I wonder if the fuel nozzles should be blown dry during shutdown using compressed air injected into the fuel manifold via a pneumatic valve opened during fuel cut off. I dunno.
I started it the other day for the first time. There is enough new fuel going through it in the start up phase that it basically makes it clean each time you start it. -Dan
Wow....not to spend other people's money but $5000 can sure buy a lot of AvGas for your Sonex.... You have left us in suspense....I am looking forward to see what your plan is with your $5000 crazy purchase.
Luckily total direct operating cost for the Sonex is $22.50 an hour (by my calculations). I have budgeted up to 200 hours a year and am good with that. That is a lot of flying. So I can spend some dumb money on some fun side projects ;) More to come soon! -Dan
Not that I’m a sports fan, I never watch drag racing, or NASCAR, or anything like that. I’m more of a HUGE fan of Movies, Sci-Fi books, Fantasy Books, etc. I just tried to include a couple different references. 😬
