Here in your video, I see the problem I am having with my 18' Street Triple R in the US market here. They do not include the proper friction ring, which is why I cannot tighten my mirrors enough. I have this "Alternative Design" friction ring, which judging by your video, is not slotted to fit on the bar end you and I both have. I called Triumph USA who told me that these bar end mirrors are not for sale in the US? WTF? This is the second time I have purchased these bar end mirrors and after seeing my same bike at the dealer showroom which is for sale, with these same bar end mirrors, I'm wondering how they mounted them? Perhaps the dealership where he got these bar end mirrors from, had that same friction ring you have. What happens is when I begin to torque down on the mirror bolt, it still slips. Very frustrating that Triumph does not make an easier mounting system for the US market, which begs me to wonder, why is there a difference at all?-frustrating
That is strange. Considering they are the RS mirrors and I'm sure I've seen people in the US with those mirrors. If you have any trouble, shoot me a message on Instagram, and I'll see if I can ship you some from here.
@@onecolektiv Okay thanks, I'm going to bring it to the dealer to see if perhaps they have that same friction ring you have. I heard you say you bought the bar end mirrors for the Speed Triple though?
@@onecolektiv Thanks for all the help! Triumph USA said that perhaps our wonderful Ambulance chasing DOT here in the US, refused to okay this bar end mirror and thus that is why they do not support it here in the US. If so, then how could the dealership order this? Crazy stuff. I just went through the same thing with aftermarket grips. I ended up going with the stock Triumph grips, due to their plastic mounting sleeves with raised grooves, designed for Triumph only accessories. Ughhh!!
Nothing but brute force. I bent my tool doing it. But if you're struggling, get a tube to slide over the torx bit and make it longer so you have more leverage.
Hi, any idea if it also fits the stock handle bars of the street triples 675 from 2013-2016? Are the handlebars the same dimension as the newer street triples?
@@chesterlim15 im interested in this too, i want bar ends for my ST3 R 2015 model but by the looks of this video it wont work coz i have the caps on my handlebar like what onecoletiv bought.
I got them from my local triumph dealership. The part number is in the description, so just take that to your local triumph dealership and they'll sort you out.
No i haven't seen it yet. My second bike is a 2019 Triumph Street Triple S. I have plenty of videos on that, including a review if you want to check it out.
Hey were did you get the seat cowl from ?
Got it from my local Triumph dealership. Part number is in the description.
Do you have the link for the fillers?
To cover up the holes where the original mirrors are :)

Did you use anything to help remove the stock mirrors? the loctite is vicious and I can't get them off

Do you know if there are there any legal requirements for bar end mirrors? How far they can stick out etc..
Not sure at all. I wouldn't imagine so, considering bikes are thinner than a car.

I'm not sure. I don't know too much about the older ones.
onecolektiv no worries, thanks for the reply

@@onecolektiv Alright thank you so much!
No problem. 👍
Do you have the part number for the friction ring and the end caps?
Sure mate. The part number for the friction ring is T2060499 you'll need 2 of them. Bar end finishers are T2042476 they come as a pair.
@@onecolektiv Hey mate, thanks for the video. Are the part numbers above Genuine Triumph parts?
Yes they are genuine triumph. But they are RS parts but obviously bolts straight up.
@@onecolektiv Thanks mate.
Hi, I posted the “CB300R TomTom” video. Did you see. It? So since you own. The CB300R what would you recommend as a second sports bike?
No i haven't seen it yet. My second bike is a 2019 Triumph Street Triple S. I have plenty of videos on that, including a review if you want to check it out.
Can't remove the original mirror.... Looks like it need a special tool...
Needs a torx tool. I'm pretty sure I say in the video what size you need.
