Kachi i fid like to correct one impression on your video, the report that Delta Igbos have always be under the leadership of western region, but under the colonial government the place called the Enuani today used to be under the province of Onitshia, that time there was no region or state the time, it's was after the independence the Whole of Delta Igbos were drafted into the western region of the time but that arrangement was not working either at the time before the old Western region was created and sir Dennis Osadebe was elected the first Governor of the old Mid Western region at the time

@@KachiAmobi Don't mind him, there was no time Enuani was part of Onitsha province. The British government expertly used the divide and conquer strategy against Ndigbo. They knew very well that the Aniomas were Igbos because the various British explorers who studied the area all called them Western Igbos. The British government divided the Western Igbos into two divisions with Ika and Enuani(including Asaba placed under Benin Division and the Ukwuani placed under the Warri division. None of them were ever placed with any group in the Eastern region.
I know this for a fact because I've researched about it very well.
As for the Ekwumekwu war against the colonialists, it was mainly the Enuanis (Aniocha and Oshimili groups) that fought it. The Ika group resisted independently against the British that led to the burning down of Owa town after the British officer was killed there. The Ukwuanis didn't really put up any fight against the British. The relationship of the Aboh royal stool made them easily to accept the British authority although the stool lost its power and declined greatly after the death of Eze Obi Ossai.

Kachi you are doing a good job in your attempt to unify the Ibos. It was also good to see the Ine festival video on your platform. My take on all this is
    1) The older Ibo generation have a blame in what is happening with the identity crisis among the Ibo speaking people today. How? Our elder uncle Chief Pete Edochie in an interview said Ibos are not united. He gave an example of the new yam festival. He thinks all Ibos should have the same date to celebrate the new yam festival and I agree with him. Why? This is because the reason why we are distant from each other is because we have no unifying factors.
My elderly auntie who was born and bred in the northern part of Nigeria said before the civil war each Ibo town had it's own meeting days and there was a meeting day when all Ibos can come together and had a general meeting regardless of what Ibo group you are classed as.
I think it will be a good idea for all Ibos from all parts of Nigeria and wherever they live be it at home or abroad to fix a date to mark the Ibo day, to have the same date for the marking of the new yam festival and if you can think of other ways for us to unify.

@@KachiAmobi Very good. I wish you good luck with it all, someone only has to take a step to start something good.
I will tell you the possibility of this with this example: The people of Uzebu quarters in Benin are relatives of the people of Uzebu quarters in Ondo state. The Uzebu quarters people in Ondo state migrated from the Uzebus in Benin and settled in Yorubaland. Up to date every year these Uzebus come from Benin to Yoruba land and vice versa for a yearly festival to celebrate with each other. They are not allowed to intermarry because they are blood relatives. This festival has been held and still holds for many years now. A friend of mine from Uzebu quarters in Ondo state told me this.
      I wish you a joyful happy 2024.
