Honestly I just love how snappy everything is. The ui. The games. When I had a ps4 I would go back to ps3 and be like dang this is just slow with everything. Now going back to my ps4pro it’s sluggish in comparison
I was lucky enough to get a PlayStation 5 on my first try, and this is my first gaming system since the GameCube, so I genuinely can't even compare without being completely astonished at how far next gen gaming consoles has come. One of the best purchases I made last year.

I got the ps5 yesterday and it’s already my favorite console ever. The difference between the ps4 and ps5 is massive. I used to play games on 1080p and 30 frames for years but when I finally experienced 4k and 60 frames for the first time it blew me away.
Xbox is better. I’m currently playing tons of backwards compatible games at An amazing frame rate. I also recently bought a series s because they can emulate Nintendo sega games. Xbox blew Sony out of this universe. Now I just keep my ps5 for strictly Sony exclusives and the rest on old gen games I play on my ps3 backwards compatible

I feel like I could keep the ps5 for 10 years and be happy. The PS4 library available via back compat is vast, full of a wide variety of quality games and will only grow with more and more ps5 games going forwards. Very short loading times, perfect controller, it's close to flawless for my use.
Honestly the UI looked nice initially since it was new but over time I personally feel that it’s a bit bland. I would love if they at least added options to spice up the UI such as personalized wallpapers and widgets like on the PS4. That’s probably been my only real concern since owning my PS5 so I’d definitely say that it’s a very solid system and excels in the areas that matter.
My favorite PS5 feature hands down has to be the mic toggle button under the PS button. Its small but it might just be my favorite feature ever released on any game console ever and its so useful to quickly mute and unmute the mic similar to how PC gamers have push-to-talk as well as hotkeys to control their mic on the fly
The downside to this is people leaving it on with all their background noise and conversations going into the controller though it seems this is only a problem with new ps5 users and when the ps5 first came out
just got my ps5 2 weeks ago, and i'm just having a blast with all my ps4 games enhanced for the ps5, it's like rediscovering all these great games all over again in glorious clarity. Will be some time before i pick up the new ps5 games it has been so great so far
What I really love about the PS5 is how fast they disappear as soon as it appears in retail websites. Looks great in pictures and videos (reviews and such as this one). Will be getting one as soon as I see one either in person, or by some chance, online :).

I honestly think we are in a sweet spot when it comes to gaming. The fact that we’re finally at the time of embracing 4K, smoother frame rates(which I think is important), less loading times, faster load ins. Just can’t wait to see what future games will be!
I was lucky enough to order a PS5 from Best Buy last week. I'm picking it up in a few days. I can't wait to try out Ratchet and Clank on my LG C1 as well. This is my first PlayStation console since PS1. It’s nice to back and play so,e backlogged games I’ve missed. One of my favorite perks is easily using my AirPods Max so seamlessly

I love just how fast everything is. I bought a Samsung QLED with HDMI 2.1 to take advantage of the better graphics and I am blown away with how the games look. I bought a few accessories too. I prefer the white faceplates.
I’ve been in love with my PS5, like many others I’m enjoying the loading times, the graphics & resolutions, the speed of switching games, etc. My favorite features are being able to load right into the game, at the point you want to, using those tiles at the bottom and the Dual Shock 5. That controller is perfect, imo …Well 4/5, can’t mention the DS5 without the stick drift issues, aside from that, it’s great!
As a guy that used to be a PS only up until the Xbox One dropped, I’ve missed out on so many things. Before I decided to change back and got my hands on a PS5 I’d never played Spider-Man, last of us, new god of war nor Uncharted 4, so just by the available games on PS I’m sad that I didn’t take the PS4 back in the day. I could never imagine myself ever switch back to Xbox now. Though I absolutely love the UI and the fast pacing it has with starting up and starting up games and just in general, since my Xbox UI was just slower than a turtle. I also really appreciate the newer knowledge I got that the PS5 actually optimizes several PS4 games for 60FPS
The total package is just so good. The 🎮 are my fave. Makes the gaming experience much more immersive. I've had Spider-Man Miles Morales, Returnal, R&C: Rift Apart, Deathloop and Hades and they've all been amazing 🤩

