They probably NEVER planned to respond or give it any attention. They would have done it a long time ago. Rather they don't feel like dealing with the PR and the constant questions being thrown at them so they figured fuck it finally.
I'm just really confused about the "killing schoolkids in a school environment" thing. Like, that's the whole focus of Danganronpa and that game isn't banned.
the games more focused on solving cases and shit you get murder once a chapter and the blood is pink, you cant murder and sexually harass on your free will in dr
You're right about there being pink blood, but In Danganronpa there Is suicide, murder, etc, and you have to kill to escape school which is pretty much the point of the game, which is why many high school students get killed by their classmates, and then they get executed. You can't necessarily murder people by free will in Yandere Simulator since you will get caught, there is surveillance cameras, police, teachers, students, etc. Just sayin'.
You know, all this reminds me of the documentary "This Film Is Not Yet Rated", showing how hypocritical the movie rating board in America is regarding indie stuff vs big studio stuff. I suggest you watch it. A suggestion to all those who want to stream Yandere Simulator: Find one of Twitch's smaller rivals who won't arbitrarily ban indie games with lewd content and stream there.
nocturnallillith there is a lot of things that fuck over every one below them, especially if you make it your job. It is like they are your boss, and if you don't make them money they don't want you XD
Because it'd reveal why some twitch users are banned. What this tells me, is that some users are being banned because they murder people on camera. LIKE WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK, TWITCH!?!?
Fif0l I call bullshit, twitch has been taken over by those people ( and extremist at that as one of the top comments on warning to all programers video is one of those people saying they like the game). I'm also suspecting something worse than those people, parents seeing their child watching a stream, and as we all know parents rage out when it comes to video games so imagine yandere sim. In other words pure bullshit.
It's total fucking bullshit. The point of policies like that are so that specific individuals cannot be specifically identified. Knowing that X game was banned for y reason does not tell me that person A was banned for reason B. It simply doesn't make sense.
True. While what they said DID make sense that certain things are allowed if they're optional or take up a very small amount of plot, GTA V has murder, robbery, and gta as a core mechanic AND a crucial plot element, yet isn't banned
Because almost every viewer would raise ultimate hell. This is a game that many people still don't know of so they get a TON less hate for enforcing their rules here. They don't give a flying rats ass about developers. Only the success of themselves.
This video isn't non-tempered at all, or patient. No matter if Y.S should/shouldn't be banned, he's using TH-cam to accelerate a response via pressure from fans. The calm voice is really just passive aggressive if you think about it this way.
+sjgc7 well, Twitch has been a piece of shit not only to devs but to streamers and their fans for a long time. They deserve any shit they get, if you ask me.
TheShadowReaper You're not wrong on that subject, but Im against the fact that he's being praised for a complaint video just because he has a polite and calm voice. This video didn't have to be posted at all, other than for the purpose of mobbing people against Twitch. Like the company or not, this video isn't an innocent update.
What I enjoyed most was how you managed to avoid saying what we're all thinking: All of their reasons seem very familiar, I wonder where I saw these reasons before... Oh yeah, it's literally ALL the reasons YandereDev mentioned could be possible and reasonable ideas as to why it's banned. Nice going Twitch, that the guy whose game you banned has to do the working out and reasons as to why, then you essentially copy-paste it back to him... The absolute disregard there is astonishing really
GortonMichael I think it is funny how they ban a game in early development and wouldn't tell him for a few months that they want the game to be more complete before they review. Loop hole right there...
Critical Chocolate What's wrong with minecraft? Just throw on optifine and a shader pack and have fun with your friends. No need to give any thought for the community or youtubers.
So basically, Twitch's staff are hypocritical jackasses. Also this pretty much means that your game got banned because someone had an axe to grind since all those points are super easy to refute. Also this is the most calm video (and possibly passive aggressive) I've ever watched.
That's about a third of why I watch everything Yandere Dev puts out. That level of passive aggressive and snark is just rare to find outside of fiction.
Plus after watching multiple videos from this guy I'm thinking, "I had not in this game for over a year but now I can't look away." As I stated in another video, I almost want to play the Mission Mode and I suck at stealth.
Smoke Ghost, if that was directed at me the reason is because I don't stream due to lack of know-how equipment, money for said equipment and time. I also don't watch Twitch outside of Final Fantasy XIV stuff.
Can we make yandere simulator violate all of the twitch guidelines, release the final game as the final game, and then release the actual game as a twitch friendly version? Just to spite twitch?
Yet the game Bully is also in a school-based setting and it focuses more on violence than this game and isn't banned on Twitch. It violates the exact same rules as Yandere Simulator. They can't say things like that if there are tons of games violating the rules that are still streamable and there were probably reports on those games as well, but since they're popular, they don't care.
Bully does not have the murder of other students in the school present as a gameplay feature. There are no deaths throughout that entire game, and the worst that it gets graphically is bruising. Bully is rated T for a reason by the ESRB.
***** true. Well, it still contradicts the what Twitch says. It has violence against underage characters in a school setting (focuses on that). A rule that doesn't even exist on their official game content rules list yet is listed as a reason in their response for yandere simulator.
+Brittany McCarty From their Terms of Service: "Further, BY USING THE TWITCH SERVICE, INCLUDING THE INTERACTIVE AREAS YOU AGREE NOT TO post, upload to, transmit, distribute, store, create or otherwise publish through the Twitch Service any of the following: 7. Content that, in the judgment of Twitch, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Interactive Areas or the Twitch Service, or which may expose Twitch or our users to any harm or liability." "Your use of the Twitch Service is at your own risk. Enforcement of the user content or conduct rules set forth in these Terms of Service is solely at Twitch's discretion, and failure to enforce such rules in some instances does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce such rules in other instances." They tell Yandev straight up that part of the reason why it's banned is because it was reported, and if games aren't reported then they won't be viewed by Twitch's staff for evaluation. You can stream Bully because at this point it's a relatively underknown game and people rarely stream it, thus there are less people who would've seen it and reported it.
if investigations are based upon receiving complaints, there is no stopping a twitch employee creating an account and reporting the game multiple times so that the game needs reviewing, and then becomes bannable.
