    Most of the time I watch dubbed anime with the occasional subbed. And the tribute to dubbed that you have done is amazing.

      Thank you!! I’m glad you liked it :)
      I’m very neutral on it myself. Whether I want to watch a show dubbed or subbed completely depends on the anime I’m watching and my current mood :p

    This is a very original work, i love it. I usually watch the content in its own language, but sometimes the dubs are good too.

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      And that’s completely fair!
      My problem is when people say “Dubs are ALWAYS bad”
      Preferring subs over dubs is completely valid :p

      @@SABBER yeah im very happy i found your channel. can remember it like yesterday that the very first amv that I've seen from you was already different to everything else that i had seen till then and that kinda got me to come back a lot so yeah I'm still around even after about one and a half years or how long it is by now xD

    i personally don't think dub is bad but i'd rather watch it subbed. it's more of a preference thing for me. i still respect the va's for dubs bc of the effort they put in even though they get trashed on. OMG WHY DOES THE MUSIC HIT SO HARD (fire amvs like usual ong)

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah that’s fair! I don’t personally have a preference, I decide whether to watch dub or sub based on my current mood/what anime I’m watching. I usually really like watching slice of life and comedies dubbed, as I can just turn my brain off and watch them while playing a game or something.
      Preferring subs over dubs is completely fair!
      Also THANK YOU!!❤️

  • @Joaqimexists

    Yeah exactly, If I'm being honest, I mostly prefer sub over dub but I don't go around saying that every dubbed anime is terrible. Like yeah, some of them are bad but some of them are great as well. In some cases, dub is better than sub since it adds more feels or just makes the scene more funny. I had a discussion with my friend who watches anime in both dub and sub and here is 1 example (in my opinion) that is funnier in dub compared to sub. th-cam.com/video/OZlT01rCDtA/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=Cooltato

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว

      This!!!
      It’s perfectly fine to prefer one thing over the other, but it’s so annoying when people just call all dubs objectively terrible when it’s completely subjective.
      I love watching comedy anime dubbed, since I think a lot of times the English cast makes the jokes way funnier :p
      And of course there are tons of terrible dubs, but saying there are no great ones at all is just wrong

  • @kyoko-chan227

    Dub isn't that bad, but there are times where it just... sounds awkward to me (or crazy/funny as I'm sure you saw those old anime dubs)
    Regardless though, I mainly prefer sub as it became more natural/comfortable for me to hear japanese when seeing anything that uses anime

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s fair! This is completely an opinion/preference thing. I just hate it when people deny the fact that dubs can be good at all, or criticize you for watching anime in the language you want :p

    You forgot to put 2 of the best Dubbed moments of all time, Erwin Smith's last speech from AOT and Madara's "Wake up to Reality" speech from Naruto.
    I personally prefer to Dub over sub most of the time but there are some anime which are way better in Subbed version (for example "Chainsaw man", It was my first time I started watching anime in Subbed but then the Dub version of it got release after episode 3 so I tried to switch to dub but it was so horrible, compare to Dub the Chainsaw man Subbed was God tier).
    And what people don't get is that the reason Dub are so bad is because people don't watch Dub, so due to lack of viewership the Dubs don't get the budget it needs to produce a good Dub.

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว

      There were a looot of clips I wanted to use but couldn’t. Either because of the length of them/the song or because the music was so loud that it interfered with the song. I haven’t watched Naruto though, so I don’t know about that scene, sorry :p
      But I think you’re underestimating how popular dubs are. It’s perfectly fine to prefer sub over dub, but we’re getting more dubs than ever right now, and it’s because people watch them. I’ve actually heard a lot of praise for the Chainsaw Man dub, but I haven’t heard it myself, so I can’t say anything on that matter.
      But there is a big audience for dubs. There are lots and lots of bad dubs out there, but I want the good ones to get the praise they deserve :)

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wait I think I misread you, you said you prefer dubs over subs?
      Sorry about that! But yeah there are certainly dubs that are absolutely horrible. I’m not saying all dubs are good😅

    • @JirenGrey8621
      @JirenGrey8621 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SABBER Yes, there are more dubs now than ever but the quality and budget for those dubs are very low than before. If you compare old dubs like Dragon Ballz and Naruto to today's dub you can clearly see the difference. Back in the day they even used dub the whole Opening and Ending Songs, All the Opening and Ending songs of Dragon Ball and One piece Dubs are also in english and they are very good too. But now they don't put too much effort in dubs and budget is also very low. But still I prefer dub because it allows me to enjoy beautiful animation rather than looking down all the time and missing all the amazing visuals. (By the way I don't know who's praising Chainsaw man dub but it was horrible compare to Sub especially the voice of Power and Denji.)

    • @SABBER
      @SABBER  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JirenGrey8621 Do you have a source for the low budget of dubs? I'm not saying I don't believe you, but this is the first I've ever heard of it, and I think there are tons of great dubs coming out (Masamune-kun's Revenge and Link Click that are both airing right now for example. Or Kaguya-sama and KonoSuba). The dubbing of openings is just not necessary but it makes sense for Naruto since it's marketed to children. But I personally haven't noticed a general decrease in quality or anything.

    • @JirenGrey8621
      @JirenGrey8621 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SABBER Konosuba and Kaguya-sama are not the example of great dubs, they are good but not the best compare to old Shonen Anime Dubs. (My main problem with them is most of the time voice is not clear because of the background music and you still need subtitles to understand them). As for the budget I checked again and yes they are getting more budget but because higher salary for the voice acting teams. Back then they used to overwork them and pay them less, but still nowadays voice actors are not nearly as good as old one's like "Christopher Sabat, Crispin Freeman and Steve Blums." And also the dialogue writing nowadays has gone worse, every dialogues before used sound more deep, meaningful and also funny but nowdays its like a Google translation of Japanese version.