Good choice I have both. Pretty much only play Xbox at the moment. Gamepass is amazing and new games are cheaper. I would recommend getting the ps5 in a few years when the big exclusives start coming out and you can’t wait any longer. I wish I did!
9:39 Actually in a recent update, PS5 now automatically uploads clips and screenshots to the PS App and stores them there on the cloud for (I think) 14 days. You can save and share them however you want from there
@@flakey6920 if you tap the game library icon on the bottom of the app then look at the top. There should be an option for captures next to games. It shows all your clips from the last 2 weeks. I think they also have to be shorter than 3 minutes to appear in the app too
It’s nice to have someone say nice things about my purchase. But I was a bit underwhelmed for the first year of PS5. I have very high hopes that 2022 will be much much better though.
Ps4 didn't get a decent catalogue of games for the first 2 years. I ended up switching to pc gaming because of it. I will wait for the next gen to come out before picking up a ps5 with cheap games.

Let’s be honest here, the new consoles are just mini pcs with a predetermined UI and it has a disk tray(me like) with controller usage, with support for a mouse and keyboard! But better than the counterparts at the price, 4K HDR 120hz at 399/499? You can’t beat that. And no I’m not saying it’s better than Xbox, they both have flaws and perks. What makes them special is what they are recognized for and what makes them good in their own way. I had the opportunity to buy the disk ps5 at retail price from Sony and I don’t regret it. I currently have a Xbox One S, PC, PS4 and now the PS5 and I love all of them equally, well maybe more my pc 😅, but still. For 300-500, you’re getting one hell of a deal. My favorite part? The controller 🙌🏽
I have all the consoles and the "NICE PS5" has been my go to console here lately. It is tough to beat what Microsoft is offering with the game pass and being able to download and install those games. Never been crazy about the idea of streaming games. The internet in my area can be hit or miss in regards to reliability and speed. The PS5 is a step up from the PS4 in every way especially how the interface looks, feels, and behaves. No complaints here. It's a solid machine and I like the design.
I have a ps5 and Xbox series s. I prefer the series s😬. One year ago I would never have believed I would say such a thing. But ik just like Gamepass a lot. And the series s looks great on my oled c1. I think i will prefer my ps5 again when psvr 2 is launched.
@@jacquesmesrine9427 PlayStation has a history of having a plethora of blockbuster exclusives like the inFamous series and the Uncharted series. If Project Spartacus goes down the Game Pass route by actually giving us these exclusives as well as certain day 1 releases at a similar price point to the Game Pass, it may actually end up beating it just because of the blockbuster factor. But that's a big IF. Only Sony knows what they will do.

Next month I'll have my PS5 for a year. I had to pay $700 for it but it was definitely worth it. That controller is the shit! Now I got ps exclusive for $27 I been digging Death Stranding. Game is amazing looking.
I love the access to the machine itself without feeling you have to have special tools or take it to the shop. But I think my favorite feature is the controller. I honestly thought it was a gimmick or a way to say it's different than come to find out its the same. But it surprised me. Helping me to be in the game. Cold war is good example of the feature.
Starting with the amazing launch, and the close to 10 amazing PS5 exclusives / PS5 upgraded PS4 exclusives, it's been an incredible generation so far for the PS5. The Dualsense controller of course is amazing, and the one true next-gen experience and peripheral.

