Hello, good morning, I hope you are well, I have some questions, I hope you can help me. I have a godin metropolis and the strings are 0.12 to 0.53, they are very hard for me because I use arpeggio a lot and I can't do it well with that tension. The question is: if I change from 0.10 to 0.46 if there is a significant difference in smoothness? Is there a difference in the tuning? Can the neck be decalibrated?
Tuning wouldn't be an issue, but going down to 10's would be too much. Try 11's first and see if that works for you. If it's still not what you're after take the instrument to a qualified tech who can make adjustments to match your style.
