F Unit Clinchfield 800 with Nathan M5 Horn from L&N FA2 - Switching at Crab Orchard - 360° Video

A Southern Appalachia Railway Museum excursion train was visiting Lhoist for a Family & Friends excursion. This line was previously operated by Franklin Industrial Minerals. Clinchfield 800 is doing some switching after the excursion. The boxcar holds the generator for the head-end power.
Lhoist operates part of the former Tennessee Central Railway (later Southern, after the 1968 TC bankruptcy) from Crab Orchard to the NS interchange in Rockwood.

Clinchfield 800 was originally built as an F3, but Clinchfield later upgraded it to F7 specs. This locomotive has had an interesting history, including being business train locomotive 116 on Seaboard System and CSX, as well as running on MARC commuter trains in Maryland. The horn being used on 800 for this trip is a Nathan M5, from a wrecked L&N FA-2.