Great review. It's been a fun year. I'm just hoping they give us themes down the line but I reckon they're gonna lock into the new UI design with the game cards. Only thing that went wrong with mine was my first controller that came with the console got stick drift, but the two i got alongside the console separately are holding up fine. So fingers crossed it was just an unlucky thing with that first in the box controller. And the exclusives thing i don't really mind coz of all the chip shortages and everything it would be harsh for them to fully make studios discontinue support for the big launches, even if it comes at the downside of not maximizing the new gen fully it's a small price to pay for a year or two whilst the supply gets sorted then they can fully start phasing out the old gen and go all in.
My partner got her PS5 last March and I got mine about 2 months ago. To be honest, I think it's pretty overpriced for what it is. When I went from the Xbox 360 to the PS4, the quality of the gameplay was certainly significant. But there were three other features that really made the upgrade have excellent value for me. The first was the ability to sleep the console so that you did not have to load your game up every time you started up the console. That feature alone was HUGE. The other was the ability to record gameplay. While this feature had its limitations, it was still a HUGE upgrade from the previous generation where you had to buy an ELGATO capture device to to this. And finally, was remote play. These three features on their own represented a HUGE value jump on the console in my opinion. There are NO features that are the equivalent to these on this generation of consoles. What we get is fast load times and 4K HDR 60FPS. I am not complaining about the upgraded visuals for games. I expected that with a new generation of GPUs. Although, outside of A Rift Apart, I see very few games really pushing what this hardware is supposedly capable of. Miles Morales looks "OK". Certainly not earth shattering. Ride 4 looks pretty good but for the most part I think the selection of any content that truly takes advantage of the new hardware is severely lacking.
I’ll just say that I got my ps5 about three weeks ago and I haven’t touched the thing since that first week, and that week was magical. But if you are still one of the many people who can’t get one I’m gonna just say you would probably still be on the ps4 most of the time.
I love the UI on the new PS5 and I think it's a very clean and sleek look, but I wish there were more customization options for example the background, widgets, and the ability to be able to create folders. Overall, I think the PS5 is still a great console, and over time I'm sure they'll fix these minor concerns.
I want to add something to your concern, I really wish playstation is going with the minimalist design. I would be really happy if you can create a folder and then choose an icon for that folder. I find the ps4 UI to be disturbing because it has a box-like theme and it's really messy. I'm glad PS5 made it cleaner.
I love the PS5, I have my console for a year now as well and it’s insane how much hours of entertainment it already provided me in a year time. And that for a year which wasn’t really loaded with next-gen games, but all the older games (mostly anything that released after 2015) runs so well and beautifully on the PS5 that a lot of those games feel like new experiences and I’ve been replaying a lot of those games. I already had a 4K HDR tv as well so coming from the PS4 was a really nice visual upgrade. The relatively small SSD size is something which can be a bit of a let down for some users, I’m totally aware of that. But personally I’m quite lucky with my internet speed since I can download games like Red Dead Redemption 2 within an hour so I’m easily able to delete games while I won’t play them for a while and download them again when I plan on playing them. Overall I’m really happy with the hardware upgrade and can’t wait to see the PSVR2 and the upcoming next-gen games, it’s an awesome console
Nice PS5! I have truly enjoyed the console with the time I have had so far. Just love how quick and snappy the whole UI is very excited for vrr implementation. Who knows maybe dolby vision
@@SpawnPoiintthanks for the reply! To explain it a bit more, I'm good with computers but I just don't got the time to troubleshoot why my games weren't behaving right or not loading at all sometimes. My last straw was when I tried playing Terraria and it said 60FPS but felt like 20. I just had enough at that point.
I know it's a small feature but the improvement to the capture button is so damn nice and I feel like it should be talked about more. It's so much faster compared to the ps4 which took forever on some games. It's nice to also be able to pick the duration of the clip right then and there instead of having to go into the setting. Also the quality is just better over all :))
I think the PS4 took screenshots faster by holding the share button for 1 sec. The PS5 takes the same time but the snapshot icon takes time to show. No big deal though, but you're right about the quality and videos.
The PS5 and Series X consoles are great in their own way but it is unfortunate that lower end TVs have not caught up enough to take advantage of them fully. I work electronics at a retail store in a smaller town (~30K population) and usually ask what TV someone has when they buy a DualSense and/or a PS5 game. A good chunk of the time their response is that either they don’t know what TV they had but they got it at Walmart or Target or it is a lower end TV. 60Hz 4K at ~250-350 nits with no wide color gamut is the norm for low end TVs. Those people who got a console either retail or scalped usually can’t tell me that the PS5 or Series X looks better than previous generations if they came from a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X. It is disappointing to hear as a 55in LG GX owner who really appreciates the power of the Next Gen systems. It did cost me though as I upgraded from a 58in Samsung “Walmart Special” straight to the OLED a few months ago due not being able to take full advantage of the power these consoles offer.
I have had the Series X since launch, Game Pass is awesome because it saves me so much money. I also bought a PS5 last week simply for the exclusives. But I play the Series X more simply because of all the great Game Pass games ( many of which PS charges full price for ). I just hope that when PS does start their Game Pass type subscription this year, the best tier will have PS5 games, I hope its as great and affordable as Game Pass or my PS5 will just collect dust.
I also have both consoles and I found myself not enjoying majority of the games on GamePass except for Forza and I really I don’t play that much. For me comes down to the controller and the PS5 controller is simply amazing to the point that I started buying games on the PS5 that I already own on the Xbox. When the PSVR2 drops it might be the final nail in the coffin for the Xbox for me.
Yeah my ps5 doesn't get used much. Funny because I was a massive PlayStation fan until I got the ps5.... Now it does just sit there I play the occasional PS4 game but that's it. It gets turned on like 3 times a week maybe less

