Just report this. This is a double violation against the sporting code. 1) It's intentional wrecking and 2) he is tanking his iRating. We don't want such drivers on the service.

I'm really surprised that somebody is foolish enough to say they rammed somebody because they were called something. No matter what they call you, it's not justification for ramming them. Wth talk about not understanding what sportsmanship is.
Intentionally dropping iRating and intentionally wrecking. That surely needs to be a perma ban.
The weird thing is he's been on iRacing since 2015, maintained his A license since he got it doing hundreds of races. A typical clean racer looking at the stats. Then all of a sudden in July this year he lost his mind, tanked his iRating, wrecked the leader. The good news is he's not been racing since.
There's no permanent ban on Iracing unfortunately. They rather keep getting the subscription money from the person
The first part looked like he might've tried to cut back onto the racing line and didn't realise he hadn't cleared you yet. The second part was absolutely deliberate though and absolutely needs reporting.
I agree. The first part was a racing incident…the other guy swerved right and Ollie swerved left. But the second part was uncalled for.

Checking his profile, he has entered but not raced in MANY races this past few days alone without even starting...Clear tank of iRating for the 24hr, get him a full on ban so he cant enter.
This SCREAMS someone trying to tank their iRating before Spa24 but trying badly to not make it obvious. If not that then maybe someone let their kid play for the season. Either way protest that so he can take a vacation.
What he did was very wrong, but why would he tank his irating to 300 though? He has the pace to beat 4k drivers

He came through the crash at the start so i would of assumed that would of been the best time to tank iRating? he seemed to slow down and drive through the massive wreck. He lost his composure after the slight turn in when ollie hadnt seen him coming and was driving on the racing line and then poor driving to put both of them in the wall. Which id assume he thought was Ollie's fault, hence the intentional hit after and the use the mirrors reply to Ollie. Id say it was more of a rage moment. But it is odd that he was 4K not long ago.

No way that account could maintain a 3.1 A license if that were the case.
The same guy was caught in 4k on Pablo's TeamFordzilla stream earlier today trying to interntionally wreck someone else after an accident earlier in the lap. He's going to be getting a nice long holiday for sure. Also they're definitely tanking their iR, no question.
That crash at the start behind you felt very similar to the 1998 Belgium GP which nearly the whole field were involved.

We won the Monza 24hour last weekend, and the car that we were battling for first for over 5 hours, had someone with 0 iRating on a 2nd account, he lost 700 iRating in the last 2 weeks beforehand. His main account was 2.7k. He started races, but never turned a lap. The whole lobby of over 30 cars were against them, and turned towards us to beat them for the win. One car netcoded into them, and ended up wrecking them out of the race for the win. Let's just say that he probably received a report from every single person in the lobby.
It's quite embarrassing people trying to do it.

Marijn took me out a couple of weeks back. Also just before a big race. I dont know whats wrong with this guy but apperently its his driving style and iracing should do something about it. So next time watch out with him
My friends came across a dude using a tanked smurf account in the Monza 24 Hour race on the weekend. The dude was 2.7k on his main account and started a smurf account 4 days before the race, got the SR to where he was eligible then tanked the iRating all the way to 0 so he and his 2 teammates (both above 3k) could get the easy win in the lower split. However, they managed to piss off the entire server and it was made sure they didn't win, but my mates got the win.
funny story about Jiong (guy that got mad at first wreck) we were racing the nord in the gr86 and I got a crazy good run out of bergwerk and i went to go around him to the right, he blocked, i went left, he blocked again so I rear ended him and he got mad... this was lap 1 I think. FInally on lap 4 going down the dottinger I team up with another driver and make a double pass on him, he actually almost wrecks the guy pushing me and immediately gets on the radio to yell at him haha some people just can't stand losing and will do anything to stay ahead
This is why I mute voice chat during the race. On the grid and after the race cool have a chat with people, during the race it's mostly just people calling one another dickheads and it's an unnecessary distraction.
@@mc483 i have learned to not say anything until I can look at the replay unless it is completely clear intent. Even in this instance when he did it I didn't say anything until the end. I can be toxic so do leave it unmuted to hear other people argue hahaha ovals are the best because you get 3-4 pace laps of people just yelling

i had the exact same guy wreck me but he got into top split because the lmp2 sof was so low, very similar incident and the exact same response out of him. very odd indeed
We call it a sim but races like this remind us its a game.
So the odd thing here, is how he's been deliberately tanking his irating (i assume to qualify in a split for Spa 24 that his team would win) and then do something that would draw attention. Maybe he doesn't realize that tanking your irating is a bannable offence? Either way, not a particularly smart set of decisions going on there.