+Rawin Taychamekiatchai an employee isn't exactly an impersonation of the company. They are supposed to represent the intentions of the company, but there's nothing stopping them from deliberately harming the company for their own reasons.
Judging from what I see from SJWs and radical feminists nowadays, I can see how someone can hate something that much. Some even called employers of some anti-SJW TH-camrs and got them fired.
*"jacob m"* I think the girl from the picture is a character from Anime named K-on! if you asked about that and i don't remember the name of the character. :/
i'll never understand people who cant see the obvious difference between over the top fantasy violence involving punching a demon and making him explode, and a schoolgirl shanking another schoolgirl in the neck with a knife.
something like this would not make me lose twitches respect the thing that made me lose respect of twitch is when they banned ice poseidon for being swated on a plane
Good News! Conan Exiles Will be banned from Twitch Right? Right? I mean funny thing when people played Yandere they are mostly mature. When people played Conan Exiles they were beyond immature to the point I could not even find a decent stream because 99% of the top streams were adults acting like kids with naked characters. They would not even bother with armor and just run around naked just because they did it for views.
If you watched any of the top Conan Exile streams the first 24-72 hours the top ones were just so fascinated with naked bodies and would run around naked and act like little kids. My point is Twitch did nothing about it yet their willing to do stuff against this game. Twitch tends to only care about their partners and let them get away from really stupid stuff sadly. If this game had all the top twitch partners into it I bet you it would never been banned.
It doesn't make it better, no. However it is a highly possible reason for it not having been banned. To my understanding it wasn't meant to be an excuse, just a statement of how things are (maybe) working.
You are not actively killing the students, you're just finding their corpses. Yes the game focuses heavily on murder but that's why the blood has been censored to a pink color.
_How twitch deals with GTA 5_ *Twitch:* Pay us and we will not ban the game that breaks our rules *Rockstar:* Yah mate, i will give ya 5K *Twitch:* Thanks, the game shall never be banned Thanks for clicking the Read More button! _How twitch deals with Yandere Simulator_ *Twitch:* This game has killing, light torturing, mid-naked main character and pantie shots! *Twitch proceeds to ban the game without telling yanderedev anything* *Yanderedev finally hears it and he makes tons of videos asking why twitch has banned his game* *Twitch proceeds to wait a year, and then makes a reply to him, where they tell him that they're too lazy to test the game again so they want him to make his game 100% completed, and then they will finally test the game*
That isn't what Twitch said to them at all. They are perfectly justified in waiting for the game to be closer to completion as they can't just constantly check the game to see if it's violated their guidelines. That's not laziness, that's Yandere Simulator not being the center of the universe.
they not give a single bucks to twitch is go like this Twitch:Pay us and we will not ban the game that breaks our rules rockstar: WTF you say bitch? `point bazooka to twitch` Twitch: OK you can show gta 5 with 0 problem. rockstar: you are my bitch now. rockstar with 2K is to powerful, no one can challenge him.
+CJ *Gameplays-Animation-Edition* True, but remember in YandereDev's first Twitch video this year, he describes that as a possibility to why twitch banned the game, not necessarily as the only reason. He mentioned that money was another possibility as well.
Glad to hear you finally got some feedback from Twitch Yandere Dev. Sorry to learn that it is not exactly great news. Regardless of what those at Twitch think we fans are behind you 100% and look forward to every update.
For live streaming, no. Twtich it is. but I have noticed the content is completely changed. YS was all over mark and Jack's channel about the time of the ban, as well as HunniePop (I believe) and then they just disappeared. People are to worried about whether bare breasts will interfere with ad revenue. When it all comes down to it, a game is a game is a game. If it's your lifestyle you need some serious help/
you are the murderer in Yandere, and you have direct control over that. in corpse party, death is game over, and is shown to be horrible and scary. key difference.
Because most people understand what's being done in Corpse Party is not meant to be a reward, or progress. There's a world of difference in being the murderer or the victim, expeccially with underagers.
DavidGX Twitch is nothing more than the right authoritarian hitleresque of video gaming streaming. Their own beliefs are too dystopian. Filled with extra amount of favouritism.
TM6624 Because you can't really check someone's age properly on the internet, and letting children watch 18+ games would probably get Twitch involved in a bunch of legal disputes and sponsorship problems. That being said, it would be nice if there were alternate pages where 18+ games were allowed. Does hitbox allow streaming of yandere sim btw?
Twitch was bought by amazon and you can already connect your accounts (Amazon Prime -> Twitch Prime). Doesn't amazon have a good system to check someone's age?
I honestly don't think Twitch actually watched your rants. They just pulled up their "Why These Games Are Banned" folder and put it in their response. It feels half-assed, and good luck to Yandere Dev to try to get it unbanned. *Anyways back to Hentai Haven I go*
Misael Daboi, you do realize there *is* something called not getting caught by Twitch staff or reported by viewers, right? *I* saw a guy streaming porn once, and he got banned in an instant. You're just another negative person in the comment section who doesn't get the facts straight before he runs his mouth.
Either you ban all, or you ban none. He isn't "butthurt whining" about his game, he just doesn't want to have this game unfairly discriminated against (with a proven bias against anime games)
I don't understand how people report violence against children when it's clearly just pixels killing pixels [Edit] Reminds me of the time when you tried to add a cat, people freaked out like wtf it's not real, *AND* you don't have to do it !
there should be a warning for streams that contain strong violence, then people who don' t want to see children die have nothing to complain about. youre right, its pixels killing pixels, but its brutal nonetheless and there are people who arent enjoying such things.
Although I agree with yandere dev in this, I don't agree with your opinion. I guess censorship should discriminate certain activities represented, it isn't just "pixels". If that's the line of reasoning you wanna go, then there's no problem in streaming an explicit torture and rape section, then say it was just actors. It could be applied to animations, cgis, etc. What the media represents it's what matters, the content not the form of the media itself. ps: I said discriminate rather than prohibited, as you can see above.