With Game Pass, i can play so many great games, many of them are full price on PS, but I can play them on Game Pass for nothing really, as I said too, Microsoft rewards points pays for my Game Pass Ultimate subscription, so I get those Game Pass games free plus the subscription free, this is why Game Pass is so successful. I just hope that when PS does start their Game Pass type subscription, its compatible with Game Pass in both price and quality of big games.

Now horizon zero dawn I loved it but again it's a big open empty world with mediocre gameplay. they're overrated as hell!!!!! Horizon and Spiderman 2 are the only exclusives I have a interest in but I can't afford to whip out £70. I'm glad I have the console but it's not "amazing" it's not as good as people claim it to be

The ps4 is laggy af. When you start for example games like R6 or Black ops 3 and if you go back to the menu while the game starts , shit is lagging so hard i always feel like my ps4 is going to shut down and lets dont talk about games like Warzone... I dont own a ps5 but im sure things like these dont happen on it, atleast not as bad and if thats the case the PS5 is awesome.

Asides from the exclusives and the fact that most friends are on playstation, the one feature that keeps me on PS5 over XSX is the dualsense controller. It's a nice experience! I occasionally go back to XSX to play some games on Game Pass but any games I don't find on there or games I want to experience with dualsense, I tend to purchase on PS5.
After owning mine for an few months I actually prefer my ps4 pro. First off they took away some features that I really liked on the pro. Second for some reason my PS5 doesn't like connecting to my internet sometimes while my pro has no issues. Third thing is the controllers are $10 more and honestly not as good. Mine both have terrible drift issues and I even baby them. My ps4 controllers has last for years without any drift or any problems at all. And lastly is I hate how they are separating new gen and old gen players. Some of my buddies don't want to get an ps5 because they are overhyped an barely different just mostly faster load times and slightly better graphics I feel like an way bigger in size which I hate. But I can't even play on my PS5 with PS4 players. The PS5 is a downgrade at this point.
Yep! I was a massive PlayStation fan up till the ps5. It feels like a lackluster exactly as you said compared up to the Xbox! I currently have the new Xbox, pc and ps5 and it's the first time I can say that Sony didn't impress me🤷

I played Xbox all my life and never owned any PlayStations and growing up my main critique was that the controllers were to small for my hand since I got used to Xbox lol but the new controller and my fandom for Spider-Man is what made make the switch and I regret nothing!
I've definitely enjoyed playing those games I missed on ps4. Stuff like God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Warframe, The Division 2, look and feel fantastic with the increased fps and/or resolution. Plus, playing the definitive ps5 version of Miles Morales, and stuff like Returnal, really offer next gen experiences. Personally, I can't wait for GT7. I really hope it isn't suddenly delayed. This close to release (March 4th) it really shouldn't be. As for improvements, the overwhelming issues for me are letting us use screen shots and customisable themes on the dashboard and enabling 1440p and VRR.
My switch to Play Station from Nintendo started with the PSP… man did my brothers and I loved that little thing. Then we got the PS3 after it came out, then PS4 and now PS5. All thanks to that little PSP that came out in 2004. Much love and support to Play Station for producing a portable console way ahead of its time.
Sony can release as many colourful covers, game dvds, controllers as they want. But for someone like me (who is living in India) if ps5 console is not available locally, I won't care about it at all. I got xbox 360 and I am killing it with 4-5 hours of playtime daily, and i download games from torrent for free. I got over 60 AAA games. I really hope sony improve its production and logistics, in future.
I purchased a PS5 in 2021. I love it. It is a great console for home entertainment. I've got some great games on it such as: God of War, Call of duty, Judgment, Astro's play room. Thanks for the review. It was a great PS5 review.
Vrr is the biggest missing feature, but we know it’s coming. The qol changes I want is to disable the ‘on beep’ and stop the ps5 from turning on when the tv turns on, but keep all other hdmi Cec features enabled. Most of the time I’m turning on my tv, it’s to use a streaming app, but it’s always set the to ps5 input, so it triggers the power.
I bought a my first gaming console, PS5 and it exceeded my expectations. The dualsense controllers are just the best part of its great gaming experience

