This was the first year I saw the Blue Devils, and my son's first year in C Corps. I was amazed by the organization and the performance of A Corps. Being a fan of Don Ellis this remains one of my favorite BD shows.
@@Daveinbrewtown definitely. I marched a 32" as a teenager in highschool. Was challenging but cool to have bragging rights as most bottom basses were 28-30". My back appreciates it, 30 years later.
Awesome video clips... bringing back great memories. Fantastic group of such talented musicians to play with!! Thank you for this post. -Scott Rankin

Fantastic! Epic hornline
Thank you for posting this.
The fifth base harness I know how to have been painful. The end of that harness looks like it was digging into that man's shoulders
Is bass 4 30"? And bass 5 36"? That thing was legendary.
That is BOB on #5 and yep it was a 36". Along with Mike from VK and Duke at Spirit of Atlanta in 92
Challenging view marching straight ahead

Cool I’ve never tried that
#Bucketlist
I bet I’d crash into other band members
Must be the family of Johnny Utah!
5:52 good ole Rog aka Roger Cater and 6:00 George Collins
I liked the ending of their stand still vs the finals ending.
