Entertaining and genuinely informative in one package, a Sped classic. I wish I'd had one of these when I spent 5 weeks away from home recently, it's the perfect travelling companion. Especially with the screw-off neck.
Thank you Kit! Stoked you liked this one. There was a joke every 2 minutes and a bunch of playing. I gave myself 488% on Rotten Tomatoes. Yeah it really would be awesome as a travel guitar. Sling that pedal in the front as well and you're bulletproof.
Yeah, got to agree about the black knob -would be good if there was a white one with the loot. The black one makes it jump out among the 100s of block-heeled Strat copies when shopping, but I imagine 99/100 users would swap for the white one within a day. For a factory limited to 1 paint colour, they lucked out with Shell Pink -it looks great.
I absolutely love the pink. I got to choose and I think I chose well, it was between that and the gold. It would blend in more if you had them matching. And those who know would know. Regardless, for the money it’s a bargain without all the tech. Very cool product. 🙌🏻
Great review, lots of fun. I agree the GTRS is on its own, it's not trying to be anything else, it doesn't need to, it's carved its own niche. I'm very tempted, I was thinking of doing some Dave Murray type mods, plus new tuners and trem on one of my Japanese Strats (come to think of it I don't play a lot of Maiden, but I like his set up, I tend to play blues rock in the main). Pondered if the App on the GTRS would be a 5 minute wonder, or best thing since sliced bread - you've demoed just how versatile the App is. Selecting pick ups from the ages is awesome - okay I'm a bit mutton now, so I couldn't hear a great lot of difference - on a phone - with the bridge pick-up? But the neck etc was remarkable. A guitar for all people the quality on this and P model looks to be very good straight from the box too. Time to start saving and start selling 🤔🤔🤔
No,... You're not a knob. But Super, indeed. Ive always loved Mooer gear, I own a few pieces. This this is a nice bit of gear. When the Smart LP style comes, Ill grab one. Thanks Sped. Cheers!

As a touring musician, I see some of the cons of using this as only thing on a stage: 1. It looks like that adjusting parameters on stage between songs or just as you feel it is quite difficult, need to bring an Ipad or use your phone which is not very handful. Also the Bluetooth conection itself is not so stable. 2. Sound engineers love XRL conections to go straight to the house so you need proper length cable or DI box which is another bother. 3. For my ears, digital effects on this is not as high quality as for exaple Helix, also amps and cabs are mediocre, no IR slots, and limited eq possibilities. 4. If that cheap looking footswich goes down, you can only go bank up with the knob.

Very cool tech .. and very impressive taking into consideration the price!!.. but erm it’s a bit pink!!.. I mean imagine rocking up to the Pig and Pheasant boozer to play a gig of mostly LZ covers with your hard rocking hard drinking band mates.. pubs jam packed with biker types.. step on stage (well by stage I mean the sticky carpeted bit for bands) .. and you whip out a pink guitar.. 😳🤔
Are these they same biker types that paid good money back in the day to see one Mr Jimmy Page stand on stage in the infamous Pink Dragon Suit? If so then I imagine that they’d be more disappointed that you only had a pink guitar and not the matching outfit! 👚🌸💕
Seems like a fully operational micro recording studio in a guitar with two peripherals. I think the only case candy missing is a phone holder you can attach to a mic stand like what folks use in their cars. I suppose I could buy one for $10. But think how much smarter this guitar would be if one were included............
Hahaha, you didn't get a full glimpse in the front pocket did you? It's like Mary Poppins' bag in there; what if there are phone holders for everyone? (There isn't.) But it's a good shout and literally one of the only ways this guitar could get smarter.
Of course the more I ponder what Ive learned at your insistence....the idea that I...a non-gigging musician... Could have a world of amps at the touch of a finger whilst performing at a 100K seat arena of my mind...is incomprehensible. Able to swap out and flip settings trying something new on the fly....all on a screen the size of a $1 bill....I mean after all...arnt we all doing more with our wireless devices....being able to play 127 different setups all micro adjustable to sound like 1000 different guitars without having to take the one guitar off my body....Im nearly sold.
