The fact that there are so many videos with workarounds for this issue speaks volumes to the the issue of TikTok not supporting a core feature of their app
It's not that simple at all. There's always a ~0,5 sec lag between host and recorded audio on ANDROID phones. The only "easy" solution/workaround I found is to do exactly the opposite of what TikTok recommends: I let the host audio play via the phone speaker(s) along with what I'm recording. Then I need to mute the host audio in the "Volume" setting by putting "Added sound" slider to 0. This way I get absolutely zero delay between my audio and host audio, but the quality is terrible. Using a bluetooth speaker instead of the phone speaker slighly improves quality, but it's still far from being good. It's a shame that TikTok doesn't adress this issue for so long. It's really driving me (and thousands of others) crazy
I’m sorry this is not working for you and a few others. But I do want to say that it’s working for thousands and hundreds of thousands as well as that’s how you see the videos made on the platform and on the for you page. For some it may not work, but trying this and other videos that I have made have helped many. Not sure why it’s not working for others, but I want to go on record and say that because it doesn’t work for some doesn’t mean it doesn’t work at all. if that were the case, you would never see anyone’s video at all on tick-tock ever syncing up but obviously we all see videos that are syncing up and it’s because it’s working fine for them.
Oh man, thank you for this- I tried bluetooth earbuds and my Shure MV51 mic plugged directly in with professional headphones and was SO frustrated that I couldn't get either to work, even after digging for hours through troubleshooting info on the internet, clearing my cache, rebooting the phone, recording with earbuds and taking them out to listen back, trying to record with my MV51 and a WHOLE LOT of distortion then listening back on the phone speaker. Delayed and or distorted every time....turns out the entire issue is that tiktok doesn't play nice with my android phone- why isn't anyone else pointing this out? The solution you suggested worked for me, but it's SO quiet and low quality. At lease it kind of works though.
You seemed so sure, but this did not work for me. Even when you got to the solution, I was like "Nah, it can't be that simple", but I tried it anyway. To no avail. I've tried dueting with wireless, wired, directly through the phone mic even, uninstalled/reinstalled TikTok, cleared cache. Nothing is working at all. I find myself pretty tech savvy, but I'm really not understanding what is causing the issue.

Hi, thx for these tips. I did all of the above with my AirPods on my iPhone 12 Pro Max and there’s still a bad delay. Did you have any other special hacks for AirPods?
Yes because as long as I have been making these videos there are 3 reasons why it does not work for people. 1, tiktok not updated, 2, wack earbuds using the mic on them, 3, it’s syncing fine but people are not going through till the end and then taking out the earbuds to hear the actual playback audio on the speaker from their phone, they still have the delayed playback going from their jacked up Bluetooth earbuds
