Great video! I won a 50 person Showdown (6-0) last week using Sabine Green. I definitely believe Green is currently the strongest variant. My list runs 3 Timely Intervention, 3 Sundari Peacekeeper, and 2 Darksaber. It combines the best of the Rebels with some Mandalorians. Timely Intervention provides much needed ambush flexibility. I used it several times to take care of small pesky units (such as Lurking Tie Phantom), and allows me to save ECL for Poe or Wrecker. The Peacekeepers are difficult to defeat, provide healing, and synergize with the Darksaber. I won several games against other aggro decks due to the Peacekeeper's healing (just 2 or 4 healing can swing a game). Lastly, Darksaber is just too powerful not to include. Opponents that don't deal with it within a turn will usually lose. Like you said, they can play around it, but we can anticipate this. I don't play it if I predict an immediate answer. I love having so many options for the flip turn, and I also built my deck to not rely on the Darksaber. Anyways, keep up the great content!
Congrats on the wins! I think I have 3x Sundari Peacekeeper in the sideboard of mine and I think it's a great option for aggro mirrors. 2x Darksaber seems like a reasonable idea and I might have to test that.
I like the 1-of saber in sabine just because its ceiling is so high. Timely- i do think this card is good in sabine not for the 5/6 drops but for the 4 drops. Turning K2 into an ambusher after ECL is used or dodonna to removal for a cheap ground sentinel so your other units can push dmg is sweet. I really like the saboteur ship in space. Just going around system patrol crafts and bright hopes is hilarious and 5 damage is huge for a single unit in space. You have to go up to firespray to see that output. In green you can even set it up with wrecker. Green just has so many angles of attack its really hard to play around. The only problem i ever saw in set one with green is after the cut. The other decks that werent sabine in the cut often were feeding on sabine decks to get there so it was an uphill to get the win.
I've played a lot with Sabine Green and Timely Intervention has been a hit for me. I had several games when I had to use the ECL on an early threat and ability to ambush Wrecker and Poe later in the game just for 1 resource was a big hit for me (or using smuggle which is also good when I get Timely Intervention in opening hand). I disliked medal ceremony, as in most of my games I could only buff one unit because other units were dying. I am thinking of changing a deck a little bit changing Medal Ceremony to Timely Interventions - I know it makes For a Cause I Believe In slightly worse, but I think the tradeoff is really worth it. I've been thinking also on playing Ketsu Onyo instead of Sabine Wren, as Saboteur and killing off small upgrades (as well as shield) seems to be more impactful in the current meta. Let me know what do you think!
did not test too muich with sabine but from what ive learned sabine green seems to be the best option right now. Only reason is being able to ecl out wrecker or poe is such a strong play. havent had much success with any other colors for now but there might be something in sabine yellow with a more tempo oriented build as well
I think Dark Saber slots well into Red Sabine since it has the potential of buffing Bo while also not mattering for FACIBI anyways. In particular, it could either sideboard in for Medal Ceremony in your list or vice versa. It's a trap to move away from Rebel synergy towards Mandalorian synergy just because of Dark Saber, I agree with you that it's definitely about the 7 damage to the base. What are your thoughts on Heroic Sacrifice? For 1 resource it can give the same attack buff that Dark Saber does, with the downside of only getting one hit in with it. The upside is getting to work with three other resources on the flip turn and potentially holding off on the ability for a turn or two to get more value out of it.
Thank you! Definitely want to continue running Sabine, and started modding it to improve, so this is great! I was running yellow, but thinking of switch back to green... What do you think of a more Mando focused Green Sabine, with Ketsu Onyo, Sendari Peacekeeper, and even Nite Owl Skirmisher? This could help improve the Darksaber's hit rate. Obviously you don't get the Rebel synergy, but I feel there are already a lot of non-Rebels in there...
Interesting idea! I currently like Sundari Peacekeeper in the sideboard but I'm not sure if it's a great maindeck card. Ketsu Onyo has been good for me sometimes but suffers from being 2 HP, which is a rough spot in a world with Make an Opening, Daring Raid, etc. -- right now my inclination is to avoid playing weaker cards just because they are Mandalorians but I could see a benefit to doing it!
I'm currently trying to figure out what to play, something that I like, is reasonably good, and not too expensive, and these look interesting. Will give them a shot. The first deck link points to a rey deck, though. Wrong link?
Thanks for the suggestion -- the comments here inspired me to build and test one! Check out my new video on it here: th-cam.com/video/K5Pb1LPJdBk/w-d-xo.html

Heroic Resolve is an interesting one for sure, I might end up including that -- I also intend to test the Mercenary Gunship in place of the Y-Wing but generally like having more space threats available, plus the Y-Wing works with Rebel synergy...
Poe and Wrecker ECL are way too much to deal with after the Sabine flip turn. If you dont have the perfect out, I dont see how you can beat it. Poe ECL is way too much overpowered. Even without ECL its super strong, it can hit for 11 with a surprise strike the next turn...
HES BACK🎉
Love this, man. Major credit. Swarms FTW

What are you taking out for the Interventions and Peacekeepers?
Do you have a list we could see?
This leader got a lot of nice buff!

Thanks for the heads up, the link should be fixed now!
Can you do a Sabine Blue????

@@TowerNumberNine lets go!! About to check it out
i still like ezra over the slaves in yellow sabine
i think the red deck wants some number of heroic resolve. also really not a fan of the y-wing, i think that card's just bad
