- Gamuto resembles a real-life Woolly mammoth. It is by far the largest Fanged Beast known to date. The fur covering its huge body is mostly bluish, although it's also white and red on its trunk, legs, back and underside. It has brown plating covering most of its head and feet, plus two tusks seemingly made of the same material. This plating is said to be extremely resistant to damage. Interestingly, Gammoth is sometimes seen with its legs encased in ice. Gammoth is able to breath snow from its trunk, encasing enemies in snow.

Honestly, I didn't pay too much attention to the marketing of the game and wholeheartedly was expecting a Tigrex for Nostalgias sake.
At first I was disappointed.
Then I was Satisfied because popodrome.
Then I was disappointed because it doesn't two shot you like the good ol' tigrex in MHF2.

@@Ranzord95 What she needs is an anti aerial attack, so she wouldn't be aerial spammed like in GU, like when a hunter abuses the aerial attacking her they get snowmanned.
Make it so Gammoth can aim her trunk to fire frost at midair hunters and maybe a rearing or bucking attack to catch hunters close to her who are airborne. The follow through to that last attack could be a slam with her two front feet to catch anything in front of her as well

I don't get why Gammoth isn't more popular, especially it's theme song. it gives the feeling of battling something gigantic, as it should. Gammoth is probably my favorite of the Fated Four. To me her song is up there with Brachydios and Shagaru Magala.

With the rumors that the BIG monsters like Brachyidos will be roaming in packs, could you imagine taking on a WHOLE HERD of Gammoth?! That would be sick!
@FoxManZach Monster Hunter actually... yk, cares about it's lore, so that probably won't be the case. Gammoth's whole shtick is that she's the herd matriarch of the Popo, why would you break that by putting like 5 in the same area? Brachydios, too, is completely solitary and only seen with others during mating season or females raising offspring, they're definitely not pack animals by lore.
The only BIG monsters (not like Dosha is small, by the way. He'd absolutely be able to brawl with a Barroth alone, and jump a Rathian with his gang) that I can see in pack fights by lore are like... Seregios and the Raths

A male equivalent of Gammoth, since according to lore every Gammoth encountered is female. Since male elephants are a little more solidarity than females, maybe make it a little more aggressive than og Gammoth, more reliant on physical attacks. As for looks, a more pronounced head crest and tusks, and change the color from navy blue and red to a smoky grey and white, with a darker color for the head crest and leg plates. Give it a simple name like Wanderer or Loner Gammoth.

Beat her with a Heavy Bowgun with a full set of Mizutsune armor without Palicoes. She's the easiest for us gunners because pierce shots hit like 40 times. Not to mention she moves slower than a Mohran's belly flop.

Gammoth is the hardest of the Fated Four, from my perspective. I'm used to her attacks but I still come close to fainting at least once per battle

The second one is Quadratus, which is more of a bear. The fourth colossus, Phaedra, resembles a horse.

this is easily my fave of the fated 4 themes, because it really gives the feel of fighting something larger then life in a raging blizzard
Underrated monster, such an amazing theme tune! It’s design is incredible and original, I don’t get how it’s not too popular. It’s fight may not be as “exiting” as the other members of the fated four, but it’s definitely one of the most well designed monsters
It gets much more dangerous in later ranks. In low and high rank it is little more than a walking target but very good bowgun practice.
And then Elderfrost comes in with its Ukanlos charge and throwing snow and frost everywhere.
If Gammoth doesn't return in Sunbreak as the cyclops representative, there's CLEARLY something wrong here.

I love how unique her theme is, from what I’ve heard (keep in mind I’m a new world hunter, just recently beat rise) all the other themes are completely different. Favorite monster by far, and I’ve never even played the game she is in, let alone fight her.

When I see Gammoth rise up, I feel like Weeknd looking up in the meme, and a little voice in my mind says "This is the funniest part" and I can only smile as much as I can and open my eyes as much as I can, excited to see if I can evade the Gammoth attack or not. So far I have only hunted one, that of the mission of the popo tongues, but this beast only needed one fight to be one of my favorites. And his song is pure, hard, undiluted epicity, as I like.
Honestly, fight against a Gammoth it have to be like open presents in christmas.
Imagine travelling to a snowy mountain in Monster Hunter 6. Then a blizzard starts, you can't see shit or move fast, but suddenly 0:55 plays and you hear a roar, you look behind you and you see an 80 ft mammoth charging at you at full speed.

I hope she is added to iceborne, she would fit perfectly especially if they revamped her moves to make her a tougher fight. Definitely my favorite of all the Fated Four (all are right beside her tho)

Perfectly fits fighting the largest Fanged Beast ever faced (no wonder its deviant is nicknamed "World's Greatest Peak").
My favorite one of the fated four. This theme screams huge! You feel the menance of a huge monster just ready do stomp you in any second. Kinda like Devil-Joe and Rajang
Yago Albert Deviljho and Rajang together are outranked in comparison to this behemoth.
But Rajang's song is a super danceable song, so the monkey has something to dance on your corpse.

When this theme plays, I can envision a group of climbers scaling a Himalayan mountain, when a snowstorm arrives without warning. Using their last reserves of energy, the climbers must endure to the peak while the snowstorm ravages on.

The Gammoth is my favorite of the 4 main monsters of Generations. He may not have been too fast, but he was super intimidating with his size, strength, and freezing.

Better yet, just send us out to fight a tough, High-ranked monster, and I'll be swinging by with my SnS! You say SnS may be weak, but I say "It's fun, reliable, adaptable, and easy to use! Plus...it's badass when it comes to using items!"

Tbh...I can't pick between my fav of the fated four. I mean there's the badass and cool bugger with a tail sword. The giant electric fella who has an amazing theme. The graceful and beautiful fish fox. Then the goliath that is gammoth. All of them are amazing in their own ways and make it hard for me to choose
A tip for HH users, the brach hunting horn was made to deal with gammoth.
It has tremor res, bind res, and element attack up. Just use it with some fire weapon users on your team and enjoy your fast-cooked gammoth!
It's too bad that you can't fight brach until after you already have gammoth unlocked or have beaten it
First time fighting it with friends, friend charges in, gets grabbed by the tusks, slammed and died shortly after... will never forget my first time xD
