    when you guys do supinate bicep dumbell curls for purely aesthetic reasons, do you amrap? and mike, do you use tanning spray and whats your fav posing trunks?

    I like AMRAPs, sometimes you can do a lot more than you thought possible.

    I find AMRAP can be useful when it's capped at certain REP Lower than 10 or more combined with RPE . I think for intermediate lifters it help gauge there's maxes if it's implemented every 5th week or so. In the end it's a tool we should implement with good strategy so it doesn't cause you more fatigue and bleed in to your next block.

    It seems like the answer to every training question is "maybe, it depends" and I think thats ok. As long as you can justify an exercise or its associated volume and its driving progress then there really is no harm.

      Grave Flower it’s also important to pay attention to the response. If you only justify the decision but don’t follow up with tracking the response, then you could miss valuable information for future training decisions.

    Alot of bodybuilders train with amraps all the time. Like every set. They get pretty good hypertrophy. U r right, we have moved away from them in powerlifting but i think they have a place. Great vid. Cheers

      Reactive Training Systems I use them mainly as a test of progress. I do them at the start of every block and use that number to program my working sets for that block. Then re-test at the end of the block to see the progress. Apart from that i stay clear of them. I just think they are tough to recover from. I tend to favour training frequency over individual session volume. What do u think? Is this a good idea?

    Weighted Dips and Rdls are the best amrap exercices imo

      Ultra OHP is pretty fun too for AMRAP work

      @@scottwilson4798 it can be, but I feel you dont get much to push with once shoulders give out. It's pretty easy to hit a wall quick doing them for high reps

      Could be genetics , could be not enough testosterone . Stop watching reality tv shows , that would be my number one tip to raise testosterone .

      diesel828 objectively, the music is quieter. Though it’s apparent that a few people are finding this to be still a bit loud. That’s fair. Thank you for watching and noticing what we can continue to improve for future videos so we can better communicate our thoughts about training tactics, coaching and powerlifting.

    What is the point of doing a front squat good morning. I don't want to be disrespectful, but I think that FS are used to develop quad strength. The way Mike does them he uses his posterior chain a lot more cause of the forward lean. Why not do LB squats then?

      I'm doing FSQ for it's own sake, so I'm just trying to move weight. It's not a back squat assistance movement for me because I'm not back squatting right now.
