For anyone else whose ears got blasted out playing the audio back in After Effects: press L with the sound layer selected to reveal the volume. You can also double tap L to reveal the wave forms, which can make it easier to place the markers to the beat. Give yourself a pat on the back if you made it this far. Great Tutorial, but you can sync with the waveform much quicker. Select the audio track and hit LL quickly to get the waveform of your audio file. Sync with the beat of the waveform.

Hey Gareth, absolutely love your series so far. I don't know if anyone else is having problems with choppy audio? I can't get the keyframes in the right place as the audio is so stuttery! Anyone got any fixes??
2 years later i dont know if this will help you but i had to download the audio again from youtube using a converter to mp3 then it worked with the new mp3 file
