  • Torticollis is a condition in which a baby's head is "twisted" or turned to the side and tilted to the opposite side. Here the babies have their head tilted to their left and rotated to their right. It can also happen in adults but this playlist is dedicated to the treatment of torticollis in babies. I would like to thank Bode's family who allowed me to come into their home for 6 hours at a time to film him starting when he was 1 month old. ...And then to return and do it again. Wow! Bode does not have torticollis. Bode was quite tolerant of being turned and stretched this way and that. I hope you find these videos useful. If you believe your baby has torticollis, consult your doctor and a pediatric physical therapist with experience treating a child with torticollis for a program specifically designed to address your specific child's recommendations. Do not delay. Earlier treatment is predictive of better outcomes and shorter treatment.
Here are the clinical guidelines for treatment of congenital Muscular Torticollis:

Since these videos are presented in progressive order of difficulty, it may be helpful to watch them in order. Here is the link to the playlist: • Torticollis Treatment
I am so honored to have people from all over the world watch my videos. I have reviewed and corrected the closed captions for this video so that you might understand what I am saying even if you don't speak English. I hope the directions below are helpful to you.
To turn on Captions, click CC in the bottom or top right corner of the video
To choose a different caption language:
At the bottom right, click Settings. It looks like a wheel.
    Click Subtitles/CC.
    Select a language.
If the language isn't listed when you click Subtitles/CC:
    Click Auto-translate.
    Select a language.
Of course, if the captions are in the way of viewing the details in the video, you can always turn them off in the bottom or top right-hand corner of your video screen.

If your baby tilts their head to their left, then they have left Torticollis. If your baby tilts their head toward their right, then they have right Torticollis more than likely. I have entire playlists for left and right Torticollis respectively. Maybe they can be of some assistance for you. I recommend if you have questions specific to your baby then you contact a local pediatric therapist who can assist you.

It's very cool and quite interesting, but what if a child has disorders like nystagmus or vestibular disorders, can it still be applied?

Possibly. Of course, it all depends on the child. I recommend you find a local Pediatric Physical Therapist who can help you determine the best path for your child.

Unfortunately, it is considered unethical for me to provide treatment recommendations for a child that I have not personally evaluated.

You will need to consult with the local therapist who can assess your child and determine what would be the correct plan of action for your child.