Rafik el Jar - Anime Piano & Drawings plus one of the first time you open the game and I quote "All characters are depicted 18 or older, even if otherwise specified" what the hell I guess twich dosn't care for facts
That Loser Mika As they said, the games not complete yet and they'd rather make sure it follows the guidelines when they know not much is going to change about it than every 1/2 month when he adds new features big or small
Why is the game getting un banned?? It still breaks the guidelines and it most likely always will. Theyre not "owning up" to anything. Theyre running their fucking company
But theres so many games, and I bet the majority of workers arent focused on reviewing games, and instead wanting to work on other projects, events, etc. In other words, you can't totally blame them.
Funny how we went from: "we would like to work with creators DURING the development of the game" to "while in development your game is unpredictable, we would rather wait until your game is FINISHED"
[WARNING: LOTS OF TEXT] TL;DR: I think this whole Twitch issue has to do with company size and legal teams of said companies. I think that yes, it does have to do with Twitch's personal tastes in that they could be somewhat xenophobic, however, I think that it's not the main issue. Yandere Simulator is a very small indie title, which isn't a part of any large publishing companies or has any history of having successful titles, and therefore not a large amount of monetary resources. The reason I bring this up is that I think the main issue with the lack of unbanning Yandere Simulator has to do with legal presence. Big name companies have their own legal teams, and if they feel they've been slighted, it isn't an exaggeration to say that they'll release the (legally acquainted) hounds. Twitch is a company, and companies generally respond strongly to legal issues. For example: Valve in regards to their refund system. It took Australia to make a legal issue regarding Steam's lack of a refund system to get one properly implemented. With Yandere Simulator, Twitch has likely come to the conclusion that they can put any repercussions into the back of their minds and not concern themselves with the issue. I believe that the concept I stated above is applicable to a lot of Japanese companies that produce these (arguably) smaller scale games using smaller teams. Twitch has nothing to fear from a developer that doesn't have a strong legal backing; they can safely brush them aside and put it out of their minds.
TL;DR yanderedev go scrap some money you're so stingy of and hire a lawyer lol or do we the "community" have to fund also and pay for the game itself 1-2 years later
Well there was a crowdfunded legal team that helps youtuber from getting their let's play from copyright infringement and being harassed by other let's players and is still active today which prevent trolls from doing bad thing without getting sued, companies from abuse their power. We should have a similar thing this time for game developers, so in that way small indie dev have the same legal power as big companies so situation like this would be equally advantage.
BanananaHead there is another reason I can think of that they banned it. it's NR whereas there a games on twitch that are UR. I have never seen a game on twitch be NR. I think the ratings thing is also a big issue. (NR -not rated when the game is published without being sent to rating people and twitch don't like those games.. they just don't like to mention it UR - unrated when sent to rating people and when chosen as Unrated, it means that it could be Mature or it could be Everyone, because there are mixed amounts of each in the game. )
TL;DR: In his previous videos regarding this issue, *Yandere Dev was exactly on the mark to an uncanny degree with almost every speculation about how Twitch could have handled the situation that Twitch mentioned in the email he has presented in this video.*
I noticed that too. Honestly I think Twitch watched his previous videos to make up reasons for having it still banned. Otherwise I can't explain how they hit the mark that perfectly.
Some people just like to hate this game, not because of the anime, or because of the violence, not really because of anything. I imagine one of those people decided to ban the game.
You have a great game. You shouldn't be discouraged from things like this because in the end,you still have tons of fans who enjoy your game and find out about it regardless,Twitch or not.You keep doing you.
Nice to see twitch FINALLY respond to you! It's better than nothing! :D (don't know if they saw your second twitch video that was nicer towards them, but its still good regardless that they responded!) ...And yet they STILL show signs of being bias! *sigh* If its any consolation to you, I found out about this game AND your channel via your first twitch video, and I've been catching up with all your old videos and am looking forward to your game! All your design choices make sense and this isn't even my type of game that I usually play. Your videos are very excelently done and I felt quite a bit of a relation to you by just the way you speak and format things. It amazes me that you take the time every 2 weeks just to basically "review" your own game...much more in depth and interestingly than most "real reviewers" these days! haha! :P Best of luck Yandere Dev, you've been spending the last 2 years making this game that I didn't know I wanted till now, and I hope the next 2 years REALLY pay off for you! (literately and figurevly) I'll be sure to spread word of your game, and fund your kickstarter whenever that starts. I just wanna say thanks for everything and keep doing you! ;) (Anyone else in my position as well? :/)
I imagine it's because it seems like worming out of the underage issue, since it is clearly a high school setting, which has clearly implied ages of everyone.
From what I've experienced so far the age of a fictional character is a weird topic when it comes to law and rules. Someone can draw a toddler and call it an adult just like anyone could claim that someone who's drawn like a 18-year old girl is 12 at most. I personally wouldn't mind if age wasn't of any concern in fictional works but I guess most people would hate the potential flood of drawn pedo porn we might get then (not like grey-area stuff like that is actually scarce right now if one's looking for it or hard to avoid if one doesn't want to see it though).
but isn't that easy? I just show a bunch of minor kids being tortured and sexually harassed and say "oh! But it's ok! I'm saying they're 18yo! Even if they look like minors and act exactly like minors!" Honestly.
I assume it is because you are playing the killer and can kill more? Wasn't Corpes Party more on the souls or whatever killing them if you made a wrong choice. If Twitch allowed a school girl killing other school teenagers on its platform, they may get sued if lets say, a school person just go and stab people in their school because you know the media loves to aim at recent/popular games so Twitch would get bad-press
Well after over a whole year they finally gave him an actual response. They have PR/US but they also have clear rules on what games should be banned and MANY games that violate those rules. So as we all know just because you have something people working on something a system, rules and all that does not mean it is doing its job. @TwitchSupport or #TwitchSupport is useless but some people can do their job.... after well over a year.
likejagger5 But thats just it though. If it took them a whole year to even respond, and the response is basically them spitting in the Devs face, i dont count that as someone doing their job at all. I count that as a major corporate fuck-up. That is 100% not how you run a business or treat the people that use your business.