I remember Spa '98, that was in torrential conditions so, understandable. That at the start was avoidable. With regards to your incident, that's surely a slam-duck. Awful driver behaviour from that chap and you took it very well.
I'm going with kid got on parents account, and wasn't supervised at all. I run into this with ACC where a lot of kids just get on, wreck everyone, and scream into their headsets when they get kicked out of the race.
Yeah. That was my initial instict as well. But that parent's going to be in for a shock when he or she returns from their hiatus.
If you look at his races on July 8, he registered for 8 races and didn't get behind the wheel for any of them. Behaviour is too suspicious for this theory.
Hello ! Multi class racing, he expected to be allowed to pass clearly on the right, then that door closed, so he went left, then he let that little twitch to the left trigger him into retaliation.
If you can't handle some close calls when lapping in multiclass races, don't take part in multiclass races.
Also, if you can’t drive safely around other cars, don’t race in multi-class races.

@@wolfe1970 Ollie was on the racing line, Ollie does originally hesitate as the LMP2 stays on the racing line then all of a sudden moves off, but stays predictable enough for the LMP2 to pass him in a safe and friendly manner which does not put anyone at risk of crashing, what the LMP2 does next is frowned upon and a big no on the sim
Ollie was also looking at chat when the LMP2 was coming up on him and that's why he panicked.
I can never understand incidents like the one that happened in the mirror at the start.
Why do people never slow down when everyone is crashing in front of them?
As for the one from your new best friend, because of the wobble he probably thought you were trying to crash him so he retaliated to what he thought was happening.

People don’t slow down because it’s almost 100 % certain that you get wrecked from behind if you brake. Your best chance is to get through it with luck. Sad but true…
There's not much in the initial accident, I think if you stayed to the left it woulda been fine, that being said It probably only slowed him down by .2 of a second, not sure why he moved over into you once he was just about to get past, all a bit weird really.
He was in the IRCC July 11 iracing clips aswell, randomly almost going into the back of someone coming out of the bus stop?!

Kind of a random question : which class of IMSA would you recommend to someone that doesn’t do a ton of road or is the more beginner friendly class?
Thats tricky, and depends on your goals. Ultimately, I think you'll be best off picking whatever seems most appealing to you. Conventional wisdom will say that the GT3 is the most beginner friendly, being lowest speed and the driver assists... but getting passed by a faster class is scarier and harder to deal with than passing in a faster class. LMP2 is one of the best driving cars on the service, and if you're looking to develop road racing skill and have a rewarding driving experience, its perhaps the best for that. That being said, its the least popular class and often times all of the LMP2 entries get dumped into the highest split, so if you're a lower iR driver this could be intimidating. Also, you have to deal with passing a slower class and being passed by a faster class. LMDh Is good fun, I'd say the caddy is more forgiving than the bmw, but both are very fast, so an error is more likely to cost you. You do have the benefit of being the fastest class on the track, so you wont spend as much time worrying about what is coming up from behind.
@@trentnolan8982 thanks for the long thought out response! We did the Glen in LMP2 and things went okay other than getting wrecked by a LMDH. Was quite intimidating having to pass and also be passed both so i think for the upcoming race we’re gonna try the gt3 class and see how that goes

Initially, it looked like that dude forgot it's a multiclass race, expected you to put indicator on or maybe even slow down and park it on a grass. Then he completely lost it. As usual, when it was already too late, he tried to blame it on you.
Tried to come back to IRacing recently but the racing standards are complete trash. Did two Porsche cup races and bowed out again.

