I've loved Declan's music for years, and I had the privilege of hearing him in concert a few times. This song has gotten me through some really dark times. Sometimes all you need is a soothing voice reminding you that things will be ok, and that you are still alive. Thank you Declan for your comforting music.
Moved across the seas to a new land, I was extremely lonely at times, this guy, his music and words gave me a pat on my back, kept me going, very grateful for people like you !! Thank you
This song gets me every time, I close my eyes and it's my Dad reassuring me. I discovered Declan about 8 years ago when I tagged along with friends to see him at the An Grianan, such a talent and personality. I've been enjoying his beautiful voice ever since.
Might sound corny but you just got to see him live to appreciate fully the beauty in his music, lyrics and in Declan himself, a beautiful soul. Took the kids with us to see him in Conary last year, very special.
When I first found this song I was going through a really difficult time in my life and listening to this was so soothing and reassuring. Music is powerful. Thank you Declan for this and for a wonderful chance meeting because of you and your music. :)
I listened to you on the NZ concert station and was memorized with 'children of 16' and loved your voice with that song and then this one too is gorgeous.
Was at the National Concert Hall it was amazing, front row, nearly brought to tears.... Live near Rush and wishing we weren't out of the country so that we could see you at the Millbank Theater great little venue so sending the whole family. I cant find chords for this song anywhere I Believe its in G and slightly downtuned but just cant quite get it please help..
Declan plays this in an open tuning. You can drop it down a half step in standard tuning and then its just basic chords, Em/Am etc which you can figure out. It wont be exactly as he plays it but you'll be able to play along.
This song saved my life - literally
I'm glad of that and hope you are well. Always done it for me as well.

Sometimes a song comes to you just when you need it the most. Extraordinary
"The first thing I want you to know is that everything is going to be alright". Such simple lyrics that mean everything. Beautiful

Time for another studio romp! From the man who saw Paul Simon
💕💕💕💕💕💕
Galileo is his "Yesterday." 👌
I don't suppose anybody knows the chords to this song?
He is better live. :)
He's a wonderful singer/songwriter/guitarist but he's terrible at lip-syncing!
