Very good.....I have 2 Wii U consoles but only one gamepad....at least i can switch it back and forth now. The disc drive isn't working on my original Wii U, where I have a lot of Virtual Console games, and now I can olay my disc games on my 2nd Wii U..... I needed to get o to the settings to turn off the screen timer but got blocked, needed the gamepad to do it...... reliving all my old memories....playing Zelda Twilight Princess 👸
This isn't working for me. Tried for about an hour and still it won't sync, even after entering the symbols. I'll be gutted if I lose my Zelda gamepad over this.

You are watching what is supposed to be the equivalent of the Instruction Booklets. These are not meant for people who already know and/or has done what they needed to do...
Instead of showing symbols in the tv it just says a message that an error occurred. I tried this multiple time and it comes with the same outcome what do I do?
If your gamepad asks to sync up and you type in the code to sync it up and it doesn't, and instead it keeps asking you to when it should have worked the first time, I found if you turn off everything then press the tv button on the game pad, then press power on the console, wait for the Wii U logo to appear behind the gamepads tv remote, then exit out. This should bypass the code it keeps asking you to type in.

this kind of helpful because my Wii U gamepad screen is broken and the Wii U gamepad works but the screen does not work well it glitches out and it's broken so I'm probably going to buy a replacement Wii U and yeah I'm going to do what this guy said
my wii u will only connect to the console if its right by it. if I step back more then one foot it tells me to check the connect. I have unplugged. re-sync. (multiple times) and there is nothing in front of it. :'( and of course my warranty ended 2 months before this started happening.
Daleri Earnest I also keep having the same issue, I called Nintendo, make sure it's not to close to any metal, and not to close to your wifi router. I did this and it helped a little, but I still can't be like 2 inches away from it. :(
It's already on the Wii U.... Hulu plus, netflix, TH-cam, and amazon video is on the console and I'm using it right now. You can even use the browser to watch youtube videos, I'm writing this comment on the Wii U right now lol.

Hey. I know I am 10 months late but I can help you with this. Start your console and press the sync button twice on your WiiU. Now the console is in sync mode. You can now turn off the gamepad without turning off the WiiU because in sync mode it's ignoring any commands. Now turn your Pad on again and after that press the sync button on the Gamepad itself. You should now be able to press the buttons shown on you tv and re-sync it again.
I don't know about the imac since I own a pc, but I know a similar problem is happening to the Wii U browser. I read it's due to a prblm from youtube with accepting HTML 5 or smthing...so maybe you coul try another web browser, like chrome
I have 2 wii u systems. One is synced to the tv, but most of the games we play are on the other console. I can't seem to get the second console to connect to the tv. All that connects the one is an hdmi cable. I plugged that one into the one I want to use, but it won't show onscreen. I get a message on the game pad that says it's already been paired, but no connection to the tv. Smart tv.

The symbols shows on my Gamepad, but nothing on TV screen and the blue and red light on the Wii U console only blinking.
At least this is better than the Wii remotes where you have to repeatedly press both sync buttons at the same time...

I recently broke my Wii U gamepad and had to replace it thanks to this tutorial
