Great video. This is one of the best comparison videos I have seen, especially comparing the J2 line of paddles. Great job. I especially like the J2k pro. I think that one intrigues me the most.
Always appreciate your paddle reviews. I follow both you and John Kew for the very insightful and unbiased in depth reviews. I have tried the J2K that my friend has. Would love to try the J2Ti. Keep up the great work!
David … this was an excellent way to provide comparison info … well done. One of the problems is most of us only get to hit a small sample of paddles, but if we are lucky we get to hit enough to develop preferences. For example, maybe I have identified paddle x at one end of the spectrum that is too muted/plush and paddle y at other end that is too stiff. If I hear one of those paddles used as a comparison to other paddles, it gets me in the ballpark. Too many paddles … nice problem to have.
Thanks for the great comparison! Looking to purchase my first nicer paddle after getting into the sport 6 months ago, and this confirmed my suspicion that the J2K is likely the best fit.
Honolulu is my favorite brand! Super curious to try the updated J2. That's the one where you and I diverge a bit on how it feels. But mine is the older mold, so potentially that's a factor or maybe there have been other changes as well. Great vid!
Another great video giving us better tools to base our next paddle purchase. I’ve purchased both the original J2 and J3(currently my main). It would be great to win maybe one of the new material J2’s to see if they fit my game better. I’m short and the added reach definitely interests me.
Nice breakdown of the various models. Good point that the same mold is used for all of them making all of them have the same static and swing weight. Having tried the J2K and owning the J2K pro interested in the Ti model now.
Great detailed game play impressions across the whole diverse J2 line up. The J2K is my daily driver so the new J2Ti is most interesting to me since everyone is jumping on the titanium band wagon.
The J2H is definitely the most interesting paddle in the lineup with the fiberglass. As a J2K user I sometimes want more pop in firefights. Great video as always!
The J2K Pro intrigues me the most. I actually control a firmer faced paddle better especially on transition zone resets and prefer all-court hybrids so this is right up my alley.
First of all, great Ohtani No 17 LA Dodger shirt ! Tells me a lot about you Sir. Good taste ! Great video, you should do that ( unique ) for all the Top Tier Pickleball Brands. Ronbus, Joola, Engage, etc. Do reviews on the Paddle line-ups. Keep up the wonderful work. Saludos, from Panama.
I main the J2K and my wife the J2K Pro! We love the J2 shape and are most interested in trying the Ti next. I used to play the Shogun and loved the plush feel and sound off the face. Just like the J2 shape much better for my game. Can’t wait!
Great video. I like your take on the fiberglass. I played with a Black Diamond and DBD a while back. I’m probably one of the few that likes the original better. With that said, the stiffer paddles tend to give you tennis elbow so I don’t have one.
I’m not gonna lie, I really want the titanium paddle and I don’t care that. It has no metal in it. I just want that plush plush feeling. Thank you for putting this together. The whole lineup is incredible, and I would be ecstatic to have any one of them!!!
I have a titanium paddle and I can say with all honesty that it’s my favorite face material. The dwell time you have when hitting a shot is so good. Great spin. For my game: Kevlar
The J2Ti sounds like a very nice control paddle. I like this comparison video, I’ve been looking for something that compares my J2 to all of the different variants
Congrats on winning the paddle giveaway! Please reach out to me via email at ticklemypickleball35@gmail.com or on instagram at @tickle.mypickleball so we can coordinate the logistics
I played with the J2kpro and really liked the pop and power over my j2k. The fact the J2h is similar at 65 less is great to know. Would love either option
These paddles seem so similar. It seems like they can increase sales if they come out with different body shapes or power paddles. Of the paddles they have, I guess I'm most interested in the j2k paddle.
Nicely done. This is an overview that needed to be done. Im a little confused as how fiberglass is being used that makes it stiffer than carbon fiber. Also, how in paddles like the shapeshifter it adds power and not as much stiffness.
So the Shapeshifter uses multiple layers. They have a plush carbon fiber as the first two layers and the fiberglass as the bottom layer so during soft shots the ball doesn't dig into the 3rd stiff layer as much but it mainly gets activated when you hit harder shots like drives or hard counters. Most fiberglass paddles have the fiberglass as the first layers so it pops off the face quickly with a stiff feel. Hope this helps!