Hiecchi If you watch his other video, he did mentioned some other games with "current anime" theme art style that still have clearance by Twitch. And ofc if you watch this video, you should know the reason behind his banned game on Twitch. So please don't make wild assumptions only from 1 problem.
alexisawe plays tfm Because unlike rockstar, Yanderedev doesn't have millions of dollars ready to sue twitch if their game gets banned. If GTA V got banned twitch would be sued for damages.
Wait if they aren't willing to review games after every update then how do they know if a popular game wasn't updated to have something against their guide lines ?
Wiser still to save Lovesick for the final release of the game, after you've been assured Twitch won't spot that and ban it. Otherwise YanDev needs a new title.
Ultimate revenge: when YanSim is complete and becomes a big name game, they remove it and start making money from the streams. Then you add an update/mode which features something super clearly against their guidelines and watch them wonder if they should put it back on the ban list and lose all that revenue 😈
LegendOfSonic Even though I am all with Dev, I gotta say no. Corpse Party is an RPG, Yandere is a "simulator," so meant so be somewhat realistic. That is why Corspe Party isn't banned.
I been using TH-cam to stream / record. I would recommend or even suggest that people who want to show this wonderful game stop supporting bad companies like Twitch and support and suggest ones that allow it like TH-cam.
You do see Yandere's videos right? Seems one up then Twitch. Everyone has flaws but when it comes to youtube vs twitch streaming TH-cam wins hands down. Just needs a bigger streaming community.
TH-cam streaming is ass. The functionality is limited at best, and uncontrollable at worst. There's a reason a community hasn't really built around the product: it's not that great. Twitch has issues, yes, but for a platform made for streaming, they're actually quite amazing.
Kane Hart - Let's Plays TH-cam has mad far more insulting decisions towards their userbase this past year. have you not paid attention to all the shit going on?
Rust and Conan Exiles have blatantly naked characters Almost every streamable game there is has only one way to beat the enemy team, and that's to kill them. Panty shots? I apologize, that's not nudity is it? What rule is that violating?
Mass Destric yes, but there is always a statement when you start yandere simulator that the people in the game are 18 or above. O that means it's not actually child pornography just your imagination
Honestly, I would rather like the towels since it makes more sense, instead of water vapor following you and magically covering your private parts even when out in the open.
*Twitch:* (didn't banned a gamer that show off his shit) It was just a mistake of his.. *Twitch:* (Banned Yandere Simulator for panty shots and etc) Me: Woah technology!
Yandere Simulator's popularity will likely drop when it gets finished, because Dev will stop releasing updates for it. It was important that the game could be more popular now, as when it gets released people will likely talk about it for 1-2 months and stop. There are exceptions for indie games like Undertale, but I see Yandere Simulator's popularity to be at best half as popular as Stardew Valley.
Klezitow! She will be a rival with purple hair, white eyes, take forever to show up if you ask to meet her somewhere, and be a bitch at everything or anyone she doesn't like
Early Access games are games hat are already finished with their development stage. Meaning, that any changes made to Early Access games are bug fixes, new content (DLC), or fixes in quality. You won't see any changes on a fundamental level.
It seems like Twitch wants to hide it behind the fact that YanSim "violated our guidelines before". I find the reasoning that he "might add new violating stuff later on" very weak though. What profit would he get out of doing that?
I really hope you read this coment. 1- We all know they couldn't care less about Yandere. 2- Don't censor your game because of these douchebags. 3- If you still want Yandere to be streamed on Twitch, at least create a "twitch friendly version", so we don't need to suffer the consequences of a fucked company that doesn't want Yandere on their website. 4- Keep up the good work and don't be upset about this shit. I know it's frustrating, and i love Yandere, but there's some shit we just can't change. The solution is to move forward. We're with you.
incorrect, age of consent and legal adulthood in america varies but its 18, the age of DRINKING is 21. Also things such as buying recreational marijuana (where legal) is also 21. But the age to recognize someone as an adult is 18
The Binding of Isaac: Violence, torture (psychological and physical), full nudity, murder, suffering, christian satire, all of that happening to a 7 year-old child "Yeah, I'm fine with dat. Doesn't go against our guidelines in any way possible :3" Yandere Simulator: Violence, torture, half-nudity, murder, slight suffering, *_anime style_* "Well this game seems not so ba- OH MY _GAWD!!! IT'S AGAINST OUR #1 RULE: _*_NO ANIME_*"
YanSim should be unbanned, but Isaac really doesn't go against their guidelines. It's a very mild game. Yes, the story is very sick, but it's all very simply portrayed and none of these sick details are enough to lay down as the main focus of the stream. (Also "full nudity" is kinda weak. If there are no explicit body parts it really doesn't matter). Also, Twitch might be biased against anime, but they don't have a full hate against it. More than enough people stream KanColle, JoJo, Touhou, Naruto, Yugioh, and so on and so forth. (Yes Touhou is not an anime but so is YanSim. And someone who hates anime sure as hell won't realise it's not an anime.)
Conan Exiles *allows* you to run around nude, but it does not *force* you to run around nude. The decision by players to run around nude is not a fault in the game, but a fault in the streamers. Anyone who was reported for playing the game fully nude would be in trouble, not the game. The *goal* of Huniepop is to get close to girls and have sex with them. You can play through this quickly, but it doesn't change the fact the *goal* of the game is to have sex. That would be against twitch's guidelines. That being said, I don't necessarily agree with the reasons the game was banned. The whole children killing children is wrong ruling is pretty shit. It's not in the guidelines and really can't be enforced. The sexual harassment for panty shots, however, makes sense. There was also the scene where you learn someone was going on paid (implied sexual) dates with an older man and use that to bend her arm later to stop going for Senpai.
Magisey When you talked about the paid dates, it’s actually confirmed in one of his recent videos that the character Kokona Haruka only goes to dinner, then collects her money, implying it does not finish sexually.
That's cool you got a response, but with or without twitch, you're gonna make a dope game, so don't let this discourage you bro.
