After completing year one in part 147 amt. I want to start pivoting to incorporate avionics as a major notion before looking at jobs. This brought to light some things that are good to get down packed now.
Awesome, so glad this video was helpful!
Thank you so very much for this video and basically this whole series. I am trying to become an avionics technician. The only background I have is a short 3 month avionics training course (some hands on)but they did not offer any licenses even though it had good information- very similar to your presentations and I am thinking about taking the astm ncatt aet exam since I saw your video on becoming an avionics technician. Do you think this approach would get me through a door? Or is there more important knowledge/skills I should learn/practice that you might recommend before applying for jobs. I was just hoping I wouldn't have to go through another long training (a and p license process ). Truly once again great video and a tremendous thank you for all your help sir :)
Appreciate your kind words!
Based on your situation, I would suggest looking for entry-level avionics jobs and just apply to them. If the demand is high enough they will hire you.
I would suggest checking the job posting or company info to see if they would pay for you to get your A&P - that would be the best way to come out on top in your situation.
