Thanks a lot for this video, and comprehensive way of explanation, it helped a lot. This is typical German over engineering, which nobody needs. greetings from Germany where we enjoy the US cars
That's just insane! the wife has a 2012 Camaro SS and there's no dip stick on it either. thanks for figuring this out for us. Stay safe, stay sane See ya at the drags this fall.
Wow! That's crazy! I would have never believed that you would have to do all of that just to check the transmission fluid! Of course its not exactly a run of the mill transmission either... Beefed up for Transbrake, and Launch Assist! Nice Job doing the Research!
I think the issue is the pressure in the transmission. The lack of dipstick would mean it blows the dip stick right out if it were to have one. I guess the price for these fancy bmx gears lol. I have a 392 WB Charger and I think its the same basic transmission, the HP70, so process would be the same. Yeah, its annoying, but at least its not something you have to check yearly.
2 more comments. #1. I didn't know you had a cooking channel, I"ll have to check that out. #2. Do you have to jump on one foot while rubbing your tummy with one hand while patting the top of your head with the other while checking the transmission fluid? ;)
I have a 2020 1320...Not sure I want to go through this. I thought the Aisin 6 speed in VWs was bad. Anyway, have you changed the transmission fluid yet? I live in AZ too. East Valley Phoenix.
I traded it in on a 2500 Ram after I created the neutral strap covers to stop thieves. I knew I was a mark after helping people. I did not change the fluid, it was on the too do list for me. I would have brought it in to a dealer for that.
Have you changed out your transmission fluid? That's alot of steps to just checking the fluid. Haha. I just rolled pass 60k on my charger 392. I'm thinking about changing it out for peace of mind
@@frankscarchilliproductions awesome thanks for the support brother make sure you get a TDS cover. I can send you a discount code for being a 1320 owner
I really wish they would bring back the dip stick.

Thank you! Hello from Arizona
Unbelievable. That is ridiculous to having to go through all that in order to check the transmission fluid!

Thanks for posting this. It really makes you wonder what's up with auto manufacturers. How about just giving us an old school dip stick?
Wow, I'm gonna have to watch again and take notes for this procedure, thanks !

I’m at 70k miles on a 2018. When should I change my fluid?

@@Destroyer1320 Diesel Ram or 6.4? How do you like it? Big difference.
@@nokoolaid I got a Power Wagon, 6.4l major difference in power but love it for what it is.
Love the part where he showed where to pour the fluid in
Not sure why they make things so hard to reach...
Not gonna happen...going straight to the friggin dealer to check it for me. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
That's exactly what they want
I came watch wideo to see how its done. Not to hear theory. Usless
Way too complicated for me! I'll take to the Dealership. Sorry, but I'm just not a skilled mechanic.
would this be the same for a 2017 rt?
Yes
Maybe I missed it, this is a while running fluid check ?
Yes crazy long process
I think BMW is the same if I'm remembering right
@@robertarthurs328 yes they have the ZF trans as well
Is this all the 8 speeds, even v6?
Yes it is
All ZF transmissions
Why so complicated I thought its 2020
I agree not sure why they made it like that....
Does work on the 2015 charger as well?