KUBZ
Heya Kubz xD
Jay I love u and we share the same name
Sup Kubz
Kubz Scouts Jay plz respond
I am glad I could help get you a response, took a long time though. Longer than it should have...
you planning to make another video on this? (also i swore i subbed to you huh weird)
ProtoMario i was here before thousands of likes put you at the top of the comment sections.... (yes, its my first time)
ProtoMario You are an awesome TH-camr Proto!
They probably NEVER planned to respond or give it any attention. They would have done it a long time ago.
Rather they don't feel like dealing with the PR and the constant questions being thrown at them so they figured fuck it finally.
hi
I'm just really confused about the "killing schoolkids in a school environment" thing.
Like, that's the whole focus of Danganronpa and that game isn't banned.
Matty S. That's Contradiction, Hypocrisy, and bias 101 for ya.
the games more focused on solving cases and shit
you get murder once a chapter and the blood is pink, you cant murder and sexually harass on your free will in dr
i bet corpse party isnt banned as well and that has way more graphic child murder than danganronpa
+TheEpicHobo Also way younger child mutilation/murder
It is like they are your boss, and if you don't make them money they don't want you XD
nocturnallillith TH-cam Gaming
nocturnallillith TH-cam Gaming
Woah Technology
Twitch has replied
Vera Aprilia xD
Vera Aprilia Lmao
CookiePuff when one of my friends are sad, I go WOAH TECHNOLOGY!!! and they know about Yandere Dev and they start to laugh
Nice
Woah, memology!
Who needs twitch when you got Jay From the freakin Kubscouts
mUND33PS The empire of THAT DUDE will prevail
mUND33PS oh yes Jay from the Kubscouts is THAT DUDE
mUND33PS THAT DUDE
W H O A , T H A T D U D E!
yup! that dude!
Twitch needs to be a new rival in the game
I agree with both of you 100% xD
Yandere-Chan THAT SHOULD BE A EATER EGG XD
That's the real Bad Time Simulator lol
CAiTlin S LOL
I don't think senpai will like twitch-chan... He won't be happy if twitch-cham bans him
Revealing why a game is banned is against privacy policy? You gotta be kidding me.
Fif0l *ikr*?
"while we acknowledge other titles may have some of these elements"
*i smell double standards*
Can't fight that sweet sweet GTA stream dollah.
3世 村正 The question is whether they're actually get reports
And also sometimes the backlash is just so tremendous and damaging that it's safer to not bother.
This is the calmest "Fuck Twitch" video i've ever watched. You have the patience and temper of a saint, YandereDev.
TheShadowReaper Ikr, I dont know how he can stay so calm
DBZExperStyle That makes sense
Everytime he uploads, I drop everything I do, just to watch, no matter what type of video it is

What I enjoyed most was how you managed to avoid saying what we're all thinking:
All of their reasons seem very familiar, I wonder where I saw these reasons before...
My thoughts exactly... Partial biased lazy fucks.
GortonMichael I think it is funny how they ban a game in early development and wouldn't tell him for a few months that they want the game to be more complete before they review. Loop hole right there...
where did that idea come from?

I want him to narrate my life.
I love it too, but it is a little slow, so i run it at 1.25 speed
Can you imagine how he sweet talks all those yandere females? OH BOY.
I'm surprised that you dont know twitch already.

Kyle Li would need to install a logic bomb
Kyle Li Well, he did say he started coding Yandere Simulator to spite a random anonymous comment on 4chan.

That's very true, I almost forgot this game existed.
+Brittany McCarty From their Terms of Service: "Further, BY USING THE TWITCH SERVICE, INCLUDING THE INTERACTIVE AREAS YOU AGREE NOT TO post, upload to, transmit, distribute, store, create or otherwise publish through the Twitch Service any of the following:
7.
Content that, in the judgment of Twitch, is objectionable or which restricts or inhibits any other person from using or enjoying the Interactive Areas or the Twitch Service, or which may expose Twitch or our users to any harm or liability."
"Your use of the Twitch Service is at your own risk. Enforcement of the user content or conduct rules set forth in these Terms of Service is solely at Twitch's discretion, and failure to enforce such rules in some instances does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce such rules in other instances."
They tell Yandev straight up that part of the reason why it's banned is because it was reported, and if games aren't reported then they won't be viewed by Twitch's staff for evaluation. You can stream Bully because at this point it's a relatively underknown game and people rarely stream it, thus there are less people who would've seen it and reported it.
There are no children in YS; only minors, teens and adults.
if investigations are based upon receiving complaints, there is no stopping a twitch employee creating an account and reporting the game multiple times so that the game needs reviewing, and then becomes bannable.
+Rawin Taychamekiatchai an employee isn't exactly an impersonation of the company. They are supposed to represent the intentions of the company, but there's nothing stopping them from deliberately harming the company for their own reasons.
+Rawin Taychamekiatchai hey, it's not my theory. I was just proving that the JimBig's theory, while not very reasonable, isn't exactly crazy either.
Judging from what I see from SJWs and radical feminists nowadays, I can see how someone can hate something that much. Some even called employers of some anti-SJW TH-camrs and got them fired.
JimBig987 you obviously don't know how a report ratio works.
So that means every game in developement/gets updated should be banned on Twitch? Yes Twitch, that's very smart.

I think the difference is violence involving kids
i'll never understand people who cant see the obvious difference between over the top fantasy violence involving punching a demon and making him explode, and a schoolgirl shanking another schoolgirl in the neck with a knife.
I'm kinda disappointed that it took Yandere-dev to make a video to get them to reply
he did one when he was initially banned, but it didn't take as much wind as it did when he followed up a year later

Kane Hart - Let's Plays wut
If you watched any of the top Conan Exile streams the first 24-72 hours the top ones were just so fascinated with naked bodies and would run around naked and act like little kids. My point is Twitch did nothing about it yet their willing to do stuff against this game. Twitch tends to only care about their partners and let them get away from really stupid stuff sadly. If this game had all the top twitch partners into it I bet you it would never been banned.
Except Conan exiles makes twitch a shit ton of ad revenue, and yandere sim doesn't
It doesn't make it better, no. However it is a highly possible reason for it not having been banned. To my understanding it wasn't meant to be an excuse, just a statement of how things are (maybe) working.
yandere sim can't make money on twitch if its banned genius
Has Twitch heard of Danganronpa? A bunch of HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN A KILLING GAME?
