Jason, your channel is my favorite Jeep channel. I was watching your videos before I bought my Jeep. You give so much insight, thanks for all you do. Keep it up!
The way you were explaining the painting process, felt like a Bob Ross show. 🤣🤣 Good video though, I learned things. I definitely need to do some touch up on my JK. Thanks man!!
AutoEdits ... You deserve the best brother. Your content helps so many of us Driveway Mechanics as well as an awesome source of entertainment. Keep it up!👍🏽
Thanks for the info on an alternative for touchup paint! I've been looking for alternatives to OEM and dupont for a while. This is perfect. Just ordered my own little kit. Thanks!!!
Great video and just in time. I need to take round with a touch-up pen on my car before I sell it. Important to keeping up the appearance to the end :) The link was great.
You are sooooo much better at touch up work then I am....I have tried the pens and completely wasted my money because I did not have the knowledge of the dab...🤷🤷
LOL! I tried to go past the "dab" on the larger scratches on the front of the Tesla and it looked poor to me so I'm anxious to get it sprayed! The solid colors are so much easier as well.
Hello @AutoEdits I am looking for the pen to match my model 3 sport wheels. I see this option with the pen NEU102E, PMSS Starlight Silver Metallic. Should I chose NEU102E or PMSS?
Ok, I gotta get one of these. The rear hinges on my Jeep are super chipped from the front tires throwing rocks into them. Even if its not perfect, its better than bare metal.
Great video, I was wondering what you would recommend for additional protection for a new set of polished aluminum beadlocks wheels for my Jeep. I don't have them mounted yet and wanted to seeing if there was anything additional I should do to keep them shinny!
I was hoping for the PINTO discount code; because, I want to color match my JL's Tire Carrier and Hinge Reinforcement. Sadly though, my Punkin Orange color isn't available yet; but, I do see to call them to find out when it's available. Also, I want to get the spray can as well as the paint pen. Are those the same $7000 per wheel ENGINEERING EXPLAINED went thru the trouble to get?
These wheels are the same performance package wheels but they aren't $7k His bill was expensive because he bent 2 wheels and ruined 2 tires and needed some other suspension fixes. They are expensive though and we did already ruin a tire on a pothole.
Well Jason, I bought a Jeep had it for about 6 months then sold it. It's just not my thing. I like the idea but I just couldn't get into it. Won't stop me from watching your videos though.
@@AutoEdits My family and I took a jeep tour in Sedona AZ and really enjoyed it but it turns out we're not jeep people. Personally, I prefer speed on asphalt to slow on dirt. It went to a young guy that loves jeeps though.
Why do you have a Tesla? Why do you have a Tesla? Why?... we're losing you man! you're going to the dark side!... ok! redeem yourself and drop a Hemi in that Tesla Jason!
The Tesla is an amazing vehicle. Embracing that technology now will let us enjoy our muscle cars and Jeeps way longer... now about that hemi... The Jeep needs that in a big way!
Wow that wheel looked as good as new. I've never seen anyone do a touch up paint on a wheel before. Thank you sir.
Hey, thank you for being here and taking part in this and helping me along!
If these wheels cost $7000 each, I would totally understand touching them up.

Great content as usual Jason. It’s awesome to see your doing well and keeping busy during these crazy times.
I appreciate this... I'm hanging in there. Have it better than I deserve for sure. Hope you are well and glad you are here!

Hope you and your family are staying safe out there with all these fires. Be safe! Another great, informative video!
Thank you! Yes, we're safe here just smokey.
I bought some color match paint/clear coat pens from my dealer and paid just over $40, they have definitely came in handy.
For sure.

HA! Awesome to hear! Yeah it's a great resource... I stocked up and am ready for some more finish fun soon!

Right on!
This video is saving my life 😅 thanks bro 😎
HA!!! Glad to help! I still like those pens.
Thanks for sharing Jason. I did the same damage to my wife's Audi TTS wheels and will try this repair on it.
It really did make a huge difference!
@@AutoEdits I look forward to your spray out video! My Jeep needs a lot of repair coverage.
Another great video as always!
Thank you! Cheers!
Another great educational video. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it and I'm stoked to get the comment! Thank you!

AutoEdits lol...the dab...love it!! White is such a hard color to blend. The success you had was pro level to my experience.
@@AutoEdits still looks better than the original! But I hear ya
Makes me want to go fix the rock chip in the Taurus now.
Ha! Sorry not Sorry... LOL
Nice job.
Side note. I need to order some more Tool Box Buddy.
Thanks! I get a little anxious when my stash gets down to 2 cans...LOL

Hey there... just checked my invoice and I ordered the PMSS and it worked as shown!
Ok, I gotta get one of these. The rear hinges on my Jeep are super chipped from the front tires throwing rocks into them. Even if its not perfect, its better than bare metal.
When I run the stock doors... that is exactly what I use the pens for most and this company got the color so much closer than my other pens!
@@AutoEdits Curious to see how close it is with my Jeep being such a bright color
True... pretty sure they use a computer code to do the mix and I think they nailed it here... so I have confidence! LOL

Thanks! I just use the Lucas oil speed wax on my wheels and it works really good. There's a link to them on my amazon store in the description.

Good job

Hi Jason - could you advise which touch up paint to get for Model Y 20inch black induction wheels? Thanks.
If you don’t mind me asking, what wheels do you have on your Jeep? :)
I don't mind at all... I love these things... They are the Vision Manx 398 Beadlocks. Here's the video th-cam.com/video/VIQOF6n1-bg/w-d-xo.html
I like your jeep sir
Me too... thanks!

Interesting! Are you into off road at all or no more dirt as well or just no more Jeep? I'm glad you're still around!

Give the touch up company a quick email.

Wow... so close... almost a virtual tie!!! Thank you for the shout!

Boy that was close and you got it by 6 seconds!
To my luck - www.automotivetouchup.com/paintpen.aspx doesn't have the Ignition Orange color match option for my Ram.
That's a bummer!
I could have used it, took off the fender flares and there was a few chips.
