  • This is the first unboxing video I've ever done. Hopefully you guys enjoy!
    I have the entirety of my cube in a single link which has already integrated sections and you can even draft it Commander Legends style or with the style I explained in the first episode of this mini series. Here's the link to my commander cube:

      Awesome! Glad it was helpful! I can't recommend this thing enough for large cubes (like mine).

    Merieke and Mirrorhall Mimic would probably be my first picks! I'd try to draft some theft/clone nonsense if I could.
    Aside from that, the Cubamajigs and Podamajig look sweet! I was thinking about ordering some for an interesting Christmas present to construct my own booster packs to hand out.

      Cool picks! Thievery and copying are two of the main archetypes in the cube. It's essentially like drafting your opponents' best creatures ;)
      They definitely look amazing and handle amazing, too. You do have to get used to the flaps though, since they require finesse to open. They also have many more designs for Series 2 but these were the 5 I liked most.

    Excited to receive my cubeamajig, but it's taking a long while to ship to the UK!
    Great video, you've given me a few new ideas for additions to my cube

      It sucks that you still have to wait for it - hopefully it arrives soon! I know I was super anxious waiting for mine since it had already gotten delayed by a year anyways...
      Awesome! Glad the video was helpful :)

    The hard gumpacks are great packs for a cube😊

      I've never heard of those. What are they?

    Do Boulder deck boxes fit in the podamajig? Looking for a way to store/carry all my EDH decks, and the podamajigs look gorgeous.

      I'm unsure if boulder deck boxes fit in it. BUT, you should be able to fit 9 sleeved commander decks in it.

    How did you build a commander cube? Me and my buddies who play cards are only a pod of 3, and i really want to make a Cube

      While I have an entire mini-series on the channel dedicated to Commander Cube (there was probably a link to that playlist at the end of this video), this video is a good starting point:
      th-cam.com/video/tcLjIaKsDCA/w-d-xo.html
      It's not the first video in the mini-series (of which I have a playlist for) but it's how I currently seed my commander cube's packs.
      The other videos in the mini-series talk about including other interesting cards like those that work during the draft itself, conspiracies and heroes, banned cards, parasitic mechanics like partner with, etc.
      I think you will find those videos quite helpful since I have been working on this for over 6 years. My current cube is the result of that. To the point where if you look at the stats of the real life version of my cube (the one I have in paper), it even has the ideal bell-shaped curve for its mana curve.
      I also have a channel on my Discord server dedicated solely to commander cube, if you're interested in joining my Discord server as well.

    Volrath and the librarian would be my picks

      Good picks! Librarian is definitely a fun pick since it can let you pick additional cards from future packs :P

      It's a TON of work but SO rewarding! Especially when you hit that sweet spot.

    Got my pod and finishing up my cards. Last is just the sleeves and perfecting how I want to sort my cards. Do you have any tips on the best way to blend removal and card advantage within a cube?

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! Glad you got your podamajig as well!
      I kind of already answered this question in your previous comment, so I'll just copy/paste it here just in case.
      Booster packs aren't seeded per function anyways. I seed them per color because that provides balance. However, if you scale the probabilities from a 100-card deck to a 1,000-card cube, the ratios should be the same.
      For example, if you run 12 card draw effects in your 100-card commander cube, then you should have 120 card draw effects in a 1,000 commander cube. So you should try and keep the percentages.
      Again, I don't feel like boosters should be seeded by function. That being said, you should make sure there's enough per color in the cube. For example, in my cube, every monocolor (and even colorless) color identity has mana acceleration, interaction, and card advantage. Therefore, deck construction should rely on the drafter's skill in pick consideration than in the cube curator's pack seeding (if that makes sense).
      When someone's drafting a commander cube, they have to make the conscious decision to pick any mana acceleration, interaction, card advantage, bombs, etc. they see come by in order to effectively build their deck. This should come naturally and it shouldn't be forced.

    All of this should of been designed for double sleeved.

    • @MATTA74
      @MATTA74 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      How many cards will these hold being doubled sleeved?

    • @TheCommanderTavern
      @TheCommanderTavern  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@MATTA74 They fit double-sleeved if you put 15 (I believe). But 20 single-sleeved is the maximum amount that fit in the packs.