Just looked him up, this was the last race this driver raced on iRacing - presumably they've been banned
The first part maybe a racing incident at a push but not the second one that's a report each time.
He deliberately knocks out the first driver and then makes sure and goes for you again.
Perhaps an aggrieved driver who failed a similar race when he was knocked out of first place and his protest was dismissed by iRacing.
There is no excuse for this, it should be a definitive IP and MAC ban, but it is true that iRacing does not handle protests properly, I have been knocked out of the lead three times in the last few weeks, even on the last lap and my protest was rejected in vain.
What I also think is wrong with iRacing is that they only warn drivers who deliberately cause an accident, I think everyone would be more careful if they had a penalty for those who ruin other people's races, whether deliberately or accidentally

The first incident, if that was a standard account, in traffic, you call it a racing incident.... I think I've done something similar myself before and hated myself for it. But with the tanked iR and the retaliation afterwards... It's not a good look at all! Shocking behaviour and even worse response by him.
Definitely report. It’s like driving in my lower irating lobbies trying to build up irating. Doing well and some one thinks it’s forza and tap you sideways on the straight and you are a gonna. Defo on purpose
That's report everyday, 7 days a week, every month, every year! At least he couldn't say it was "net code", the most common excuse on iRacing!

From his view he was going to your right and you closed him off and he had to jink left and then you straightened up. But 50/50. I'm not going i-racing when its just the same as GT7!
I mean, he’s not completely wrong! In my conception you should’ve stayed in the left and wait for him to overtake you. Even if someone said that he’s was trying to take another driver out on another stream, you changed your position too late. He was coming away too fast then you.

He was taking the racing line as he is expected to as the slower class car. he made a micro adjustment that didnt affect the LMP2 at all as he still managed to get alongside Ollie without lifting. this is all on the LMP2 quite clearly

You dont drive in the middle of the track when a faster car is approaching, simple as, Ollie should have stayed to the outside and let the fast car pass before moving over to the right,

The first hit is fully on Ollie, the second hit wasnt needed by the guy was just probably pissed at Ollie driving blindly
@@wolfe1970 The rule of racing in multiclass is that the slower car takes the racing line to be predictable. The LMP2 didn’t break traction or slow down at all he just went right hand down into Ollie. I’m not being a fanboy it’s just the gentlemen’s rules of racing
I think it’s harsh to say I was driving blindly, this is very early on in the race, it’s fair to not expect an lmp2 so early on. I stay on my line and the racing line. It’s fine if you disagree but I’m happy with what I did

I get that he might not have liked you doing that little jink to the left but you were trying to get out of his way, as he was committed to the inside and you both saw it was going to end badly. You didn't move in reaction as the time between the movements is so small no human could react that quickly.
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that he just misjudged where you were or it could be some netcode but the deliberate ram and also not holding his brakes and nearly taking out p2 spinning back onto the track is just shameful.
Also how is a 0.3K IR driver allowed in the LMP2 cars and is he trying to tank for Spa 24 and win bottom split, like that is like if Verstappen raced against 10 year olds like it takes the fun out of it and if he is just trying to get a win its pathetic you need to drop down to the lowest split just to win

As a learning experience, dont park your GT (slower class car) in the middle of the race track and move around. Once again, youre not being predictable and you are just as responsible for the initial incident... Clearly he is in the wrong for retaliation and chat abuse.

First part was poor driving by him. Been in a Le Mans 24 mid split LMP1 winning team. You can’t just cut across the front before you’ve cleared the car you are passing. As others have said, the tanking, abuse and deliberate crashing into you is dodgy. Passing car has the responsibility of making it by slower cars safely. You stuck to the racing line.
I don’t agree with his actions but you did come across in front in that instance. You should have held your line IMO

it needs to be a Perma ban. but iracing don't do that so he will probably get a suspension and that's it and be back racing after. stuff like that absolutely ruins the sim and any one new at sim

Deliberate tanking is common place in iracing. TH-cam vids last to first promote this behaviour, just report this guy.
Completely his fault. He had car on his right and still continued to try pull in front of you instead of holding his line. He didn even need to be directly in front of you either so that smash could have been avoided

Ultimately, it's his job to avoid a collision, not yours. You did all you had to do. Checking mirrors is fine but it's still not down to you to change your driving to accommodate him even if you saw him unless you're getting a blue flag because, even though it's multiclass, you're still treated as being in the same race. The guy needs an instaban for being a twat.
A permanent ban may be harsh but, how else can you teach this person that actions have consequences, someone who will intentionally wreck another driver obviously can’t behave like an average adult, shameful behavior

That'd be tough to do with a 0.3k irating. Pretty hard to find races where you are going to share a split with streamers, who tend to have fairly high irating.
@@samgendler Not at all hard - LMP2 has no population left so all you gotta do is sign up in the LMP2, you'll likely end up in top split even with 0.3k irating lol

Solid advice. I won at pcup lower split at spa by racing my own race even though my race pace was 2:25 after wheel damage for the entire 11 laps.