@@TickleMyPickleball thanks! I’ve heard this description, but I have trouble with it. Generally in the composite world carbon fiber is on the rigid side of the spectrum and fiberglass is supple/flexible. Then is if compression of individual plys or flex of the panel. If it is flex then how, as the layup is bonded together?
I had J2K and let it go over Azul which is my main now. I liked how Azul had a bit more power and pop. Wondering J2H would give me the similar experience as Azul. If it does, it would be my favorite.
One reviewer said the Nxtgen Valor Pro is a bit poppier than the Azul (which I use), so could be worth looking into that. Haven't seen it quantitatively compared tho. So may just be subjective.
Thank you for the info! Honolulu is my new fav brand. I'm coming from CRBN 1X 16. It has delaminated and now I'm interested in the Honolulu J2K & J2Ti. Wonder how they'd compare?
The J2k & ti will be softer feeling off the face with less power and reach but they will have better sweet spots and be quicker than the 1x. Hope this helps!
Want to see where the J2K 14mm falls in this. I’m a regular beginner who plays with more control but needs more power and pop. Also need a paddle that’s light but with less vibrations. So for me, it’s J2K 16 vs J2K 14 vs J2Ti
For a beginner I wouldn't recommend a 14mm paddle. Even if they're quicker they are going to be less forgiving with a smaller sweet spot. If you want a quicker & lighter paddle I would recommend the J3 series instead
Always enjoy your reviews. Question - how would you compare the pop of the J2K vs J2TI? I pre-ordered the J2TI. Coming from Monarch All Court, which I find fairly poppy. Thanks.
David … will you be doing a review on Alecto 3? I am interested in going to a power hybrid. I’m like you, hit more toward tip (did in tennis also). So although I enjoyed my 3 months with Apollo, it will be hybrid or extended from now on. For reference I liked Oni before it got too hot 2nd week. Too hot requires big topspin to go with it from baseline. Would be interested in your input on Alecto 3 feel/pocketing, power and spin if you review it. Maybe a comparison to 3S because I now have briefly hit orange Collin 3S.
@@TickleMyPickleball Excellent … looking forward to it. btw … I have a Vatic bag filled with Vatic paddles (prism flash 16, vatic pro flash 14 and 16, Pro V7), so any comparison to Vatic Pro Flash 16 power would be useful. Oh … also OneX, I saw you really liked it, I haven’t hit it.
Yup it is thermoformed with the foam walls. So one thing to take note is that not all Amazon paddle brands are approved for tournament play. Also the J2 shape is unique to HPC
Any chance you could continue your “Small brands paddle review” series, Including the Hisk Rav pro, Czrr X5 pro Edgeless Aerox ( amazon selkirk luxx dupe), and the Garye paddles from amazon? Thank you so much 🎉
The Hisk Rav Pro I've covered on this channel in a previous video already. But that series is currently on hold, oftentimes I have to purchase those paddles myself and those videos tend to not do very well unfortunately 😔
When you stay things such as stiff or firm, you mean less touch and more pop and when you say plush or firm, you mean more control. Is this correct? I currently play with a Vatic Prism-Flash, but would like a little more power and pop. Do you have any recommendations?
Yup plush feel I attribute to a longer dwell time and a more muted feel which often correlates to less pop while stiff paddles have a harsher feedback that oftentimes have more pop

Thanks for the rundown. Been wanting to learn more about the Ti
Just got the J3K this week! Thanks for breaking down all the paddle models :)
Thanks for the comprehensive J2 comparison. Heard great things about the J2K and very curious about the J2Ti
Excellent comparison of the J2 models. I also love another recent offering: J2K Pro 14mm, for more pop and faster maneuverability.
Thank you for the great comparison video!
I’m definitely most curious about the J2ti.
All I could find were reviews on just the k and kpro. This will be my first PB paddle and this video helped me decide on the base J2. Mahalo 🤙🏽
The J2K Ti really peaks my interest the most. Want to feel how the control of the new “titanium” added to the J2 frame feels. 🥒 me to win !
Great video. Thanks! The J2TI intrigues me the most. Really curious about the plush control.
Great detailed game play impressions across the whole diverse J2 line up. The J2K is my daily driver so the new J2Ti is most interesting to me since everyone is jumping on the titanium band wagon.