My favorite PS5 feature hands down has to be the mic toggle button under the PS button. Its small but it might just be my favorite feature ever released on any game console ever and its so useful to quickly mute and unmute the mic similar to how PC gamers have push-to-talk as well as hotkeys to control their mic on the fly
The downside to this is people leaving it on with all their background noise and conversations going into the controller though it seems this is only a problem with new ps5 users and when the ps5 first came out
Even better is you can mute sound and mic if you long press the button

What I really love about the PS5 is how fast they disappear as soon as it appears in retail websites. Looks great in pictures and videos (reviews and such as this one). Will be getting one as soon as I see one either in person, or by some chance, online :).

I honestly think we are in a sweet spot when it comes to gaming. The fact that we’re finally at the time of embracing 4K, smoother frame rates(which I think is important), less loading times, faster load ins. Just can’t wait to see what future games will be!

This is my first PlayStation console since PS1. It’s nice to back and play so,e backlogged games I’ve missed. One of my favorite perks is easily using my AirPods Max so seamlessly

I love just how fast everything is. I bought a Samsung QLED with HDMI 2.1 to take advantage of the better graphics and I am blown away with how the games look. I bought a few accessories too. I prefer the white faceplates.

I’ve been in love with my PS5, like many others I’m enjoying the loading times, the graphics & resolutions, the speed of switching games, etc. My favorite features are being able to load right into the game, at the point you want to, using those tiles at the bottom and the Dual Shock 5. That controller is perfect, imo …Well 4/5, can’t mention the DS5 without the stick drift issues, aside from that, it’s great!
As a guy that used to be a PS only up until the Xbox One dropped, I’ve missed out on so many things. Before I decided to change back and got my hands on a PS5 I’d never played Spider-Man, last of us, new god of war nor Uncharted 4, so just by the available games on PS I’m sad that I didn’t take the PS4 back in the day. I could never imagine myself ever switch back to Xbox now.
Though I absolutely love the UI and the fast pacing it has with starting up and starting up games and just in general, since my Xbox UI was just slower than a turtle.
I also really appreciate the newer knowledge I got that the PS5 actually optimizes several PS4 games for 60FPS

The total package is just so good. The 🎮 are my fave. Makes the gaming experience much more immersive. I've had Spider-Man Miles Morales, Returnal, R&C: Rift Apart, Deathloop and Hades and they've all been amazing 🤩

Good choice I have both. Pretty much only play Xbox at the moment. Gamepass is amazing and new games are cheaper. I would recommend getting the ps5 in a few years when the big exclusives start coming out and you can’t wait any longer. I wish I did!

9:39 Actually in a recent update, PS5 now automatically uploads clips and screenshots to the PS App and stores them there on the cloud for (I think) 14 days. You can save and share them however you want from there

@@flakey6920 if you tap the game library icon on the bottom of the app then look at the top. There should be an option for captures next to games. It shows all your clips from the last 2 weeks. I think they also have to be shorter than 3 minutes to appear in the app too

Ps4 didn't get a decent catalogue of games for the first 2 years. I ended up switching to pc gaming because of it. I will wait for the next gen to come out before picking up a ps5 with cheap games.

