I agree with you Chuck, the cheap cordless ones are probably the best bet for stripping magnet wire. I have multiple rotary tools, including a couple of Dremel name brand ones that are corded, the harbor freight Bauer cordless one which is really nice and heavy duty, but it’s like 50 bucks, It works great though. I think the bigger corded ones are almost too powerful and you risk damaging the magnet wire, even when you turn it down, if someone is really cheap,, and they don’t mind the cord, Harbor freight currently has their cheapest one on sale for like seven dollars. It’s great for stripping magnet wire but it’s not really powerful enough to do anything else.

I think a brush like the ones used to clean the outside of copper pipe but scaled down to a diameter that would work on wire on the end of that tool would be perfect.