Pinky Wilding "It's a textbased game, surely there can be no realistic graphic enactment of violence against underage students"
Vharmi we can see them dead With blood and that's not reported!
Pinky Wilding thats why they use pink blood
Vagkws Aye. that's why they should at the very least suggest this as a alternative to yandere Dev.
You are not actively killing the students, you're just finding their corpses. Yes the game focuses heavily on murder but that's why the blood has been censored to a pink color.

_How twitch deals with Yandere Simulator_
*Twitch:* This game has killing, light torturing, mid-naked main character and pantie shots!
*Twitch proceeds to ban the game without telling yanderedev anything*
*Yanderedev finally hears it and he makes tons of videos asking why twitch has banned his game*
*Twitch proceeds to wait a year, and then makes a reply to him, where they tell him that they're too lazy to test the game again so they want him to make his game 100% completed, and then they will finally test the game*
That isn't what Twitch said to them at all. They are perfectly justified in waiting for the game to be closer to completion as they can't just constantly check the game to see if it's violated their guidelines. That's not laziness, that's Yandere Simulator not being the center of the universe.
Petejatomi roblox No, that's not how it works.
they not give a single bucks to twitch
is go like this
Twitch:Pay us and we will not ban the game that breaks our rules
rockstar: WTF you say bitch? `point bazooka to twitch`
Twitch: OK you can show gta 5 with 0 problem.
rockstar: you are my bitch now.
rockstar with 2K is to powerful, no one can challenge him.
+CJ *Gameplays-Animation-Edition* True, but remember in YandereDev's first Twitch video this year, he describes that as a possibility to why twitch banned the game, not necessarily as the only reason. He mentioned that money was another possibility as well.
Money talks mate
Glad to hear you finally got some feedback from Twitch Yandere Dev. Sorry to learn that it is not exactly great news. Regardless of what those at Twitch think we fans are behind you 100% and look forward to every update.
and Twitch wonders why more people have been using TH-cam to livestream...
swift 104 have they though?
For live streaming, no. Twtich it is. but I have noticed the content is completely changed. YS was all over mark and Jack's channel about the time of the ban, as well as HunniePop (I believe) and then they just disappeared. People are to worried about whether bare breasts will interfere with ad revenue.
When it all comes down to it, a game is a game is a game. If it's your lifestyle you need some serious help/
yeah
"You can kill adults, but you can't kill children." That is so funny without context.
Maybe to a school shooter but not to notmal pple
even to normal people it's pretty funny
"people die when they are killed" doesn't matter who or when or how
only special people would think otherwise
And "you can kill people in a city but not in a school"
*Bans Yandere Simulator.*
*Doesn't ban Corpse Party.*
wut
you are the murderer in Yandere, and you have direct control over that. in corpse party, death is game over, and is shown to be horrible and scary. key difference.
no one reported Corpse Party enough.
Because most people understand what's being done in Corpse Party is not meant to be a reward, or progress. There's a world of difference in being the murderer or the victim, expeccially with underagers.
Eren Gayger I know right?
when it comes to rules Twitch is the meanest. One small mistake and your whole channel is banned in an instant
Twitch: " we don't take the game down because we don't get told about them!"
You know now , time to take down the games , Haha!!
Meh. Screw Twitch. Don't water your content down for them.
Critical Chocolate He might mod the game with an original version and a “Twitch friendly" version lol
Didn't save HuniePop tho, still banned.
DavidGX Twitch is nothing more than the right authoritarian hitleresque of video gaming streaming. Their own beliefs are too dystopian. Filled with extra amount of favouritism.
DavidGX live stream on TH-cam
?
Why can't twitch make a change where they put an 17+ section for people who want to watch those banned titles?
TM6624 Because you can't really check someone's age properly on the internet, and letting children watch 18+ games would probably get Twitch involved in a bunch of legal disputes and sponsorship problems. That being said, it would be nice if there were alternate pages where 18+ games were allowed. Does hitbox allow streaming of yandere sim btw?
Because that's not the kind of image they want to have. They don't want these games on their site at all, and they have good reason not to.
Twitch was bought by amazon and you can already connect your accounts (Amazon Prime -> Twitch Prime). Doesn't amazon have a good system to check someone's age?
Because kids aren't stupid.
TheRandomThings23
They can ran a background check though credit cards, or debit cards. Some sites do that now. Most kids are not really that smart.

Says the guy with fried chicken as his profile picture.
are you guys just spamming him now . ^ .
twitch pay you extra for the overtime or are you just doing it for free?
Kudos for being so calm and mature about it.
Either you ban all, or you ban none. He isn't "butthurt whining" about his game, he just doesn't want to have this game unfairly discriminated against (with a proven bias against anime games)
I don't understand how people report violence against children when it's clearly just pixels killing pixels
[Edit] Reminds me of the time when you tried to add a cat, people freaked out like wtf it's not real, *AND* you don't have to do it !
Rafik el Jar - Anime Piano & Drawings omg i forgot about the cat!!!
there should be a warning for streams that contain strong violence, then people who don' t want to see children die have nothing to complain about. youre right, its pixels killing pixels, but its brutal nonetheless and there are people who arent enjoying such things.
Comment Raptor very true
Holy shit, I did not expect Twitch to double-down on their bullshit. They just need to own up to their mistakes and just un-ban the game already.

[WARNING: LOTS OF TEXT]
TL;DR: I think this whole Twitch issue has to do with company size and legal teams of said companies.
Man, there's so much text I'm not even gonna bother reading it all. Way too much for me.
We got morrison lee in the side of youtuber, indie game developers, etc.. now to help out in legal dispute related to video games, let's plays, etc...
