Being somebody who's lived with an severely autistic person. Especially a non-verbal autistic person. It's scary because they can't tell you when they don't feel good, hurting or anything else that bothers them. You have to alway watch them and notice changes in their behavior, to know if there is a problem. So i understand how this mom feels. At least the child was in a safe place.
She said there have been more than one incidents, with these changing drivers. When as a parent does she step in and idk maybe drive her own child to school? Maybe wait till the girls missing?
As a mother of an 8 year old autistic boy, the rage and fear I hold just hearing that let alone going through it..I could only imagine what thosr parents are feeling.
Yeah, you sound like a great mother alright...gonna get rage because someone else took care of YOUR kid wrong... how bout YOU take care of your kid and don’t rely on the govt and taxpayers to do so...
So wait, issues have happen more than once, and the Mother allows this. She is as much to blame for this. How about driving your child to school? Will this incident be the final straw, or will she drop off her responsibility as her child protector, onto the school again. Smh #Accountability
I do not see one thing that bus driver done wrong !! They are a substitute and is very difficult for them to be doing that route that they do not know !! I do believe this parent is taking this way too far !! If they can't understand that then they should understand the condition of their child !! And yet they can't stand up to responsibility of doing it themselves or face the fact that sometimes mishaps happen !! The driver done their job very well to see to it that the child got to school property maybe the wrong one but it was still school property !!

Protocal is a Staff member is to be present at the bus when any Special Needs Student is released off the bus. Scary SMH
