Cool axe, something a bit different from the normal. I dig the double bit. Awesome video and review. Outstanding throwing as well, Wes! I look forward to seeing more. Thanks!!
@@MidgardAxe I have 16 various axes and tomahawks. Plus the Cold Steel Pole Axe and Dan Axe. I do have almost two walls of knives though. Which I've shown in one of my TH-cam videos :)
Okay, I ordered one, it will be here on Sunday. Now what did you mean by grinding down the cheeks? Plus, what did you use for a new handle? Oh, and what angle should I sharpen the axe at?
Can I bring my collection of Tomahawks to your house and play? :) Also I'm still working on the Frankish Throwing axe I got off of Amazon. Unfortunately Windless Steelcraft, makes a good product, they just do not sharpen them well, or at all. Just need to use the 80 grit belt on my Ken Onion Belt grinder, to start a good edge. Stay safe.
Come on over! Let’s do it! Thanks for the info on the Windless. I have one from Condor coming that someone asked me to review. But it won’t be the only Frankish axe I’ll do.
Good looking axe. I might get a pair myself. I don't care for pins in my axes. Cold Steel does the same thing and I toss the pins as soon as I start working on them. I think the holes take away from the looks of the axes and it just shows these companies need to learn how to hang the heads. 1065 is a decent axe steel, I really like the simple 10X steels for knives, axes and swords if its tempered and heat treated well.
Exactly. I couldn’t agree more with ya! Yeah the cold steel Viking has that weird set screw in the back too. And I’ve noticed it’s been with a lot of friction fit handles recently. Which defeats the purpose because it’s suppose to be able to be taking down. Why not just haft it at that point! But yeah you’re right!
Let's go!!!
Fn love it! Hey Dave!
Haha I did too!
Awesome brotha! Solid review! Great throwing! Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching and commenting! Glad you enjoyed it!