Let’s be honest here, the new consoles are just mini pcs with a predetermined UI and it has a disk tray(me like) with controller usage, with support for a mouse and keyboard! But better than the counterparts at the price, 4K HDR 120hz at 399/499? You can’t beat that. And no I’m not saying it’s better than Xbox, they both have flaws and perks. What makes them special is what they are recognized for and what makes them good in their own way. I had the opportunity to buy the disk ps5 at retail price from Sony and I don’t regret it. I currently have a Xbox One S, PC, PS4 and now the PS5 and I love all of them equally, well maybe more my pc 😅, but still. For 300-500, you’re getting one hell of a deal. My favorite part? The controller 🙌🏽
I have all the consoles and the "NICE PS5" has been my go to console here lately. It is tough to beat what Microsoft is offering with the game pass and being able to download and install those games. Never been crazy about the idea of streaming games. The internet in my area can be hit or miss in regards to reliability and speed.
The PS5 is a step up from the PS4 in every way especially how the interface looks, feels, and behaves. No complaints here. It's a solid machine and I like the design.

If Project Spartacus goes down the Game Pass route by actually giving us these exclusives as well as certain day 1 releases at a similar price point to the Game Pass, it may actually end up beating it just because of the blockbuster factor. But that's a big IF. Only Sony knows what they will do.

Next month I'll have my PS5 for a year. I had to pay $700 for it but it was definitely worth it. That controller is the shit! Now I got ps exclusive for $27 I been digging Death Stranding. Game is amazing looking.

I love the access to the machine itself without feeling you have to have special tools or take it to the shop. But I think my favorite feature is the controller. I honestly thought it was a gimmick or a way to say it's different than come to find out its the same. But it surprised me. Helping me to be in the game. Cold war is good example of the feature.
Starting with the amazing launch, and the close to 10 amazing PS5 exclusives / PS5 upgraded PS4 exclusives, it's been an incredible generation so far for the PS5. The Dualsense controller of course is amazing, and the one true next-gen experience and peripheral.
Tell me games that are 18+ for ps5? All of them are indie or little kids game.

Great review. It's been a fun year. I'm just hoping they give us themes down the line but I reckon they're gonna lock into the new UI design with the game cards. Only thing that went wrong with mine was my first controller that came with the console got stick drift, but the two i got alongside the console separately are holding up fine. So fingers crossed it was just an unlucky thing with that first in the box controller. And the exclusives thing i don't really mind coz of all the chip shortages and everything it would be harsh for them to fully make studios discontinue support for the big launches, even if it comes at the downside of not maximizing the new gen fully it's a small price to pay for a year or two whilst the supply gets sorted then they can fully start phasing out the old gen and go all in.

My partner got her PS5 last March and I got mine about 2 months ago. To be honest, I think it's pretty overpriced for what it is. When I went from the Xbox 360 to the PS4, the quality of the gameplay was certainly significant. But there were three other features that really made the upgrade have excellent value for me. The first was the ability to sleep the console so that you did not have to load your game up every time you started up the console. That feature alone was HUGE. The other was the ability to record gameplay.
While this feature had its limitations, it was still a HUGE upgrade from the previous generation where you had to buy an ELGATO capture device to to this. And finally, was remote play. These three features on their own represented a HUGE value jump on the console in my opinion. There are NO features that are the equivalent to these on this generation of consoles.
What we get is fast load times and 4K HDR 60FPS. I am not complaining about the upgraded visuals for games. I expected that with a new generation of GPUs. Although, outside of A Rift Apart, I see very few games really pushing what this hardware is supposedly capable of. Miles Morales looks "OK". Certainly not earth shattering. Ride 4 looks pretty good but for the most part I think the selection of any content that truly takes advantage of the new hardware is severely lacking.