BanananaHead there is another reason I can think of that they banned it. it's NR whereas there a games on twitch that are UR. I have never seen a game on twitch be NR. I think the ratings thing is also a big issue. (NR -not rated when the game is published without being sent to rating people and twitch don't like those games.. they just don't like to mention it
UR - unrated when sent to rating people and when chosen as Unrated, it means that it could be Mature or it could be Everyone, because there are mixed amounts of each in the game. )
how about making a twitch avatar in yandere simulator
so we can torture it?
poof win-win
Skylar Gaming genius
Skylar Gaming replace Kokoni's role by twitch :D
Yes! lets do that !
lol twitch chan
Skylar Gaming GOOD IDEA LIKE KOKONA SHE HAS A PURPLE HAIR LIKE IN TWITCH LOGO, YOU CAN TORTURE MURDER FRAME AND ETC. HER!!
Epic Raptor Gaming Twitch is the second biggest streaming site on the internet after TH-cam.
Good thing it's after TH-cam, cause TH-cam allows YanSim.

Nice to see twitch FINALLY respond to you! It's better than nothing! :D (don't know if they saw your second twitch video that was nicer towards them, but its still good regardless that they responded!)
...And yet they STILL show signs of being bias! *sigh*
If its any consolation to you, I found out about this game AND your channel via your first twitch video, and I've been catching up with all your old videos and am looking forward to your game!
All your design choices make sense and this isn't even my type of game that I usually play. Your videos are very excelently done and I felt quite a bit of a relation to you by just the way you speak and format things. It amazes me that you take the time every 2 weeks just to basically "review" your own game...much more in depth and interestingly than most "real reviewers" these days! haha! :P
Best of luck Yandere Dev, you've been spending the last 2 years making this game that I didn't know I wanted till now, and I hope the next 2 years REALLY pay off for you! (literately and figurevly) I'll be sure to spread word of your game, and fund your kickstarter whenever that starts.
I just wanna say thanks for everything and keep doing you! ;)
(Anyone else in my position as well? :/)
Alienrun I totally agree¡!
Absolutely amazing! 😀
TLDR
Agree ! !
Helperbot3Roblox My comment is only 4 paragraphs long! You can read it...I'm sure of it!
"underage children"
okay but the warning at the start of yandere sim legit says they're all at least 18
Chou蝶 that's just bullshit. The setting is in a high school. High school= under aged kids
Hi Nice to meet you Ever heard of this thing called Collage
"dont kill kids" .... lol... and what is with Corpes Party?
MasterMusicGamer LOL
MasterMusicGamer plus Danganronpa
I assume it is because you are playing the killer and can kill more? Wasn't Corpes Party more on the souls or whatever killing them if you made a wrong choice.
If Twitch allowed a school girl killing other school teenagers on its platform, they may get sued if lets say, a school person just go and stab people in their school because you know the media loves to aim at recent/popular games so Twitch would get bad-press
MasterMusicGamer 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
MasterMusicGamer good point!
Now we know why twitch rhymes with bitch...
Cristina Criss *rhymes
So this is basically Twitch saying "Fuck you we can do what we want" isnt it? Real nice public relations/user support.
Don't Censor Yandere simulator. Please make the game you want it to be.
l agree.
He said in his nicer video on twitch that he planned to just create a twitch friendly version.
thsudy in one of his other twitch discussion videos, he specifically said he would make a twitch version of the game to get the game unbanned.
yeah
I don't
Honestly that's not cool that Twitch is going to ban his game but not the other games too. That's really making Twitch seem bias to anime games
*"biased against anime games" but I see + agree with your point.
Its simple
Anime/Japano-Games are banned and Western Games not.....this is modern game racism -.-
Hiecchi i hope your trolling cause that's a stupid comment.

Says the guy who saved an image on google and put it on their youtube giving no credit at all.
NickthesegaKid ... why?
Hiecchi If you watch his other video, he did mentioned some other games with "current anime" theme art style that still have clearance by Twitch. And ofc if you watch this video, you should know the reason behind his banned game on Twitch. So please don't make wild assumptions only from 1 problem.
No.. no, no, no. They are definitely *not* anime.
They don't ban Ban games that are popular because it brings more people to their website so they can get more money from streamers
JayPlayZ JaysterGaming Yandere Simulator is popular. If that's true, then why is YS still banned?
yandere sim isn't as popular as some of the other games like GTA and ect
alexisawe plays tfm
Because unlike rockstar, Yanderedev doesn't have millions of dollars ready to sue twitch if their game gets banned. If GTA V got banned twitch would be sued for damages.
Rockstar would also lose the case. Twitch could ban any game with the letter D in the title if they wanted to without legal repercussions.
Mike Wazowski fuck are you on about? it's their website they can do whatever the fuck they want.
don't change anything about Yandere Sim Twitch doesn't deserve your game.

I understood that reference.
Wait if they aren't willing to review games after every update then how do they know if a popular game wasn't updated to have something against their guide lines ?
JB Brickman they said they don't want to constantly review something, but I myself think it was unreasonable to ban a game in early development.
Just change the game's name to Lovesick, problem solved.
If they want to play bureaucracy, you can too.
lovesick,baaaaah
Panda eating potato gum is better
I second this motion.
lol and when that eventually gets's banned too change name again ? xD that would be a hilarious endless loop
Wiser still to save Lovesick for the final release of the game, after you've been assured Twitch won't spot that and ban it. Otherwise YanDev needs a new title.
Yandere: Unstable Devotion
lel, what a load of BS. they obviously never planned on giving YS a fair shake. They don't actually care.
Ultimate revenge: when YanSim is complete and becomes a big name game, they remove it and start making money from the streams. Then you add an update/mode which features something super clearly against their guidelines and watch them wonder if they should put it back on the ban list and lose all that revenue 😈
Yes.
spyder976 Wouldn't that be counter-productive? I mean, *IF* Twitch decides to ban YanSim again, what will happen to those who stream YanSim?
spyder976 That's stupid. YanDev's the one who benefits more from streams, not Twitch.
Twitch gets royalties to your streams. so yes twitch benefits from streamers using their platform.
spyder976 W
Yandere simulator? Naw that shit is too violent
Corpse party? Now THAT is a appropriate game to play
LegendOfSonic
Even though I am all with Dev, I gotta say no. Corpse Party is an RPG, Yandere is a "simulator," so meant so be somewhat realistic. That is why Corspe Party isn't banned.
