    I Love your treatment techniques, superior knowledge of physiology/anatomy, i get a lot out of watching these video, giving me new ideas and perspectives and refreshes my own knowledge. On the down side, every time i watch these it looks so easy, the clients body looks so relaxed already and the muscles look so smooth and movement is there like the client has already had a bunch of work done. When my clients come in after weeks of not seeing me they are stressed, super tight, after working hard, these techniques would take up SO much time in my sessions. It would be great to see work on bodies that are stiff and don't have this fluidity. Thanks!

      Agree with you on all points. Rebel is one of my favourite go to's. I had the same with a lady yesterday, not large mm mass & the longissimus thoracis was like plucking a double bass string. 😊

    Great tutorial. The spinalis muscle is what is causing my upper back so much pain and causing neck and headaches, but I never knew how to describe it to massage therapists. I kept calling it the "traps" and then wondering why no massage therapist ever goes to the right place.

    Thank you so much for your videos. They are so helpful. I would like to ask a quick question, i work with a number of people who's backs are so dense and solid in a non athletic way. I often find myself digging and feeling as if i have to push into their backs or the work is not felt. What is the best way to work around this?

    I love your videos! Very interesting and informative. However I would love to
    see a variety of body types and how you would adjust your techniques for them. Such as elderly with limited mobility, overweight, or previous surgeries or fusions limiting flexibility etc... For example I’d love to see work on psoas/iliacus on a larger client since this is more often what I run into with my job. I know they really need the work but how to go about it?? I’m also on the more petite side so I find there is certain movements/ROM with clients I physically can’t do. I’d love to see modifications for larger clients.

    Does working cross the table hurt your low back. I was taught not to but I find you can access better leverage. My back does hurt from time to time. This is amazing work though. Im going to try this technique. I’m a therapist and I wish I could experience this type of back work. I get happy watching your videos. Keep them coming.

    These process of working the muscles you teach is really helpful, but I do work at a Chiropractic’s office & the longest massage work I’m allowed to do is about 30 mins. So how can I perform these techniques you share if I only have 10-20 mins sometimes for our patient to start getting some relief. We have a patient right now with the same issue as this client you are working on, but I’m only given 20 mins./therapy visit.

    Hi Allison, thank you for your video. I am a beginner. 1:39-1:44 "With this work you're thinking about separating that connective tissue and offering those layers some space." Could you expand on that please? What is that connective tissue? Is it the same as a fascia? It's connective tissue of the back? And separating it from the erector spinae muscles? And when you say "those layers", are you talking about the muscles, or tissues, or something else? Thank you! :)

    • @RebelMassage
      @RebelMassage  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is too complicated to answer briefly. But in general, fascia and connective tissue are considered the same thing. And CT is layered under, over and all around muscle tissue and bones. (Bones are actually connective tissue too!)
