    It must be made very clear that some Hausa-Fulani came to the river's areas as far back as 200 years ago.
    Particularly in ELELE, their descendants speak fluent Igbo, but not so their grandparents, who still "roll" vowels as is done in Arabic, thus UMU became RUMU.

    I paraphrase you “ we present videos that challenge our intellect and thinking “ . Kachi this is one of such videos. As a young man, you’re doing well. Research more and do let some Igbo authorities know what you’re doing. You’re on a good track and be quite objective for the benefit of all Igbo, whether in the southeast or outside of it. Cheers Kachi

    I appreciate your effort to find connections with the cultures around the Igbo people but it is not an Igbo word. I am from Kalabari in Rivers state. we call our king Amayanabo , three words Ama - yana- bo . Ama means“town or Land” , yana means “ own or owner” and bo means “ person” .

      Noted.

    • @KachiAmobi
      @KachiAmobi  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      But do you acknowledge that part of the Kalabari people are Igbo?

      @@KachiAmobi For us to be classified as Igbo we have to share cultural similarities like language, customs and beliefs which isn’t the case. We share similarities with the ijaw, nembe, okirka , Bonny, finima and the like, but not Igbo. I have never been to any of those place but I can understand them when they speak. But I don’t understand a single word of Igbo. Though I can attest to the fact that there some borrowed Igbo words in to the Kalabari dialect such as the word “spoon” and a few other words, I would attribute this to long term association and trading with the Igbos . A modern day example is the yoruba word for head-tie “gele” has gained popularity as is now replacing the words in other languages. There are some parts of Rivers state that share similarities with Igbo but Kalabari isn’t one.

      I said a part of Kalabari is Igbo but you argued from the angle that the whole IS NOT which is consciously or unconsciously a denial of the right to existence for these people.
      No problem. Further information gathering and dissemination will put most of this to rest.

    Are you also aware that the original founder of Asaba in Delta state is an Igala man with Ibo matriniall lineage before other Ibos dominated the community because of language. Go and find out. Are you aware that there are some Ijaw communities in Delta state that speaks only the Urhobo language but by history they are of Ijaw origin. Because Bonny people speaks Ibo they are all Ibos. Know the bitter truth that there are actually Ibo decesdants in Bonny and Opobo but they came as bought slaves to be sold out but some remained with their masters and latter assimilated to the community. Go and read the History of King Jaja how he got to Opobo from present day Imo state.

      Thank you. Continue deceiving yourself like the Fulanis claiming every where in the North. You Igbos have started that in the South looking for where there is water to enable you guys have access to the sea. The Binis are now claiming Lagos. You guys fed with fake facts. You don't know that minority tribes have more facts about the so called big tribes in Nigeria more than the facts you have. Igbos, Yorubas, Hausas and Kanuris are the problem of Nigeria. Making noise everyone.

    Amayanabo is an Igbo word not an ijaw word

    The Arabic way of speech has created a NEW Igbo dialect which the Ikweres wrongfully think, came from Benin.
