We're going back to Tahiti again next year (2025) for 2 weeks - island hoping in Tahiti, Raiatea, Taha'a, and Bora Bora. The level of expectation was really raised after our vacation in Mo'orea. Can't wait to see what Bora Bora is like,
Been to 15 out of this list, including French Polynesia, Fiji, Galapagos, Easter Island, Maldives, Seychelles, Bahamas, Dominican Rep, Sicily, Turks and Caicos, Indonesia, Sardinia, Philippines, Singapore, Yucatan. I would add some other island destinations where I've been but not in this list, absolutely worth to be on top: New Caledonia, Tonga, Cook islands, Malaysian Borneo and Lady Elliott in GBR, AUS
Wow... I had only dreamed about seeing all of that... HOWEVER, having been to many islands I keep coming back to the realization that the Bahamian OUTER islands or "family islands..." (NOT the "Miami-ized" islands like Nassau)... IMO the "outer-islands" are the best and most tranquil beautiful beaches in the world... Undiscovered by the honeymooners, drinkers, restauranteurs, and developers... AND, they have no alligators, crocodiles, or other "challenges"... etc.... Growing up as a kid I fantasized about the Maldives/Bali/Australia etc... Now when I see the "commercialization" from the excellent aerial drone-shots and the HIDEOUS costs (for stupid honeymooners) I laugh about how I am blessed to not have spent the fortune to go to these since "destroyed" places... Your thoughts appreciated 😊

I was very lucky to visit many of this islands, before mass tourism destroyed some of them, and the death of the coral reef. My family didn't have very much, but my mom recieved stravel stipends through her work as a translator, and I am very grateful for these uforgettable trips.

You're missing Curacao! Beautiful lagoon style beaches and I thought their water was a brighter blue than Turks and Caicos. Not to mention caves, mountains, and authentic Dutch architecture. Also very safe and affordable.

I wish you would have included Okinawa on this list. Okinawa is part of the Ryukyu Islands and I lived for there six months. Beautiful beaches and I have heard Miyakojima is really nice.
