    Thank you. I bought the same thing and would not have gone for it in filing it down without your video for inspiration. Note that the filing down has to happen on the thickness as well as the 2D shape. I now have my new key working.

    I tend to use the fixed blade key fob only as its more robust than the flick key fob which breaks easily. An important note about the 453 key fob. The 453 does not tell you that the key fob battery has run out, unlike the previous models that flashed the indicators 7 or 8 times to tell of low key fob battery. (this was we think a cost saving exorcise by Smart). So you can end up in a distant carpark and the keyfob does not work. So you manually have to enter the car via the passenger door lock. So having been caught out in a carpark DOH, I now carry under the passenger carpet a button battery for fixed key CR2016, a button battery for the flick key CR2032, and a 1p coin to open the key fob up.