This is why you stream on TH-cam.
Ood Lover you're the true test of freedom of speech lol
Ood Lover stfu avacado head
Ood Lover learn how to write
Jeannie Harvey true
Because TH-cam doesn't ban a game for something that isn't as bad at other allowed games.
I been using TH-cam to stream / record. I would recommend or even suggest that people who want to show this wonderful game stop supporting bad companies like Twitch and support and suggest ones that allow it like TH-cam.
Kane Hart - Let's Plays implying youtube/google isn't worse
Surprised to see you here Kane, I'm currently enjoying your Avorion series :D
Rust and Conan Exiles have blatantly naked characters
Almost every streamable game there is has only one way to beat the enemy team, and that's to kill them.
Panty shots? I apologize, that's not nudity is it? What rule is that violating?
Aiden Storey it's the panties of a student, which counts as child pornography if I'm not mistaken
Mass Destric yes but there is another game that is not banned from twitch that also taked pantyshots of girls... Yandere Dev showed it in the vid...
But the debug says that all characters are 18 or older when you open it.
Mass Destric yes, but there is always a statement when you start yandere simulator that the people in the game are 18 or above. O that means it's not actually child pornography just your imagination
But they're 18 and above, wouldn't that mean they are adults instead of children
Honestly, I would rather like the towels since it makes more sense, instead of water vapor following you and magically covering your private parts even when out in the open.
*Sees that Yandere Dev posted a video* Who needs sleep!
lel Its 13:52 now In Turkey xdd
Sapphire Ocean It's almost 7 pm in Thailand lol
11:01 PM but I go to bed at 10:00 PM normally.
Sapphire Ocean In Germany, it's 1 o'clock pm 😝
Sapphire Ocean Who else is gonna watch a yandare dev video at 3 in the morning?
*Twitch:* (didn't banned a gamer that show off his shit) It was just a mistake of his..
*Twitch:* (Banned Yandere Simulator for panty shots and etc)
Me: Woah technology!
Julia_Cloud24 :3 More like: Whoa! Hypocrisy!
Whoa! Stupidity!(in relation to twitch's dumb assery)
eh who needs Twitch anyway.
Yandere Simulator is a single pringle
Auntie Olga Damn straight 👏
Yandere Simulator's popularity will likely drop when it gets finished, because Dev will stop releasing updates for it. It was important that the game could be more popular now, as when it gets released people will likely talk about it for 1-2 months and stop. There are exceptions for indie games like Undertale, but I see Yandere Simulator's popularity to be at best half as popular as Stardew Valley.
Auntie Olga ready to mingle?
But the pringle eats you instead of you eating the pringle
Auntie Olga, Nice saying
Tomorrow i will start my journey in Yandere simulator...wish me luck!
Did anybody else watch the last 15 seconds expecting some surprise and then being disappointed when it was just a black screen
Do you have annotations disabled? That time has clickable annotations that take you to other YD videos.
Definitely me.
Goddess-Apocalypse gotta get that ah sp-sp-sp spicy add revenue my boy
Me.
He's becoming poor. Gotta do what ya gotta do.
We need Twitch-Chan in yandere simulator
Klezitow! She will be a rival with purple hair, white eyes, take forever to show up if you ask to meet her somewhere, and be a bitch at everything or anyone she doesn't like
Yes pwease
Hey! How about you guys actually try to make arguments instead of spamming the same thing over and over again? That would be nice!
i'm not spamming, i just commented, wtf
Then... BURN!
Does this mean all Early Access games should be banned from Twitch because they may in the future contain prohibited content?
HuskyMuskyBusky I don't know what your comment means.
Early Access games are games hat are already finished with their development stage. Meaning, that any changes made to Early Access games are bug fixes, new content (DLC), or fixes in quality. You won't see any changes on a fundamental level.
So games like Minecraft get banned because updates and creepers?
Nickesh Chauhan Nope you're just being extremely ignorant.
It seems like Twitch wants to hide it behind the fact that YanSim "violated our guidelines before".
I find the reasoning that he "might add new violating stuff later on" very weak though. What profit would he get out of doing that?
the ending never changes
"and thank you, for watching the development, of yandere simulator"
I really hope you read this coment.
1- We all know they couldn't care less about Yandere.
2- Don't censor your game because of these douchebags.
3- If you still want Yandere to be streamed on Twitch, at least create a "twitch friendly version", so we don't need to suffer the consequences of a fucked company that doesn't want Yandere on their website.
4- Keep up the good work and don't be upset about this shit. I know it's frustrating, and i love Yandere, but there's some shit we just can't change. The solution is to move forward. We're with you.
so frikin true, *points to user* this person is truth itself,
One of the most straightfoward yet heart felt comments I've seen on this video! Nice...here's a like! :P
Not to be rude to twitch but where I'm from if your 18 you are a legal adult
Are you from Europe or somewhere else ?
FabulousPotato_ Yeah, in most countries in Europe you're an adult if you're 18 or over, but in America the legal age is 21
incorrect, age of consent and legal adulthood in america varies but its 18, the age of DRINKING is 21. Also things such as buying recreational marijuana (where legal) is also 21. But the age to recognize someone as an adult is 18
For me 18 is adult aswell.
You mean just like the US, where Twitch is located?
The Binding of Isaac:
Violence, torture (psychological and physical), full nudity, murder, suffering, christian satire, all of that happening to a 7 year-old child
"Yeah, I'm fine with dat. Doesn't go against our guidelines in any way possible :3"
Yandere Simulator:
Violence, torture, half-nudity, murder, slight suffering, *_anime style_*
"Well this game seems not so ba- OH MY _GAWD!!!
If there is somehow ever a physical release of this game something like "Too hot for Twitch!" should be a bullet point on the back of the box.
i guess you can say

Seypenni BUT the streamers OR the game weren't banned.
Magisey When you talked about the paid dates, it’s actually confirmed in one of his recent videos that the character Kokona Haruka only goes to dinner, then collects her money, implying it does not finish sexually.
Magisey they..are mot kids. As the game say in the beginning-all characters are 18 or above, techcally kids in Japan but not really.
