I love you too, and I love getting to know you! Your story made me tear up - not because I feel sorry for you or your girls but because the doctor told you they would be non-verbal, and they started talking! Plus, it's obvious how much you love your babies. I think being a doula would be magical. I'd probably cry too at the magnitude of the moment. You have a very impressive resume, but I'm with you, being a momma is the best. My hubby (also a youtuber) works from home (he is also a contract digital artist for a simulator), and I love that he is always here for our girls. He could make significantly more money working outside of the home, but the money would just go toward after school daycare, and that's very expensive in our small town. Plus, he works with them on their homework, and he's able to be there for absolutely everything for them. I've never actually counted loads to see how bad it has gotten before, but I do know that before we came up with our current laundry system, we would put our clean clothes in large plastic containers as well as laundry baskets. We finally got caught up one day, and we've done great so far. Our girls are 12, 10 (she turns 11 on Friday), and 6 years old. They each have their own hamper with their name on it. We wash the loads separate, and we disinfect the hamper when we empty it, then put their clean clothes back in it when they're done, and we let them put their clothes away. My 6-year-old gets help. This system probably doesn't work for everyone, but we just discovered it, and I'm loving it lol. I think it's wonderful that you work on life skills with your children. I've heard other moms in our community talk about how their kids went off to college and had no clue how to even use a debit card, how to do laundry, how to cook, or really do anything for themselves because their mom had always done it. It was very eye opening. Your children are precious! I always wanted a red-headed baby. When I was pregnant with my oldest, I remember telling my hubby that I hoped she'd be a red-head. Neither of us have red hair lol. My dad had coppery red hair though, so I felt like it was a valid wish lol. She's blonde. Anyway, I've written a book! I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving!
I have never considered disinfecting the hamper when I put the clean clothes back in. It makes such sense but somehow I just never thought of it….going to be doing that today! I may try your system because I need something. The kids are great at doing their only laundry but I have to remind them to do it and to do each step along the way…. Does your husband have a TH-cam channel? I would love to check it out. Even though he sounds like a very technically advanced dude and I’m googling how to zoom in on a frame and still can’t get it to work 😂 I love that we have kids with matching ages! Happy Birthday to the soon to be 11! I hope she has a wonderful birthday!! So the red hair thing, I love their hair color. And so does every other old lady in the store. I can’t go get milk without some sweet elderly woman stopping me to compliment their hair, and then proceed to list every read head they’ve known in the past 83 years. It’s adorable. I hope you have an amazing Thanksgiving. I’m up early to start getting everything going, but first, coffee.

I'm glad I came across this video. How devastating that diagnosis must have felt! But it seems you guys have all done incredibly well and your daughters have reaped the benefits of all your hard work. I also have to say, Leroy was cracking me up in this video. And just how many hours did little Kesha end up being hidden by that throw pillow??? 😂
Lucky to be an active Mum forever, gets me every time, 100% my path with our youngest son, no question, and that sentence hearing someone else say it out loud just is very comforting to me
Oh my goodness Sweet Potato was so smol!! Which daughter is which? I know you have Sammy, I think that’s short for Samantha? And Sonja, I hope I spelled her name correctly. And where does the red hair come from? I’m a redhead, my mom was too and my sister. My son is also. My great great grandfather had a big RED handlebar mustache, so we think that’s where the red hair originated. But we aren’t sure. My daughter didn’t get it sadly. Her hair is dark brunette like her father’s. So I’m guessing this was your first video? Girl your channel is growing so fast! Hardly anyone’s gains this many subscribers this fast. Hello, I'm a tradwife too, I'm from England uk , I was 22 when I had my first son he's 27 now! we have another son who is now 18, he has Downs syndrome, he wasn't diagnosed until after birth, so we all went into a little shock mode, he talks a little but is still fully dependant on us all for everything, he is also on the Autistic spectrum so he's also a little different from others with DS as well as his typical peers, while I don't struggle with housework etc ( I'm a little obsessed with it to be fair always tidying) I do struggle with homeschooling our youngest son , and never find time for any self care, have a lot of the same feelings of failure, we have a lovely life all very supportive of each other my marriage is a long and happy one we've been a couple since I was 19 and we were friends 3 years before that, oldest son is like a second daddy to his brother, he works in a Dr's office. I really relate when you talk about your daughters and your mental health it mirrors so many of my feelings and struggles, the other video where you talk about other feeling sympathy for you regarding your daughters really hit home I felt it all of the same feelings. I love watching these videos, your thoughts and honesty is very helpful and your energy and goals you set very motivating, when you said you embrace being an active mum for life wow, I'm not alone! so just thought I'd say hi and thank you for making these videos
I am so relieved and grateful you said you got my hard feelings toward the sympathy. I tried expressing it to some of my friends with typical developing children and they didn't really get it. I was feeling very alone with those feelings. Thank you for stopping and commenting to tell me that. I really appreciate it. It feels like such an ungrateful thing to complain about, but it did feel so hard in that moment. I do see my youngest starting to parent the twins a little bit here and there, so I think its super interesting your oldest is like a second daddy for your youngest. I am so amazed with how siblings can really step up. Its not something we ever wanted to ask of them, but they do it out of love anyway. So hi back, and I'm so happy to meet you.
@@feraltradwife Thank you Beth, yes we never imagined our oldest would step up like he does he's totally our youngest's best friend, there's around 10 years in age between them ( we had 4 miscarriages in between) and I wondered if the gap was too big, but it works in a totally unexpected and wonderful way one we never thought of. I don't think it's ungrateful to feel irritated towards misplaced sympathy, we don't want sympathy, we want acceptance and to belong , the sympathy while a normal human emotion coming from a place of a caring mindset, just makes you feel different and alone, we are all parents, the fact that one of my children's needs may be different I don't want to feel like that's a negative thing, I've spoken to a lady who's son also has Downs syndrome and when they shared the diagnosis with friends and family one friends sent a with sympathy card, all she wanted was a congratulations on the birth of your son card, and I think that points out the reason why we feel negative towards the sympathy, our children typical and non typical, are just that our children, they're loved, they're special and they're deserving, give me understanding, patience, trust, acceptance just keep the sympathy we're not grieving . All the best, Sharon.😊
Omg Sharon I was heartbroken when I read that your friend received a sympathy card. I can’t imagine that level of hurt she must have felt. I looked into a program once that links moms with surprise DS births to moms who already have a DS child just to connect and have joy poured on them. I think it’s so important to find the moms in the dark early days and let them know there is so so much brilliant light ahead.
I know Beth, bless you, no one wants to feel alone , parenthood and indeed life is and should be a wonderful diverse safe place to be who we are without judgement or fear, the very thought that anyone would pity a parent because of their child is hard to swallow, I love that you talk about your daughters and show life with them is totally " normal" and you don't want anyone's sympathy because of them even on the most challenging days, all kids can be challenging sometimes, your home is a loving one anyone can see that, you're doing a great job showing real life, and raising real truths along the way these little things mean so much to people and you'll be helping so many either by making them re think their opinions or showing them look its fine, and you will be too😊
Hun I really think you need to get tested for fibro you have alot of the symptoms of it,,,,and here you are look how amazing your kids are and thats a reflection on yourself and your hubby
