The idea of light being a thing that travels, like it's rain or an arrow does maze the mind a little, doesn't it?
Enjoying you enjoying this, keep up the reactions!

Great reaction and analysis as usual, Wren. Always enjoy watching this with you.
I enjoy the character growth in this episode. We see Ashford become more of a leader of people versus the captain of a crew. We see how dedicated and stubborn Drummer is. Literally nothing will stop her. This is definitely one of the reasons I like her character. Melba's growth is small but you can see it in her face when she is in her cell listening to Holden and Naomi.
Thanks for sharing with us. Looking forward to the next reaction.

If I heard correctly anna was saying sparing her was NOT mercy. She says it WAS vanity. She was admitting she has some kind of grudge, and sparing her was just to let her feel like she justify she is a good person in thought, even though she knows she was lying to herself. At least that is how I interpreted that’s what she is saying when she was talking to Melba.

Yes, that’s what the entire conversation was about. Anna recognizes she’s not living up to her own ideals, as humans inevitably fail to do, and is trying to reconcile with that. It’s not at all that her set of morals are “faked”.
I also don’t agree that Amos always does what he thinks is right, he makes it very clear that he does what he thinks he _has_ to do to survive/protect someone he sees as worth protecting, but that’s very different from thinking that is what is morally right. He doesn’t believe he has any idea what the right thing is most of the time, which is why he leans so heavily on finding people to follow that he does see as morally good.

G'day Wren From across the Ditch 🌊 thank you for the watch along , I love the regression edit technique you employed with the slight blurriness 👍,
Also love the 33d Doctor John Pertwee & Brigadier General Lethbridge Stewart . And the Tom Baker Scarf 🧣 sets everything . Thank you

13:50 "the humans are very quick to jump to the idea of something being a weapon so until it actually does attack and not just defend itself ... part of me will always be wondering if that's what it's actually doing or if the humans are projecting that onto the protomolecule"

If a small hand genade caused the PM to slam on the brakes and wipe out a third of the crews, I wonder what a nuke detonation will do. Not the brightest idea.

oh, that was an interesting question to ask, where does the protomolecule build its road to? guess we might find out in the next episode!
Is it Anna as a character who is flat, or is it her faith that is? with what you said I am inclined to think the latter.

If you think being paralysed is going to slow Drummer I have to ask are you watching the show? You don’t need legs when you can fly in fury . . .

Seems that you consider everything Holden says or does as "white-knighting"... It's getting old.