I’ll just say that I got my ps5 about three weeks ago and I haven’t touched the thing since that first week, and that week was magical. But if you are still one of the many people who can’t get one I’m gonna just say you would probably still be on the ps4 most of the time.
I've been playing on my brothers base ps4, which he got on launch. So everything being faster on the new gen is very appreciated
I love the UI on the new PS5 and I think it's a very clean and sleek look, but I wish there were more customization options for example the background, widgets, and the ability to be able to create folders. Overall, I think the PS5 is still a great console, and over time I'm sure they'll fix these minor concerns.
I want to add something to your concern, I really wish playstation is going with the minimalist design. I would be really happy if you can create a folder and then choose an icon for that folder. I find the ps4 UI to be disturbing because it has a box-like theme and it's really messy. I'm glad PS5 made it cleaner.
I love the PS5, I have my console for a year now as well and it’s insane how much hours of entertainment it already provided me in a year time. And that for a year which wasn’t really loaded with next-gen games, but all the older games (mostly anything that released after 2015) runs so well and beautifully on the PS5 that a lot of those games feel like new experiences and I’ve been replaying a lot of those games. I already had a 4K HDR tv as well so coming from the PS4 was a really nice visual upgrade. The relatively small SSD size is something which can be a bit of a let down for some users, I’m totally aware of that. But personally I’m quite lucky with my internet speed since I can download games like Red Dead Redemption 2 within an hour so I’m easily able to delete games while I won’t play them for a while and download them again when I plan on playing them. Overall I’m really happy with the hardware upgrade and can’t wait to see the PSVR2 and the upcoming next-gen games, it’s an awesome console

My last straw was when I tried playing Terraria and it said 60FPS but felt like 20. I just had enough at that point.

I know it's a small feature but the improvement to the capture button is so damn nice and I feel like it should be talked about more. It's so much faster compared to the ps4 which took forever on some games. It's nice to also be able to pick the duration of the clip right then and there instead of having to go into the setting. Also the quality is just better over all :))
I think the PS4 took screenshots faster by holding the share button for 1 sec. The PS5 takes the same time but the snapshot icon takes time to show. No big deal though, but you're right about the quality and videos.

It's incredible how the availability is still an issue today.
The PS5 and Series X consoles are great in their own way but it is unfortunate that lower end TVs have not caught up enough to take advantage of them fully. I work electronics at a retail store in a smaller town (~30K population) and usually ask what TV someone has when they buy a DualSense and/or a PS5 game.
A good chunk of the time their response is that either they don’t know what TV they had but they got it at Walmart or Target or it is a lower end TV. 60Hz 4K at ~250-350 nits with no wide color gamut is the norm for low end TVs.
Those people who got a console either retail or scalped usually can’t tell me that the PS5 or Series X looks better than previous generations if they came from a PS4 Pro or Xbox One X.
It is disappointing to hear as a 55in LG GX owner who really appreciates the power of the Next Gen systems. It did cost me though as I upgraded from a 58in Samsung “Walmart Special” straight to the OLED a few months ago due not being able to take full advantage of the power these consoles offer.
I finally got my PS5 the other day. Loving it so far. I also have a Series X which I have had for awhile. I’m a happy gamer now.

I have had the Series X since launch, Game Pass is awesome because it saves me so much money. I also bought a PS5 last week simply for the exclusives. But I play the Series X more simply because of all the great Game Pass games ( many of which PS charges full price for ). I just hope that when PS does start their Game Pass type subscription this year, the best tier will have PS5 games, I hope its as great and affordable as Game Pass or my PS5 will just collect dust.
I also have both consoles and I found myself not enjoying majority of the games on GamePass except for Forza and I really I don’t play that much. For me comes down to the controller and the PS5 controller is simply amazing to the point that I started buying games on the PS5 that I already own on the Xbox. When the PSVR2 drops it might be the final nail in the coffin for the Xbox for me.

Sony is literally cutting off so many of their player base by raising their prices, what single parent/young adult/teen can whip out £70 pee game which will last about 10-20 hours. Horizon and Spiderman 2 are the only exclusives I have a interest in but I can't afford to whip out £70. I'm glad I have the console but it's not "amazing" it's not as good as people claim it to be

The ps4 is laggy af. When you start for example games like R6 or Black ops 3 and if you go back to the menu while the game starts , shit is lagging so hard i always feel like my ps4 is going to shut down and lets dont talk about games like Warzone... I dont own a ps5 but im sure things like these dont happen on it, atleast not as bad and if thats the case the PS5 is awesome.

