Can you please use a lavelear microphone? the noise in the background makes it hard to listen. Thanks!Another snorkel tip, buy a simple snorkel with a large diameter, it make for easier breathing. Also I don't use clips/straps because it is much faster to just stick it underneath the mask strap. Like you I attach a float so when I go down I can hand the snorkel off to my buddy knowing it wont sink and I don't need to deal with it's drag. This way me and my buddy can share a snorkel for line diving.I don't like valves on snorkels because sand and wear will make them leak at inconvenient times. For freediving and snorkelling I nowadays like a bright snorkel because it make me a bit easier to see by my buddy and boats.Clean you snorkel.Make sure it fits comfortably because when you're in for hours comfort is important.

Hi! Actually, my mic is pretty good, but this morning was A LOT of cicadas!! Haha
About the valve. Agree with your point about the sand, but I don't remember when for the last 10 years of snorkeling/scuba diving/freediving I ever have a piece of send in my snorkel. Anyway it is true, if send come in, you should remove it
For attachment - when I dive I always dive with a nose clip, so, no snorkel anyway. When do safety - sometimes attach it, sometimes under the strap, not a big difference in my opinion.
About brightness - good point, though I wouldn't count on it to deal with boat traffic. We always use a float (my next video going to be about it) for recreational Freediving as well
Thx for the feedback anyway! In what part of the world are you Freediving? :-)

      Thanks for the reply.
I'm diving mostly in Netherlands; and that is cold and dark, and mostly not deeper then 20m. however we do a lot of practice for when we go on vacation to a place with blue waters, such as this year's World Championship in France. At this moment we're still doing dynamics in the pool, but I plan on getting out soon in my 7mm.

@@KAIZENFREEDIVING I had once sand in a snorkel. It happens mostly not when you dive, but when you put your snorkel next to you while sunbathing.

And I am in love with purge snorkels! It's so much easier And I like solid snorkel - I hold it with my mouth only and its not "falling". So I don't need to attach it to mask strap. and its much more comfy to leave it on a buoy.
