Many more employees deserved that position, and this is already creating frictions and frustrations. All I can say is that you can climb a ladder on diversity quotas for years. I really tried to find out something related even remotely to gaming or being passionate about it in her previous career, not that it's required, but it's always a huge plus knowing what leaders who actually are gamers and know what they're talking about tend to make a difference (i.e. Jim Ryan's numb record as opposed to someone like Shawn Layden who was much more appreciated by gamers). All I could find about Sarah is that when asked about it, she vaguely mentioned that as growing up, she watched her dad play some games... Other than that she spent her entire prior career as a marketer at T-Mobile, and is relatively new to gaming as a whole. Imo expect a lot of just wearing green and put on a happy face reading some script about the greatness of cloud gaming, being a hollow sounding communicator, nothing more. Aside from ideological woke quotas, I think that many of these recent promotions, including Matt Bouty's and Phil's, is solely the result of their contribution in making the ABK deal happen (Sarah made a good impression explaining gaming to a juge back then, that's about it). So overall these self-promoting moves sound rather inconsiderate and shallow to say the least.