Asides from the exclusives and the fact that most friends are on playstation, the one feature that keeps me on PS5 over XSX is the dualsense controller. It's a nice experience! I occasionally go back to XSX to play some games on Game Pass but any games I don't find on there or games I want to experience with dualsense, I tend to purchase on PS5.
After owning mine for an few months I actually prefer my ps4 pro. First off they took away some features that I really liked on the pro. Second for some reason my PS5 doesn't like connecting to my internet sometimes while my pro has no issues. Third thing is the controllers are $10 more and honestly not as good. Mine both have terrible drift issues and I even baby them. My ps4 controllers has last for years without any drift or any problems at all. And lastly is I hate how they are separating new gen and old gen players. Some of my buddies don't want to get an ps5 because they are overhyped an barely different just mostly faster load times and slightly better graphics I feel like an way bigger in size which I hate. But I can't even play on my PS5 with PS4 players. The PS5 is a downgrade at this point.

Yep! I was a massive PlayStation fan up till the ps5. It feels like a lackluster exactly as you said compared up to the Xbox!
I currently have the new Xbox, pc and ps5 and it's the first time I can say that Sony didn't impress me🤷
@@haunteddreams7856 Damn Xbox in it to win it. We do have to wait for Project Spartacus tho. If it turns out to be great with a similar pricing as the game pass, the consumers will ultimately be the winners.
@@santhoshmanickavasagam2467 as a long time Sony fan.... I can confidently say that Sony won't let Spartacus be amazing as they can't lose the money.

@@santhoshmanickavasagam2467 you're right they may prove me wrong but from my experience with Sony and ps plus/ps now they are very good at making something sound awesome for it to be average at best. I paid a year for PlayStation now to use it for 2 months and then never touched again.
As you said we can't say anything now but from my experience Im not expecting too much from them
I played Xbox all my life and never owned any PlayStations and growing up my main critique was that the controllers were to small for my hand since I got used to Xbox lol but the new controller and my fandom for Spider-Man is what made make the switch and I regret nothing!
I've definitely enjoyed playing those games I missed on ps4.
Stuff like God of War, Ghost of Tsushima, Warframe, The Division 2, look and feel fantastic with the increased fps and/or resolution.
Plus, playing the definitive ps5 version of Miles Morales, and stuff like Returnal, really offer next gen experiences.
Personally, I can't wait for GT7.
I really hope it isn't suddenly delayed.
This close to release (March 4th) it really shouldn't be.
As for improvements, the overwhelming issues for me are letting us use screen shots and customisable themes on the dashboard and enabling 1440p and VRR.

I love the dualsense controller, the look, detail, the adaptive triggers to make shooting games and racing games more immersive
I still haven’t got a ps5 yet, but spent $500 on a pc and been playing the stock market. Talk about a fun game!
My switch to Play Station from Nintendo started with the PSP… man did my brothers and I loved that little thing. Then we got the PS3 after it came out, then PS4 and now PS5. All thanks to that little PSP that came out in 2004. Much love and support to Play Station for producing a portable console way ahead of its time.

Sony can release as many colourful covers, game dvds, controllers as they want. But for someone like me (who is living in India) if ps5 console is not available locally, I won't care about it at all. I got xbox 360 and I am killing it with 4-5 hours of playtime daily, and i download games from torrent for free. I got over 60 AAA games. I really hope sony improve its production and logistics, in future.

I purchased a PS5 in 2021. I love it. It is a great console for home entertainment. I've got some great games on it such as: God of War, Call of duty, Judgment, Astro's play room. Thanks for the review. It was a great PS5 review.

Vrr is the biggest missing feature, but we know it’s coming. The qol changes I want is to disable the ‘on beep’ and stop the ps5 from turning on when the tv turns on, but keep all other hdmi Cec features enabled. Most of the time I’m turning on my tv, it’s to use a streaming app, but it’s always set the to ps5 input, so it triggers the power.
With light glowing your ps5, it has gotta be the most attractive consoles ever
Pressing R2 is hard for players who are tired when playing Fifa as well, great new addition.
