology, history and sociology links that you make are always fascinating and Alaska is clearly an "exotic" that the Ecuadorians motorcyclists love. Nice vid.

Happy new year Noraly, hope 2022 brings you many more adventure’s.
Noraly thank you for showing us this incredible scenery.
Happy New Year Noraly 🎉
Really appreciate and admire your hard work to show us your adventure
I can imagine long hours you spent, from planning the destinations and the route to take, finding interesting spots along the way, doing research and memorize all the facts about them, preparing logistics for you and your bike, taking the hard roads and tracks while filming it, making drone footages, narating on the spot without the luxury of reading script in comfortable rooms, and finally editing the videos superbly to be uploaded.
The results are always amazing, never betraying your hard work.
You're simply the best motovlogger by far Noraly
Thank you and wish you all the best in the years to come
Ah Noraly! Thank you for taking the time to capture all of your moments and adventures. I know how important it is for you as well as those who can not get out and do. You are an inspiration to so many humans and your smile brings joy to all that have found your Itchy Boots channel. Wishing you happy journeys to come in 2022.
"LETS GO" North to Alaska and hitting 1 million subs in 2022! Best wishes and continued safe travels for a Happy New Year Noraly. 🇨🇦
Just as Noraly completes the history of the gold mining and tragic losses of life, a large condor comes into view at 7:43 , as if on cue, coincidence. The Condor is a symbol of cleansing the karma. Powerful message from Spirit. Humanity has a long way to go, evolve.
What a giggle when getting Alaska ready to ride. Great explanation of a history that was not so golden. Love the helmet hair as a Noraly trade mark of adventure.
You are still making up for all the hiking with traveling by bike, but still hiked to the falls to show us the beauty of the area. I think you are really enjoying the extra fuel capacity of Alaska verses Savannah. Cannot wait for the finish of the ride to your destination and the possible surprises on your path. Take care and God bless you.

Wow, looks like your handling Alaska's stock tires/ suspension-shocks issue very well down the country roads. Happy New Year Noraly, much obliged for sharing your trip on the big YT.
1:57 that dogs ringing in the new year proper!!!!
Another very interesting ride; the town of Zamura (I hope I spell it well) is full of character, with colourful buildings and terraces and quite some people in the streets. I like it very much! The first view of the tropical forest is really amazing; to see that thick, green forest, covering hills and mountaintops, is just gorgious.
Dear Noraly, I wish you a nice New Year and a year 2022 full of adventure and happiness! Take care!
