    Best Biolite BaseCamp stove review on TH-cam. I know, I watched them all. Ordered the stove with pizza oven accessory. Can hardly wait to pick it up at REI.

    Thank you @Wildernessways for your review, it was helpful as I have recently gone for a day camping event with some family friends and this is an essential tool we want to get vs those icky camp built-in ring grills. Great product, the company's mission for what they do is another major reason for why I am investing in this camp stove.

    GREAT REVIEW!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do it . I cannot believe that people would waste their time to be rude to you.....if you jackasses dont like it DONT BUY IT!! no need to bring the man down because he finds utility in a product .

      Chris Duke Thanks for the kind words, but if you post enough on TH-cam, you need to develop a thick skin and not take things personally, I regularly get raked over coals for my Midwestern accent ;)

    This is probably one of the best reviews I've seen. It reminds me of a PBS nature special. I'm subscribing for sure. Do you review solar generators?

    Add a copper coil and an insulated vessel and you could run water through the coil and have water to shower with. Why not heat water for shower you are camping right? That or use the water to wash dishes or clothes with. A little silicone tubing the top jug does not need to be insulated unless it is freezing out you want both vessels to be able to handle heat though? If the water is not hot enough in the lower vessel change positions and the water will go through the coil again?

    I like it, but I wonder what it is really good for. If I needed power, I would use a solar panel and when I need a fire, I will make one. I took a biolite stove on a camping trip when no open fires where allowed and people envied me for it. I would not carry a billet on a backpack trip and this big one not even for car camping. cheers, chris

      TheLicewine This works even if you have heavy cloud cover for a few days to generate power, and I take it whenever we car camp, but to each his own.

    is there a cooking lid like a grill & can you use charcoal at times?

    • @Wildernessways
      @Wildernessways  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      They do make a pizza lid for it, but as far as I know, you do not use charcoal, but then again, I have not tried it with all of the free wood out there.

      I would be very concerned about carbon monoxide if it was in an enclosed space.

    Beautiful piece of equipment. But when is camping not considered camping anymore? If people are bringing all this unnecessary shit.

    I can tell you are for real....using a Bic lighter, so we can see you not a member of the Flintstones.
