      I also got a Sport Glide and looking to get these tires.
      @bikeparts365 & @albertperez2743 - How much mileage did you get of them?

    I have a Fat Boy 114, and it came with Radial tires, and I have only ever used radial tires.

    Hi. I’ve done about 20k miles on my 2010 Road King here in Portugal. Just me, no baggage, rarely faster than 60mph but total curves, rarely in a straight line but……. only ever get 5k max out of Dunlops and get this, main dealer now want €1,150 for a new pair of white walls!! (Exchange rate equal to $).
    Tires are expensive here and have just gone up 50%. Have been offered these Cruisetech all black for about €550.
    Just hoping they last longer. 10k would be great cause twice the mileage means half the price.
    Cheers.

    I put one on the front. Couldnt believe how smooth it fell into a corner. In a good way. Just wasn’t ready for it.

    Great video brother. I subscribed just to make you an even 500 subs...lol
    I got Cruistec for my Honda CMX1100 and love it. A little more expensive than usual but worth it I think.

    I just came from the bike shop after purchasing this tire. (240-40-18) for my ‘07 V-ROD. All the reviews I read said this tire is great. I’ll know in a couple days!

      BikeParts365 The front tire was fairly new when I bought the bike a couple months ago, but if I like the rear one I will be switching it out for sure.

      BikeParts365 Just got home from picking my bike up with my new Cruistec on the ass. Huge difference in handling. Before you had to put a little extra weight into a turn and to swerve back and forth. Not anymore! As soon as I started riding I noticed how much easier it was to lean and turn. I barely have to move and she goes. I have a 240 rear and a 120 front and feels like the tires are the same width. I will definitely be replacing the front with a Cruisetec also!

      VROD TALES Good info. Any updates after 6 months?

    • @roadkingtales
      @roadkingtales 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@2old4allthis Yes, I’m at just over 4500 miles on the tire and it’s just hitting the yellow mark on my tire gauge. Still handles like it did on day 1, but I don’t see me getting another couple thousand miles out of it. I have a Michelin Commander 2 on the front with over 8,000 miles on it and it’s not in the yellow yet. So as much as I like the performance of this tire, I like getting more miles for my money. So I will be switching to Michelin most likely when this tire is up. If you only ride a couple thousand miles a year and like a good handling ride than this is a great tire. I’ve already done 7,000 miles this year and am not done so I’ll suffer performance over mileage. Hope this answers your question.

      @@cecet5534 👍👍 They are a great tire, lots of twisty miles on mine, my floorboards are about ground down to a nub, these cruisetecs really let you use all your lean angle

    How many miles do you think one can get on a cruisetec? I put one on the rear of my road glide about a year and a half ago. Just drove a screw through it. Replacing with another cruisetec. Hoping for 10-12k miles.

    • @bikeparts3653
      @bikeparts3653  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Jamie Roberts they say you should get about the same as the oe tire so I’d put you about 15k-20k so long as you keep an eye on tire pressure! Safe travels

      Grip is way more important than mileage. Think about it, what good is a high mileage tire with less grip when you’re not alive to wear them out?

    My sportster has the Michelin Scorcher 31 as the stock tyre. Would the Metzeller Cruisetec or ME 888 Ultra be a better choice over the Michelin Scorcher 31 ? I am looking for mileage as well as grip in wet conditions.

    @bikeparts365: Cruisetec or Commander 3 for a 14XL883N?

    • @bikeparts3653
      @bikeparts3653  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      If you ride in the rain a significant amount id recommend the comm3. If you want lots of miles I’d recommend the comm3. For me personally, my bikes aren’t my main mode of transport so i ride when it’s nice. Also I want grip more than miles. That’s why I run the cruisetec.

    The tyre is biggest garbage ever maded from Metzeler.
    Ill take these tyre at recomended for better tyre then MARATHON...
    After mounting tyre on my Electra glide ultra ill been shocked tyre sliding at anny low speed..
    Factory pressure at 2.8 bar cant be used.
    Aftet ill drop pressure at..
