If there's a songwriter in the K-Pop industry that will critique the pressure to look pretty and be popular, it is definitely going to be Soyeon. It's well-documented that she struggled during Produce 101 because haters said she wasn't pretty enough to be an idol. But yes, Queencard IS the title track. I'm hopeful/confident that the song and MV is going to have a very powerful message that speaks against a lot of the superficiality that is pushed in K-Pop.
Soyeon faced criticism during her Produce 101 days where Knetz posted comments about her saying she was very talented but didnt have the face of an idol....and she also had accepted it she made comments saying she knew she was ugly, it was a fact and she cant deny it... It comes from a personal space for her.... But I really love these kind of songs... the body image issues... like there is one scene in the mv where she was adding extra cups to make her breasts look bigger.... so many details... Its deep and healing somehow...

Don't lose sight that the album is titled "I FEEL". It wouldn't surprise me if all 6 songs are tied together with this theme. In any event Soyeon continues to prove she is brilliant and one of the top creative minds in the business.
I'm in my late 30s and this one hits me as well, so not just young girls, but the whole envy of social media and always wanting what someone else one social media has (or portrays they have) the "perfect" life sort of speaking. I struggle with mental health and especially self esteem and when it is bad I cannot look at social media because even though I know and understand that is is just a perfect snap shot of peoples lives it still makes me envious and hits my self worth (why can't I just be like that, why isn't that me). So I might not be the core target group but I really think that this speaks to anyone with self esteem issues and the whole social media "problem".

They didn't do track videos, but every B-side on the album has a corresponding mini-trailer starring one of the characters from this video. Queencard is the title track for this album.
I'm a Melody (fandom of btob who is idle's cube family) . I really like cube idols. Btob got a loooooooot of hate in their early days too for not looking like your typical kpop idol too. But Soyeon, Minhyuk, Hyunsik all focused on their main basis, music, and continued to make well grounded, relatable lyrics with good melodies. Now gidle is one of the biggest 4th gen groups queening all concepts and BTOB are the most, if not, one of the most vocally great male kpop groups. I hope coming forth, both he groups get more love for what they really want to put out there, which is music and message.
The only thing I don't like ABT cube groups is that they are in cube, one of the worst companies out there

I wouldn't say that the song is about the awkwardness you go through when you're in high school, but when you're a young adult. The lyrics specifically reference modern teens feeling more mature than "me." The reason I think it's important to make the distinction is the fact that we often talk about self image issues when you're growing up, but they often remain present once you're already a young adult/adult.
I think there will be no make over in the title song mv too becoz the theme shd be about to love ourselves as it is. There is one scene in this mv that soyeon is happily dancing in front of mirror with nerdy look and that shd be future her who has learnt self-loving. The next scene is she sending paper plane (letter) to prev her that still suffering with inferiority complex.
I believe in Soyeon & think the next song / MV / album is going to be a big comment on the beauty / plastic surgery industry. Or… she’ll surprise us in a completely different & wonderfully unexpected way. Soyeon & (g)I-DLE are great. That dark ending though… 🙀
the paper refers to the realization of everything she says to the video but as it shows the door closes because it was too late she already had her surgery

Although I don't really Like Punk rock-ish songs, I like this one.
That said Since TOMBOY which I think is the By far the best Album they made, Part from TOMBOY which is really Good but not great, Soyeon seems to push her message deeper and deeper.
It's like she learned to not go against the grain. It kind of makes sense, and it doesn't.
Unlike some others and quite alike Orange caramel, their Criticism of society was not badly received.
We may not wanna be honest, because we want to be kind, and admit to ourselves we got attracted to IDLE because of Intelligence in the first place, I personally saw hope for music in the dark age of MTV, but Listening on people when they talk about Last 2 albums, they all got the wrong message.
The message is obscure, so the Intelligent people get the message, but it completely flies over lower IQ people.
That wasn't the case before.
The message was out there love it or hate it.
What I already see is some 20% or more people or more will get from This: Oh yeah you gotta have plastic surgery and SN to stay competitive...
To best describe TOMBOY song and NXDE album would be this:
Imagine a girl that married a Rich guy she doesn't like for safety and security, But she sends a message to say Happy Birthday to the Love of her Life she had to leave for that Life. Only the Two of them can ever catch the message.
It feel a bit empty to me TBH.
That they have to hold their tongue to Farm fanbase...
