    Early in 2004, an opportunity presented itself that would forever change the direction of my life and the culture of an entire community. I would sit at a bus stop day after day trying to catch an RTS bus to campus and this bus would pass me by with the words FULL BUS displayed across the top. This opportunity merged with a drop shipping and importing opportunity with one of my best college friends and ultimately led to the creation of New Scooters 4 Less in March of 2004. 14 years later, New Scooters 4 Less (NS4L) is one of the largest scooter dealerships in the United States and continues to break its own records and the sales records for some of the top scooter distributors in the country. NS4L has provided jobs to tons of amazing people, reached millions of dollars in revenue, sold thousands of scooters, and has serviced thousands more.
    NS4L has become well known within the business community for it’s unique, eccentric, and innovative culture developed around a single core value: Create and recreate the Ultimate Customer Experience, or UCE.
    Since the birth of NS4L, the University of Florida and the Gainesville Community have forever been changed.
    Our vision is to be the most trusted, go-to scooter dealership in existence and to revolutionize the entire scooter industry through our core values, innovation, and by creating that ultimate customer experience. We want to make Gainesville, FL the scooter capital of the world!
    Over the years, New Scooters 4 Less has been recognized with several community awards including Purpose 20 Award (2015), Impact Award (Collin, 2015), Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year (2015), and many national awards including Gator 100 (2015), Top 3 Dealer for Bintelli Scooters (2014, 2015), Number 1 Southern Dealership for Bintelli Scooters (2016), Top 5 Dealer for Wolf Brand Scooters (2017), Top Ten Dealer for Genuine Scooter Company (2015, 2016), and Number One Dealer in the Country for Genuine Scooter Company (2017).

    Just strapped down my first scooter Vespa et2 50
    Did it the same way you are around the grips and guess what the grip started to slide off the handle bar lucky I noticed it right away.
    Ended up putting cross straps on front as well 4 straps @ front one at rear through rack to other side.

      Great catch! Glad you noticed it. We rarely see this happen, but it's definitely possible. Crossing the straps on the front can prevent this, BUT make sure that the metal pieces on the strap aren't rubbing the paint! We see a lot of scoots get scratched that way. Thanks for the note!

    Sorry to be a killjoy, I appreciate the video, but some major, major things wrong here:
    1. Center stand will bend under load. Especially Hondas, the best scooters made, you don't want them to travel with the center stand down, it will bend on bumps. Then straps come loose, so loose scooter falling over and bent center stand. Not good.
    2. Attaching to grips - With your angle of attack, you're fine, but most people don't have that trailer with the hooks straight ahead. They will be coming from a 45 degree angle,and the grips can easily slide. Loose scoot falling over.
    3. Attaching to the luggage rack - luggage racks are rarely rated for over 10 lbs. You are going to need way more than 10 lbs of pressure on those straps. You can bend/break the rack, then loose scoot falling over.
    4. Pull straps vs rachet - you need the ratchet, those cheap pull straps easily come loose, it's why they cost half or a quarter of what ratchet straps cost.
    Again, sorry to be a downer, but this video is all kinds of wrong.

      Thanks for the comment. I won't debate with you, because much of what you say makes sense, but I will just note the following... there are 100 ways to skin a cat. Been doing it this way for over a decade and haven't experienced these issues. Thank you.

    • @NewScooters4Less
      @NewScooters4Less  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Roy! Do you have a flatbed trailer? This is what we use when we have to haul one. The process of strapping it down is very similar, but we just strap it down in a flatbed trailer instead of the bed of a truck. Thanks!

      @@roywalls5595 You don't have to put it in backward. We don't. Just make sure the steering is locked, the emergency lock is on, and it is strapped down extremely well.

  • @whatthe2458

    Would you still leave it up on the stand in the trailer if you were going on the highway for a couple hours or would it be best to just leave it on two wheels?

    • @NewScooters4Less
      @NewScooters4Less  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      What the We’ve totally left it in the center stand before but it’s not necessary. With the shocks compressed forward and equally balanced left and right, you don’t need to have it on the stand. I would strap the rear rack for extra stability too.

    Those straps are swap bro you really need ratchet straps so nothing gets loose during your ride but otherwise you did good just get better straps is all

    • @NewScooters4Less
      @NewScooters4Less  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      These straps are quick and easy and great for our short straps. Ratchet straps would be better for something longer distance. Most of our stuff is quick in-town trips, so these work great. Thanks for the suggestion!
