The Saab 2000 was developed by Saab, a Swedish aerospace and defense company. The aircraft made its maiden flight on March 26, 1992, and entered commercial service in 1994. Although production ceased in 1999, the Saab 2000 continues to be a popular choice for regional airlines and private charters.
So, what sets the Saab 2000 apart from other regional turboprop aircraft? Well, let's start with its engines. The Saab 2000 is equipped with two Rolls-Royce AE 2100A turboprop engines, each producing approximately 3096 kW of power. With a maximum speed of 370 knots, the Saab 2000 can cover a range of up to 2,800 kilometers on a single flight. The aircraft also boasts a maximum altitude of 31,000 feet, making it ideal for regional air travel.
In terms of passenger capacity, the Saab 2000 can accommodate anywhere from 50 to 58 passengers in a single-class configuration. The aircraft's cabin is spacious and comfortable, with generous seat pitch and an active noise reduction system to ensure a pleasant flight experience.
One unique feature of the Saab 2000 is its short takeoff and landing capabilities. This allows the aircraft to operate from smaller airports and runways, providing access to destinations that may not be reachable by larger aircraft. The Saab 2000 is also known for its reliability and low operating costs, making it a popular choice for regional airlines and private charters.
Speaking of airlines, several reputable airlines have operated the Saab 2000 over the years. These include Crossair, Loganair, Eastern Airways, Flybe, SkyWork, and Darwin Airline. In addition to commercial use, the Saab 2000 has also been employed by military forces. Specifically, the Pakistan Air Force and Royal Saudi Air Force have both used the aircraft for transport and surveillance missions.

The AE2100 engine is built by Rolls-Royce USA, formerly known as the Allison Engine Company (the AE designation honors the company's original name). Allison was best known for the T56/501 series turboprop engines that powered the Lockheed C-130/L-100 Hercules, the Lockheed L-188 Electra II, and the 580 conversions from the 340/440 version of the legendary "Convair-Liner."

I think the Saab 2000 is a prettier and "straightened" plane than the ATR and the Dash 8.

Saab 2000 has a good cruising speed I think. Up to around 360 or 370 knots.
Who does it belong to? Charter flight?
Swedish Aircraft Holdings
I'm a bit late to the party, but I believe SE-LRA is Saabs own aircraft used for some charter and for the company itself. It was recently used to bring home Swedish astronaut Marcus Wandt to Sweden. It was escorted by two gripen fighter jets and they did a flyover of both local airports in Linköping, Sweden were the Saab headquarters are located and where this airplane is based. The airport is used by KLM Cityhopper, local flight club and also for Saab flight testing. You can regularly track the aircraft and it uses callsign SCT214 (Saabcraft)