I’m excited to try the J2Ti for the added control. Nice review!
The J2Ti intrigues me the most... so much I put a preorder in on it a couple weeks ago.
Thanks for breakdown of all J2 paddles. Looking forward to trying Ti model.
The J2H is definitely the most interesting paddle in the lineup with the fiberglass. As a J2K user I sometimes want more pop in firefights. Great video as always!
The J2K Pro, I’ve always liked playing a bit more power forward. Thanks for the great video comparing all these paddles

Great review! Went with the J2k Pro!
Excellent review. J2 carbon and J2h are often overlooked in the other reviews of Honolulu paddles online.

Thanks for comparing the paddles, I currently play with a VP Prizm Flash 16mm, would like to upgrade to a J2K or J2Ti.
Really want to get my hands on the J2Ti but also try out these other ones such as the J2H
I definitely love the J2k but the J2TI is definitely a paddle I’m interested in….great review thanks 👍
The J2Ti interests me the most, also like how it looks!
I would like to put my hands on the latest ti paddle. J2k and j2k pro were great too
I have only seen the J2K, J2K Pro in the wild. Didn't know these other ones existed! Interested in the J2TI
Thanks for the breakdown. J2Ti interests me since it's unreleased and most mysterious
Really interested in the J2ti. So curious about the special titanium feel I've been hearing about!
Really like the hybrid shape. I prefer kevlar over carbon fiber. Interested in trying the J2Ti to see if I'd like that over kevlar.
I ordered the J2K but haven't had a chance to play with it yet. Currently using the Shapeshifter which I like.
Helpful video. The J2Ti interests me!
I think the J2K Pro would be the one I would like to try most. Thank you!
I would like to try the Ti bc of the titanium. Thanks again, great job!
Still think the j2 lineup is as good as it get for hybrid shape. Great video.SOOTHING voice.
J2Ti for sure. I've been playing with the J2K Pro and like it so far and I hope the J2Ti is more plush and take me to the next level.
J2TI caught my eye as it's more plush and control oriented 🎉
The j2ti interests me the most just due to the unique materials
Nice comparison.
I would like to try the j2k.
The J2Ti is the paddle that I'm most interested in. Looking for a more plush paddle that my current one.

I play the J2K Pro. It’s the Best on the market.
J2Ti seems awesome. Haven't seen info on the other J2s other than excellent all rounder j2k
HPC releasing excellent options. J2TI for soft feel would be my choice.
The J2K sounds like the one I'd get, but the Ti would be interesting to try out the new material.
I played with the J2kpro and really liked the pop and power over my j2k. The fact the J2h is similar at 65 less is great to know. Would love either option
Yea I hadn't hit the J2H until last week but when I hit them side by side I could barely see any difference with it compared to my J2K Pro
the j2ti is definitely the most interesting to me. I don’t care whether it’s actually titanium or not i just want something that feels great
J2Ti would be my choice. I need a more plush feel paddle to help with control.
I had the J2K PRO and it was too poppy for me. Would love to try the J2Ti
I’ve been torn between the J2K and J2ti coming from a mach 2 but wanting a little more power without giving up too much control/feel.
I would say go for the TI
J2Ti sounds like the best option for me. I've played with J2K for a while and love it, but need a bit more power.
I'm currently using the J2K, but interested in trying the J2Ti.
I had pretty much convinced myself I was getting a J2K until I started seeing reviews for the Ti. Now I'm torn, but I think I'll go for the Ti.
Yea I talked about it with AllDriveNoDrop for the latest podcast episode (dropping tmrw) but we both prefer the TI over the J2K
I love j2k but it doesn't have pop like the j2k pro that helps against the all the gen 3 paddles
I've played with j2k and the pro, would be interested in trying the j2 though
I need the latest and greatest j2ti
J2k is so solid though. J2 super deal is such a good deal too
J2ti for me too since it seems like an improvement to the already great j2k
I love my J2K but I’m very interested in the “titanium’ paddle.
J2ti seems to be very anticipated
I am trying to get away from poppy paddles and would love to try the Ti
These paddles seem so similar. It seems like they can increase sales if they come out with different body shapes or power paddles. Of the paddles they have, I guess I'm most interested in the j2k paddle.
They have a wide body j3 and an elongated J7. Both come in Kevlar and carbon fiber.
