This video explains about the working of joystick in construction equipments like JCB, Caterpillar, L&T etc. Earlier days manual control levers were used to control the construction equipments. The lever will be mechanically linked with the spool of the valve block. So as we move the lever the, we are mechanically (directly) moving the spool of the valve block (so there is an effort). But in joystick a servo pump is used to provide a flow directly to the spool on the valve block to move it.

Pump doesnt create pressure it does maintain a flow under around 25-40 bar, and this flow is maintained by the servo pump.

I like your teachings. I need some help with my ASV track loader it has hydraulic pilot controls and it works fine going forward and reverse but if you want to turn left or right I must move the control very slowly to make it work if I move it fast nothing will happen could it be the pressure is to low on the servo pump or could it be leaking inside the joy stick valve ? once it is engaged in the turn it work fine until I want to turn again then i must stop and move it very slow again please help thank you.

it will be much better if u explain the components attach with joystick such as spring, spool and other valves and how the joystick control the flow with the servo pump..............u just gave an overview of joystick mechanism
Yes in some system the joysticks use the pressure from the main pump. of course with a reducing pressure valve in line. Good video, but the joystick doesn't have a spool lol

This is not a good explanation since it is very simplified.
The servo valve is presented as one single valve, in reality, it is 4 individual servo valves below each joystick. Also, the important factor of the servo hydraulics is the pressure, not the flow. The servo valve puts out a variable pressure depending on how much you move the joystick. A low servo pressure output will move the main valve just a little and the bucket moves slowly, and a high servo pressure output vill move the main valve more, and the bucket moves faster. There are a bias spring between the joystick and the servo valve, and another centering spring behind the main spool valve. These two springs are crucial for a proportional pilot joystick operation.....
Does it use two valve blocks for the up and down motions of the bucket?
No, it only uses one valve block for this particular function.

Servo pump are basically gear pumps which maintain a continuous flow once the hydraulic circuit is on.

I just bought a jcb 3cx year 2000.the problem I am having is I am use to the joystick working one way on other backhoe however this one is working back way, how can I change this
If by "back way" you mean opposite of what you're used to then here's what might be going on... On some machines there are switches that will change the operation of the controls, in this variation you have iso and exo control format. To find out if your machine has this or where the switch is you'll need to do some research on your machine. If your machine doesn't have this then the lines are hooked up opposite to what you're used to. The only way to fix this is to figure which line goes to which hydraulic cylinder and hook them up to your valves the way you want. Also on machines with the iso and exo switches, these machines sometimes have speed controls for your lever to cylinder response. So if you want you can change the speed everything on the boom.
