I've just ordered a used 70D. They are incredibly cheap here in The U.K. now. I like to make short talking-head TH-cam videos (for which I've previously used a Nikon D810 and Canon 5D3 in 1080P/24fps.) They worked well, but neither have the dual pixel autofocus or convenient flippy screen so up until how I just turned off AF, used f5.6-f8, and pre-focused where my eyes were going to be. I'm looking forward to using the 70D with my 17-40 f4L. I think 20MP APSC will be plenty good enough for TH-cam - but the proof of the pudding will be in the eating. 😊
Hello, I'm trying to start a video podcast using 4 cannon 80D cameras. I need a recommendation for two camera lenses that are no more than 300 dollars and has auto focus, if such a thing exists. The first lens will only be used to cover all 3 subjects while they speak so this should be a wide angle lens. And the other 3 lenses will be used as up close shots to really dial into that particular talent while they are speaking. I don't care about the construction quality ie, "plastic vs metal" as long as the lenses are capable of capturing the maximum video quality allowed by the cannon 80D. I hope this all makes sense as my knowledge of cameras is extremely limited. Any help will be appreciated! Thank you!
I seen a couple of AF issues in this video... regardless great video !
Ya, there were some issues! Glad you liked the video.
some issues? do you have eyes?
This video looks like filmed with smartphone but not with DSLR. 😁
@@Sunstepa are there any cameras you know of that make videos look like they were filmed with dslr rather than phone???

Yes, I’m excited for you to get it. Great camera!
Isn't the progression to the Canon 90D?
Yes, that’s correct. The 90D is fantastic.

The 50mm f/1.4 lens is amazing and is $350. Perhaps you can find a refurbished lens for a discount.
